I called this business about a month ago to schedule a grooming appointment for my dog. I was told…read morethe soonest available appointment was September 1, 2026 at 2:30 PM, so we waited nearly a month for that appointment. This was only our second time using this business. Our previous appointment had been very early in the morning, and as I recall, my husband dropped our dog off. This time, I personally brought him in for the appointment at the time I had been given. When I arrived, I told the employee with blonde hair that we had a 2:30 PM grooming appointment. She immediately told me that their drop-off times were between approximately 7:00 and 10:00 AM. I explained that no one had ever told me that when I made the appointment. Her response, in a very dismissive and snarky tone, was essentially, "Well, I don't know who you talked to, but drop-off is 7-10." I explained again that I had specifically been given a 2:30 appointment and that we had waited nearly a month. I even looked at the appointment book and could see that our dog appeared to be written down for that time. Instead of trying to resolve the misunderstanding, she repeatedly told me that my dog was not getting groomed that day. She then offered another appointment eight days later, as though that should simply solve the problem. I told her that I didn't think that was fair because we had shown up exactly when we were told to show up. If there was a misunderstanding about their drop-off policy, that should have been addressed when the appointment was made -- not when we arrived nearly a month later. The employee continued to be extremely rude and dismissive. I told her that I felt she was being rude to me. Her response was to tell me to "get the f* out of the store, b****."** I have never been spoken to that way by someone providing customer service. Mistakes happen. If I had been told when I booked the appointment that dogs had to be dropped off between 7-10 AM, I would have followed those instructions. The problem was not that there was a policy -- the problem was that we were never informed of it, yet we were treated as though it was somehow our fault. We waited almost a month, arrived at the appointment time we were given, and instead of receiving an apology or having someone attempt to find a reasonable solution, I was met with hostility and profanity. Being frustrated is one thing. Telling a customer to "get the f* out" and calling them a b**** is completely unacceptable.** Needless to say, we will not be returning. Customer service matters, and there are plenty of other businesses that can groom our dog without treating us with disrespect. This is my memory of the event.

First, I just think the owner here cares more about what is happening and is more involved in the day to day operations and how the animals are handled. Second, Daisy (our beagle) just seems to be less traumatized staying here. At another provider, we got sent home with a bed covered in our dogs urine. What this told us is that they were not letting her out enough. That isn't an issue here at Riverside Meadows because they have some indoor/outdoor options where the dog can go in and out. That seems to work better for Daisy. We just feel Daisy is cared for a bit more here. The downside to this place is that they only take cash or check. No credit cards. Also, their entire system of keeping track of their guests and visits is old school paper and pencil. While I appreciate that some people just prefer that, having a computerized system of doing things seems a bit more organized. The last time I came in they couldn't find our "card" with all of our information. It apparently disappeared, though we've been coming here for years now. So, they seem a bit disorganized from that perspective and could use some updating. Overall though, we have been very happy and will continue to be customers. It's way out west but worth the drive.

I've left all of my pets in the care of Susan and her staff for years, and now my children who've grown and have pets of their own are now leaving their pet children in Susan's and the staff at Riverside's care. You'll never have to worry one minute about the care they receive. They will be loved as if you are there. Your pet children will have walks, play time and even a bath if you wish, before you take them home. The staff here understands that you love these furry children of yours and will understand if you feel like calling every day while your away to check on them. Not to mention, if they don't seem to be adjusting to your absence, you'll receive a call from Riverside because they want your pet to be happy. After moving and looking for a new place now, I found them under a different name so was hoping it was different ownership. It might be but the lady who nipped my dog still worked there. She was NOT my groomer this time. I went here for a while and it seems like the groomer was "dog shaming" me. She would tell me how matted my dog was and give her terrible haircuts claiming that she had to. She also said my dog was mean and needed a muzzle. I took them to PetSmart last weekend and they raved about how good she was and that it must have been the old groomer's bad energy that made her like that! Who knows but regardless, I will be going to PetSmart from now on.

No shade to that office, I loved the care we received, but the wait and the cost became prohibitive. Yes, it's a very old building that's seen better days, but what I care about is the care my pet receives. Dr. Pettit was straight forward when discussing possible diagnoses and I respect that. He was conservative with treatment options, and didn't jump to recommending expensive tests right off the bat. The important thing is, he figured out what was wrong with my cat, and did so for about 1/2 the cost of what my previous vet would have charged. Highly recommend!
