I now live in the Saint Johns area and still drive into jacksonville just to shop there for my human braiding hair... the associates are mostly pleasent and helpful and the owners (although stoic presenting) have always been cordial. On average I've spent almost 300$ everytime. We ladies know quality human hair is expensive and depending on the lengths. For the styles I want to achieve it's anywhere from 50$-80$ per pack! I get 3 EVERYTIME and sometimes 4 if I want to mix in a color. On top of that there are the little odds and ends that get picked up just because. Yes, I know, impulse buying... anywho. Wed 25 Jun I went there with my husand and our two girls, and like always I looked around for the human hair aisle while they puttered about. I got 3 packs of human hair... 16"Zury 1B $49.99 18" Zury 1B $59.99 and 24" Kemi $79.99. The hubs got the girls a few things and the afew more things at the counter. Nothing in me has ever lead me to believe that the hair lengths were not what was on the packaging... I get home and prep it for bleaching as I have done many times in the past. I go through the entire process and I'm now ready this morning to get started. I go to my hair bin and get out the color I wanted to add. 18" Model Model Dream Weaver #30 which was previously purchased maybe $59.99 I don't recall. I set the hair out so that I can begin to unravel the elastic gold band and as the hair is laying on top of eachother I notice a discrepancy... I said this can't be right. I looked back at the bags and then my receipt and when I confirmed what they all said, I got out my measuring tape. Well I was surprised to say the least and felt very angry and betrayed to say the most. How could this happen? It's never happened before. The 16" was 14" the 18" was 16" and the 24 was 22! I even asked the Hubs to look at it in case I might be wrong. I was not. So I composed myself and called the store. An associate came on and listened for a bit and then put on the store owner. He was NOT helpful AT ALL. He blamed the manufacturer. obviously they can't check the length of every pack of hair... but woth this information he should probably reach out to them and find out what's going on. No he said he could not help and he could not give me more hair. He said the most he could do was 10%... I was appalled. I didn't have time to ride back up there right then as I'm sure many women don't or don't want to be bothered... but I asked him if this has never happened before, can't you take a loss a loyal customer? And get on the manufacture for false advertising? He had gotten rude with me and said something like why I'm asking him the same thing over and over and how come I'm the only person in the 10 years he's been there to ever complain about this... how should I know? I kept my cool although I'm sure he could hear it in my voice. He said he could not do anything... I said you own the store, you could charge it as a loss, like when people steal no? No he could not help me at all and he would not be calling. He gave me the numbers to call Zury and femi. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau as well. You'd rather lose a loyal customer that you can continue to have for years and years to come? This could've been a better review, singing the praises of Coco Beauty, for being so understanding... Instead I'm here saying buyer be WARNED! Check the length of hair you have gotten from this store! And shop somewhere else for your beauty supply needs BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I was in town visiting from California and looking to get my hair braided. When I contacted Natural Glow, they mentioned I can call Amina to see if she would do my hair. I spoke to Amina for a consultation, answered all her questions, booked the appointment, purchased the hair she needed me to have for the 6pm appointment. Even though I already had braiding hair, she told me she only braids with one brand and I obliged by getting more hair. (This probably should've been the 1st red flag). I asked her if I could book on a website or if she needed anything further for the appointment. She told me that on the day of the appointment, she just needed me to keep her posted on whether or not plans change, which I confirmed I'd do and I did exactly that. On the morning of the appointment, I texted to confirm that I will see her that evening. Then, I texted her again to say I'm on my way. Last text, I sent to let her know I would be 5mins late since I'm not familiar with the area and took a wrong turn. Her response "Ma'am I'm leaving". No text to give me a landmark or help with directions. Just straight up, bye. Gave her a call to explain further and she gave me an attitude about running behind by 5mins. Seriously, 5mins?! She told me to expect getting my hair braided for 4hrs to 5hrs and she's upset about waiting 5mins?! Completely unreasonable behavior, there's absolutely no logic behind that. Mind you, when I got there, the ENTIRE salon was dark and locked up as if it was already closed looong before I arrived. There's no way she stayed until 6:05pm and shut the WHOLE place down and drove away by 6:06pm. Basically, she wasn't even there and tried to gaslight me, as if I was the problem. She then asked if I would like her to come back. I responded "Yes, please", only to then say she won't come back because I sounded upset. Like, just playing games and gaslighting...she was NEVER there to begin with! I checked this Yelp page to see their salon hours and it states that it closes at 4pm, which makes way more sense in hindsight. I was completely accommodating and made sure she was informed about everything- confirmed purchasing the hair, confirmed I would be there at the appointment and kept her posted about running behind. My husband had to push back a meeting to even take me to this place but no, it's not about the customer and their time. It's ONLY about Amina's time. She's in cosmetology school and I truly don't see her going far. She's a liar, she's unprofessional and exhibits petty/immature behavior. Giving this place 0 stars. I travel a lot for work and been to different hair salons throughout the country, hands down this is the worst one I've ever come across.

I almost did not post this, but thus was literally the first time in my life, that i have cried…read moreover a bad haircut. First, we arrived at the accredited time, 11 for our appointment. Sometime after 11:30, the person scheduled to do my hair shows up. I show him a picture of how i would like my hair colored (decided to embrace the gray), but wanted to add a few highlights if purple, for fun. I took him i wanted my hair shoulder length. At no time, did he indicate that gray can be a tricky color, or i would have stuck with an overall 1 color look, as i was getting my hair done so i could travel to surprise family. What i got, was sitting at the salon for 7 hours, 50 minutes, a chin length bob, and platinum blonde highlights with orange tones. Oh, And the few purple highlights, those had to be done twice, because the first time, they looked like algae green after the first toner treatment. The cut is uneven and has some longer pieces. He did apologize profusely, and gave me a small discount and offered my next cut for free. Additionally, he called the next day, but it didn't help.
