My mom simply walked in asking if he can do certain services on her jewelry in a very normal way, and he immidietely starts saying how it won't be free (no shit) my mom kept saying she doesnt expect it to be free lol, after that, because of my moms appearence, he just said out of nowhere, you should go get it done in India. (Wtf?) my mom said why would i get it done in india? He replied: "because u r Indian. U can get it done cheaply there". (We are not Indian) and kept saying how he is from Iran. Regrettably, I'm going to have to go against the general opinion of the public in my review of Saatchi. I visited them in an effort to get a fine-linked silver chain repaired, and was quickly buzzed into the store. The lady behind the counter was quite quick and friendly to offer her help, took the chain to examine it, and quoted me a price to repair it. I then asked for a written repair estimate, which I needed for a claim. When she didn't understand me and turned to another younger gentleman behind the counter is when things went south. He quickly turned to me with an arrogant and impatient demeanor and demanded to know what I wanted. After reiterating my request for a written estimate, he again verbally gave me a quote. Patiently, for the fourth time, requesting a written estimate finally got through to him and I was given a business card with the dollar figure scribbled across the back. He then asked if I wanted to leave the chain with him to be repaired. Sorry - I don't intend to come back to a business that carries such a poor opinion of new customers coming through the door that they get aggressively spoken to and their requests ignored. I asked him to size my mother's wedding band for me. She had passed away about a month before. When I picked up the ring there was a diamond missing. I asked him why would he try to give me back my mother's ring with a stone missing? He said "its probably in the machine". After some rude banter back and forth he said "what you want to do..kill me ?" I said no all I want is my mothers ring back the way I gave it to you and I started to cry". He then MIMICKED me crying. Store hours that are posted do not reflect the businesses actual hours. I called multiple times yet have not received a response. I don't want to waste gas and time driving somewhere for absolutely no reason. Not only do the posted store hours not reflect actual hours. When I finally was able to get inside and give them my necklace to put a pendant on it, they told me to come back the next day at 2 o clock. The store was closed when I got there and just as I left I saw someone unlock the door and walk into the store. I went back but once I peeked inside the man waved at me saying no they're closed, but I was told by him to return at 2 o clock. I can't wait once this is over and I have my necklace, this place has truly been a nightmare to deal with. Please change the hours for other people who wish to do business, and don't tell customers to return the next day only to leave them to walk away from a closed door. read more
