I contracted with Jean's Canvas Products to create a custom canvas bag 36"x42"x6" wide. What I got was a hunk of bad smelling green canvas about 3x4 feet. No bag. Just a few staples at some of the edges, and a few eye-hooks in the bad smelling material. It smelled so bad that I had to throw it away. I tried contacting the site but once they has my pre-paid money I couldn't get through to anyone. I would strongly warn anyone ordering from this organization or its manager (manager@jeanscanvas.com) to go somewhere else. After another month of searching I finally found another company through AMAZON and they provided almost exactly the canvas bag I originally wanted for half the price ... and it was perfect ... and it smelled just fine. read more

I just installed the sail bag for my boat's lazy jacks, and the cockpit cover, that were manufactured by Jeans Canvas Products. I purchased a solid safety cover from Leslie's pools in Tom's River which I paid about $2500. for. Now about 5 years later a tree branch fell and caused about a 1 inch puncture to the cover. Also, in the time since its been new a couple of the panels stretched. As such, I brought the cover to Jean's Canvas Products for repair. Without even looking at the cover I was immediately chastised for buying what they assumed was a cheap off brand "internet cover". I explained I purchased it at my local brick and mortar pool store to which they said at $2500. it's still a poor quality off brand pool cover but they will take a look at it. After they saw it they said the quality isn't as bad as they assumed it would be and they can fix it. I was told I had to leave a $250. deposit and if the repair goes any higher they would call me before doing it. About 3 weeks later I recieved a phone call from them. They said they surveyed the cover and patched the tree branch hole. As far as the stretched panels they said it would be far too costly and labor intensive to fix and they wouldn't attempt it even if I wanted it done. I said so I paid $250. for just a patch? To which they said $250. is the minimum for them to lay out and survey the cover. Here is my problems with Jeans Canvas products: 1- Do people outside the "canvas industry" know what brand and off brand is? 2- $250. to "survey" fancy word for just looking at is ridiculous. 3- For my $250. they only patched the small hole not replaced the panel. In short, in my opinion, this place is a rip off. read more

If I can give zero stars I would. During my order process, I wanted to confirm that the correct size was written on the contract. I emailed an employee copied her manager. I guess she accidentally "replied all" which copied me. The reply email said "the proposal does says 10x13'...she is just going to be a royal pain in the ass.
