She greeted me with a warm welcome when I arrived for my first appointment. We tried on about 7 dresses before I tried on *the one*! I bought the dress off the rack then and there. There was one catch, while I was worried about the timeline and wanted to ensure I didn't run into any set backs, I still wanted to shop for the perfect dress with my mom, sister and mother in law. Throughout the appointment she complained about having work to do, talked about how she "doesn't need to do this for work," and repeatedly mentioned being ready to quit. She also never responded to texts or calls, even when my mom reached out multiple times with important questions. Instead of creating a supportive environment, she spent most of the appointment venting about her kids and personal stress. What hurt the most was how she treated me personally. I was clearly nervous and overwhelmed, and she didn't care at all. Her tone and comments made me feel insecure and sad during what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life. I actually left the appointment feeling ugly, ended up not choosing the dress because of how she made me feel, and cried afterward. No bride should ever be made to feel that way. Let me start by saying how amazed and glad I am that this business is in my area…read more I saw the reviews from the ladies claiming racism disrespect and wanted to find out more, I came and asked what's going on since my experience with this place (my fiancé shopped here during our visit) and Fay the business owner told me her side of the story and showed me the video footage from the camera and it began to all make sense. I would like to direct my message to the people claiming such negative and hateful things please read this 1- when you go to an elegant boutique with lots of high end products you need to comply with rules, such as not grabbing everything and dragging it around as if it is a tshirt at marshals 2- to see something from the rack ask for assistance do not grab it and leave it on the ground 3- do not call the business owner a "f****g b****h" because she asked you if you need assistance 4- do not claim racism when you and the business owner are both people of color and different race... 5- I understand using the race card can sometimes get you attention and maybe even a few Facebook likes but using it in a situation where you are at fault and had police called on you for threading to attack a business owner makes you look foolish, pathetic and trashy(which based on the video I can tell you are that last one) 6- don't teach your kids how to be thugs at a young age.. be an example for your kids. So instead of telling your daughter to "call her a b***h and beat her a**" tell your daughter to show respect and stop acting so ghetto. Last but not least, don't shop in places that are outside of your comfort zone and you won't feel mistreated by the rules such places have for everyone. Sorry for the long post.
