Their seamstress Lubia who did my alterations was absolutely amazing - her work was so beautiful, and she instantly knew what to do from the very beginning to enhance my dress and make it a million times better. She also saw my exact vision of what I was wanting and made her changes based on my vibe and what would specifically look best for my body. She made my dreams come true with it 1000000x better than I even imagined it! Alterations can truly make or break a wedding dress and I cannot recommend Lubia and her work enough. When I showed up at the Chicago location, I was feeling really defeated by my dress search and thought I'd never find "the one". I have worked with Bella Bianca during my days planning weddings in Chicago at Big City Bride and always knew I wanted to get my wedding dress from them! Every time I would refer a client, I always heard amazing things! My experience was nothing short of that. My consultant was Lauren Berman and she was incredible! I loved my appointment with her - she was friendly, relatable, and just gets it! I showed her dresses I loved and styles I thought I wanted. But as my appointment date approached I was drawn to dresses that were simple but chic. When I mentioned this she said "I have a dress in mind if you're willing to try something different on" - I said of course! When I tried it on in the fitting room, I was speechless. Then walking out to show my group, my mom immediately started crying and so did my friends! It wasn't until Lauren paired it with the most incredible veil that I started crying and knew it was the one! Fast forward to my first fitting, I had lost almost 40 pounds. Lauren introduced me to my seamstress, Brenda! I swear she is a magician! My dress had to be taken in 5-6 inches and Brenda was not at all worried - said it would be a simple task! The next time I came in, my dress fit like a glove and as if nothing was altered at all! From my first appointment with Lauren to my last fitting with Brenda, my experience was amazing. The first visit to try on dresses went great! The showroom was lovely and the attendant very helpful. The problems arrived after I ordered my dress and paid my money. The dress I feel in love with was Ivory but had Organza undertones. Against my skin tone, this looked strange, as my skin color is brown, the dress was ivory, the undertones were Organza, and the breast cups nude. I asked if the entire dress could be changed to Ivory. Bella Bianca spoke to the designer who said it wasn't possible. I refused to purchase without the customizations. The designer then said they'd do it for an additional fee which was ridiculous as the change was simple and the dresses are supposedly "made to order," but I agreed. I was charged a fee to change the breast cups to ivory; I was charged a fee to change the under fabric in the dress to ivory; and I was charged a fee to increase the cup size. I also signed a paper that stated hemming and bustling alterations from Bella Bianca were a set price. When I got the dress back, some of the under fabric that I had already paid to be changed was still not ivory and the cup sizes that I paid to be increased were not the size I gave and signed on the paper. When I brought this to their attention, I was told they'd fix the fabric color at alternations, and the breast cups only go up to a certain size. I was not told the breast cups only went up to a certain size at the time of purchase nor when I paid additional money for the breast cup to be in my specific size that was in writing. Fast forward to alternations, I'm told changing the under fabric that was already supposed to be changed would cost me additional. I expressed how this was ridiculous as we already paid them to do it when we bought the dress and it wasn't done, so they need to work it out. I was then told, the set fee for hemming and bustling on applied to specific dresses, and to bustle my dress it would be an additional fee. This was also outrageous as this was not stated at the time of purchase, and on the paper I was given, in writing, nothing specified qualifiers for types of dresses. The set price stated hemming and bustling for a set fee for the dress purchased. I expressed the concerns and we ended up coming to an agreement. My dress was great in the end, so I'll give them 4 stars, however I should not have had to go through all this with a professional business. I'm a professional and I believe in having things in writing. When things are in writing and I have to go back and forth for them to be honored, it makes me question the integrity of the company. read more

WOW. I had the BEST experience at Bella Bianca Bridal Couture. First of all, it's a beautiful store. They constantly have new gowns arriving (I bought my gown from a trunk sale that was only there for that week) and it will never feel stale in there. Dresses are coming and going as styles evolve and change for brides. The store is clean, cute, has great lighting (essential) and is in a great location (I visited the Chicago branch). What's more important was the service. I worked with Lauren Knutson as my consultant. She was kind, helpful, and offered tips on hemming and bustle (very welcomed advice from this bride who was totally clueless!). She was also honest when I asked for input, and if I didn't trust her I wouldn't have asked, but I appreciated her professional opinion. When I found "the one" she was right there, hyping us all up, and talking me through if we wanted to add a veil or not and most importantly brought champagne! I was obsessed with my dress. It was such a stunner and I can't help but stare at pictures after. The entire team is super kind and genuine. That's huge in this industry. I had to leave a review for Lauren at Bella Bianca--she was absolutely amazing, helpful, and kind. My mom, sister, and I arrived for our appointment at their new location on Rush St and it is stunning. They had all their dresses as a focal point in the middle of the shop, tons of natural light, and alcoves for each dressing room. The whole shop had a great, refined vibe and the alcoves for the dressing rooms and seating allowed for privacy and an intimate appointment experience. The dressing room I was in was big, which I really appreciated because getting in and out of those gowns requires some extra room. Covid-wise, I felt very comfortable there--all stylists were wearing masks, they had hand sanitizer everywhere, and the place was very clean. Their main rule was that brides could remove masks only when on the pedestal so you can get the full feeling of what the dress looks like. Lauren asked me about the wedding and about what kind of dresses I was interested in. She repeated back to me what it sounded like I was looking for, asked some great questions, and also talked about some dresses she thought might be a good idea. She pulled some dresses and put them into the fitting room, and then we talked briefly about why she picked what she did before we began. Lauren would go into detail about pricing and the dress itself while we were alone in the dressing room putting it on--a small thing, but a considerate touch when you may be with a group that you don't want to discuss budget in front of. Lauren was knowledgeable and considerate when it came to addressing our questions, making sure to let us know what we could change with each dress to make it my own. Lauren was so helpful and attentive, and she really made my experience at Bella Bianca amazing. She helped me find a dress that we thought could be the one, but was never pushy in trying to get me to say yes just so she could make the sale. I had told her there was another dress that was on my mind, and that I wasn't sure which one was "The One." It was very clear in working with Lauren that she has her client's goals in mind. I ended up going back to the other shop so that I could try that dress on again and decide for certain which dress would be the one, and Lauren said to give her a call to let her know how it goes--whether I say yes to the other dress or to the one at Bella Bianca, she wanted to congratulate me. Bella Bianca is not only one of the best selections of bridal gowns in Chicago, it is also the best service. Bella Bianca - specifically Lauren and Jim - created such an incredible EXPERIENCE for me. I was shopping for my gown on a 3.5 month deadline. I had a very vague, lame idea of what I wanted that changed when I saw each new rack of dresses. I was emotional because I was shopping alone, away from my mom (just moved here). And Lauren took it all in stride. First of all, Lauren was the first person in any salon, in any city, in any position or capacity to assure me that we could find the perfect gown and get it here in time. I immediately felt anxiety melt off of me. Champagne also helped. Lauren rolled with the punches, let me switch up my idea of dresses a few times, and brought out more champagne for my overly boisterous girlfriends. We felt so welcomed! I have to mention that Jim and Lauren were both super honest when I debated over different styles and dresses, in the most amazing best friend kind of way, which meant a lot to me since I didn't have a lot of friends or fam around to give feedback. I ended up feeling torn between two Haley Paige gowns and Jim was able to immediately confirm that Haley could rush the production of either dress, which is amazing and I'm pretty sure not every salon can do!!! Since I was torn, Lauren encouraged me to leave and sleep on it. She took my measurements and gave me the totals for both. This extra time and no pressure helped me pick the perfect gown!!! I dont even know where to start. THIS PLACES IS AWESOME!! I don't even live in chicago I went there to look for dresses (having one I really loved already). So I tried a lot that I like, but I was just so stubborn with this one and I'm not kidding it was the only model they didn't have from galia lahav in this location, the dress was in the other store they have, so long story short Ashley paid an uber (cause no one could bring the dress until the next day and I was not gonna be in town by then) did the impossible so the dress could arrived to the location we were (45 minutes away). the appointment become longer than expected because of my stuborness with this dress, at the end. It was definetely my dress. I SAID YES TO THE DRESS, TO THE VEIL, TO THE COMB!! The girl, Ashley was SO PATIENT with me I'm not kidding this girl deserves heaven!! They were super nice and warm. They HAVE A TON VARIETY! If you like 3D, simple, ball gowns. Their veils are stunning and with really good prices and their accesories are jaw dropping. I am not one to usually leave reviews, but immediately upon leaving Bella Bianca, my mom and I both said to each other we HAVE to leave a review of our experiences here because it was so amazing. My mom and I have been coming to Chicago annually for about 10 years now. Since this trip is always so special for us, I knew I wanted to do my wedding dress shopping in Chicago with my mom. I found Bella Bianca through Instagram. They have a lot of Anne Barge dresses, which is the designer I most gravitated towards. After finding Bella Bianca on Instagram, I then read reviews on here of them and I decided to schedule my appointment. I scheduled about 3-4 months in advance and got to choose what time I wanted to come in. I would definitely recommend scheduling an appointment right when they open - that is what I did. I believe mine was at 9:30 am. There were only a couple of other brides there at the same time, and I really couldn't even hear/see them. I think it's important to note the way the salon is set up also. I didn't know this before coming in, but it made my experience even better. The salon is set up in a way so you are separate from everybody else. Every bride and their guests are in their own little space, so I honestly could not hear or see any other bride unless they walked past my area. This was great, as I know a common complaint of bridal salons is that someone else has a loud party next to you and it is very distracting. That cannot be the case here. It was a perfect set up, not to mention it is absolutely beautiful in there. Anyway, let's get to why I had such a great time. My stylist was Katie, and I would SO recommend her if you can request her. She came and introduced herself and asked what my wedding will be like, where the venue is, and what dresses/styles I gravitate towards. I told her all the info, and she just knew the style I was going for. She pulled (i think) 4-5 dresses to begin with, and the first dress I tried on was THE ONE. She knew it on my face. My mom also knew it. Katie picked up on my mom's emotions too and my mom even made a comment after we left the bridal salon about how in tune she was with us because my mom said she didn't even notice herself tearing up until Katie mentioned it in a sweet way. Anyway, I discussed what I loved about the dress with Katie and she explained how it would look when it is actually my size and altered, etc., which was very helpful. She did a great job clipping me in, as the dress was pretty big on me and I am a size 0. After that, we tried on a couple of more, but every dress I tried on, Katie could tell I was always comparing them to the first one. She ended up pulling a couple more styles a little similar to my first one just to see if I liked any of those better, but I didn't. I ended up selecting the Bisous dress by Anne Barge. Katie then poured my mom and I some champagne to celebrate, and then left us alone to call my dad and brothers and show them my dress. Also, when I first tried on the dress, Katie went back and picked out a veil for me which I ended up getting because it was so perfect!!!! She knew the style I was going for - she really listened. She picked a beautiful veil with little pearl details. I didn't even look at any other veils there, nor did I expect to get a veil there, but it was so beautiful with the dress. She had great taste and knew exactly what I wanted. She also pulled a bouquet for me so I could really picture myself on my wedding day. Anyway, Katie was simply amazing. I was a little nervous about dress shopping because this was my first ever dress shopping experience, but right after Katie came and introduced herself, the nerves went away and I knew I was in good hands. I had scheduled an appointment at Bella Bianca for a Saturday afternoon, and was so excited for my appointment! I had two other appointments earlier in the day, during which I ended up finding my dress and purchasing it from another retailer. I had had every intention of attending my appointment, but I had already fallen in love with a different dress. I called Bella Bianca to tell them I was not going to attend my upcoming appointment because I had already found my dress, and the sales associate was friendly and congratulatory. She did not mention that they would still be charging me the $50 fee for appt no-shows. If I had been aware I would still be charged as a no-show, I would potentially have just attended the appointment, despite having no intention of purchasing a dress. I understand charging people who do not show up to their scheduled appointment, but I would assume calling to cancel for valid reasons (like already having purchased a dress), rather than show up and waste their time, would be something they appreciate, rather than charge potential customers for. I'm sure I would have had a great experience if I had attended my appointment, but I was left with a sour taste in my mouth after this experience! read more

This was by far the best bridal salon we went to in all of our dress shopping. The service is impeccable, the selection is fantastic. They carry some of the best designers in a surprising range of prices. The dress we found was within our original budget and is truly my dream dress. The viewing area is private and comfortable-- they have a pedestal with huge mirrors, and the dressing rooms have giant mirrors as well so you can see the dresses before you show them to the group. I also love the way they help you pick out the dresses you'll try on-- you walk through the store WITH the consultant, so you both get to see their full selection and don't feel overwhelmed by the number of dresses and the organization. And it felt like I went to almost every store in Chicago and the suburbs too. Things started off rocky at my very first appointment at another store, and from there, I never got a good feel for what I wanted. Enter: Bella Bianca Chicago. From the minute I called to make an appointment, I could tell they were different. My consultant, Ashley, was real, down-to-earth, and so incredibly kind. While so many other consultants I'd met in other stores were most interested in the sale, Ashley was genuinely most interested in helping me find a dress. She gave me the inside scoop on how the whole process worked and offered honest feedback when I asked for it. When I questioned how the gown would look lined, she pinned fabric underneath the dress so I could see. When I asked about changing the neckline, Ashley pinned a piece of lace to show how it would look. The week after my appointment, she even checked in with me via text and gave me advice based on her own experiences. I mean, this was NEXT level dedication, and I so appreciated it. My wedding was in November of this year, and I am so happy that I found my dress at Bella Bianca. Both my sister and sister-in-law had found their gowns there in past years, and as soon as I visited the Chicago salon when my sister shopped for her dress, I knew that I wanted to have that boutique experience for myself as well. The salon is everything you could possibly want in your wedding dress shopping experience: not only is it stunningly beautiful inside, but the entire staff is incredibly welcoming and will make even the not-uber-feminine girls (like me) feel super comfortable and ready to try on different things. My bridal stylist was Ashley Golding and she was fantastic. I didn't really know what I wanted all that well, and she somehow still knew how to pick a variety of dresses that would eventually help me land on THE dress. I think I only tried on about 4 dresses before I found the one! Ashley was not pushy in the slightest, and if there was ever a gown that was outside my budget, she made sure that I was aware of it before even looking at it. That was very much appreciated. Ashley was also very good about staying in communication with everything throughout the process. As a planner, I really appreciated this, too. Lastly, Ashley helped me pick my hair pin and earrings that really helped tie the entire look together, and there isn't a single thing that I would change. I did 5 dress appointments, and Bella Bianca has the most beautiful store and best set up I've ever seen. Each fitting room is very private with amazing lighting and tons of space. They carry such a variety of gowns, I truly got to try so many unique pieces and absolutely fell in love with one! When I was in my favorite dress EVERYONE was so beyond excited for me. I got such incredible advice from their manager Madelon, and two stylists Julia and Ashley who both made me feel so so so special. You know that scene in "Pretty Woman" where Julia Roberts was given attitude about how much she could spend in the boutique? Well, we can relate, and all our bride can say is: "Big mistake. Huge." We came in with a budget in mind, definitely on the lower end of their range, and right away, we were treated as such. Even when our bride wanted to try on a dress outside of her range, they refused, claiming that she would be "devastated" if she loved it and couldn't afford it. On top of that being bad salesmanship (if she loved it, maybe she would have paid more, huh?), it was straight up rude. On top of that, many of suggestions or comments from the rest of the bridal party were ignored, and we generally felt out of place and not taken seriously. Bedside manner aside, it just seemed like generally bad service: our stylist barely pinned the dresses and worked so slowly, we saw only 6 dresses in 90 minutes. In the end, our bride was interested in an Atelier Pronovias dress, but honestly was not super excited about the afternoon. Just like "Pretty Woman," though, our bride's tale has a fairytale ending: We went to another boutique, had an INCREDIBLE experience and our bride ended up with a dream Pronovias dress she can't wait to get married in. Finding a wedding dress was actually a stressful process for me. Perhaps tv shows glorified this experience but I did not have that feeling of this is *the one* after 8 stores of shopping. However, right away my experience at Bella Bianca Couture in Chicago felt different. I want to be super clear, Jenna Rillie is quite literally the best thing since sliced bread. She was the bridal stylist assigned to me and her bubbly personality immediately put me at ease. I'd also like to add that she had FULL confidence that she was going to find my dress and something about her being so confident allowed me to believe it was going to happen as well. Well after day one, I found a couple dresses that I liked (which is further than I got in the past) but nothing that I loved. Jenna emailed me after my first visit and told me there was a trunk show the upcoming weekend and she had requested a dress just for me. My consultant Erica, who has since moved on to another company, was the only consultant of the 8 that actually understood what I was looking for. I threw everyone for a loop, but she and I were on the same page from the get-go. I wanted to feel like a rockstar on my wedding, not a bride. I said I was looking for something edgy, sexy and architectural, and I wanted to feel like a woman not a princess. I tried on a dress by Alon Livne and couldn't get it out of my head. I have absolutely LOVED working with Jenna at Bella Bianca. First, the salon itself is gorgeous - very bright, welcoming, and glamorous (*heart eyes*). While it is all open space, I really appreciate that each bride & entourage gets their own "pod" to try on dresses, so it feels like a more private (and COVID-friendly) experience. The rest of my review is for Jenna, who has been a dream to work with. After discussing my vision and specific "want list" for a dress, she has been super helpful pulling things that meet my criteria, while also letting me explore other options I may not have considered before. Jenna is so friendly and personable, and she makes you feel comfortable and excited during a process that can otherwise be stressful - i.e. she is a great hype woman :). She has also been very patient with me as I tried on upwards of 20 dresses (across multiple appointments) and emailed her with questions - she even came to one of my appointments on a day when she was technically off! I found THE dress at Bella Bianca. I have been to several bridal salons in the Chicago area, and none has compared to working with Jenna at Bella Bianca! read more

I found THE dress at Bella Bianca. They were wonderful!! I worked with Jenna as my main consultant and then Lauren and Madelyn briefly. All were fantastic. I needed some major guidance, but was still pretty picky. Jenna brought so many options, was patient, and so helpful. We sorted through many and finally found the one! She stayed late the next day so I could come back with my sister and friend so they could see and celebrate. I can't wait to continue working with them until my wedding. Would highly recommend. This is a top notch bridal salon. I came here for an accessories appt after buying my dress at Aisle Chic, the designer sample sister store. I worked with Olivia trying on belts, earrings, as veils. She was really fun and nice and offered me water a couple times which I really appreciated! The entire place is spotless and the ladies there are very professional. The price range is higher than some boutiques I've visited. I'd put it at $3-15k for a dress. Accessories were all over $200, and one set of earrings I'm in love with was over $400. But the quality is awesome and that's what you get with designer goods. I also recommend their events - I went to a Lazaro fashion show sponsored by this boutique and it was a really well done event. I hope to come back and purchase some (or all!) of the beautiful accessories I tried on. read more

WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! After driving many hours to shop for bridal gowns with my sisters, this was my first stop. We had an absolutely horrific experience! The staff was rude and seemed unhappy with their jobs, which left us feeling uncomfortable. The consultant was not finding what my sister was looking for and would not take what we were saying into consideration. This was a bizarre experience. I had a really great experience at the Chicago location of Bella Bianca. Katie was an amazing associate who listened to me and was really cognizant of my price range and preferences. She made sure both my appointments were special and I felt really comfortable working with her. The space itself is really clean and spacious. Because of COVID, you can't touch any dresses and they don't really want people wandering and looking at the hanging dresses. Even though I would have loved to walk around, I did notice the dresses I tried on were much cleaner and in better condition than other stores I went to. I have to leave a review for Adriana at the Chicago location. She was the most knowledgeable, engaged, and thoughtful consultant I could have asked for. I came with my mom and best friend and loved that she made them feel as included in the process as me. She started by explicitly inviting in honesty and critique - she said "I didn't design any of these dresses so you won't hurt my feelings, tell me what you really think so I can help you find YOUR dress". I thought this was really helpful for setting the tone. After that she listened attentively to everything that we shared and I loved that after each interaction she would come back with a new dress that spoke to a critique or love from the previous ones. At other boutique the stylists had a list of dresses for me to sort of run through but Adriana really made it feel like the experience was being curated for me in the moment. On top of that, she is so knowledgeable and creative that she basically built my dress! She found a beautiful dress that she then paired with the perfect lace top and veil to take it from just a beautiful dress to my dream dress. As someone who wasn't necessarily excited about dress shopping, Adriana really made the experience fun and personal. One of my favorite photos from the day has her standing next to me - in the dress I would go on to buy - with the biggest grin because she knew she had nailed it and I could tell she was just as excited as I was. Finally, I really appreciated how open she was about pricing. I hope Bella Bianca knows was a gem they have with her because she made the entire experience for me. read more

Where do I begin! The entire process from the moment I booked my consultation to finding my dream dress was smoother than I could have hoped for. As soon as I walked into the boutique I felt comfortable and welcomed. I felt extremely safe, as they followed all the Covid health and safety guidelines. I had the pleasure of working with Madelon as my stylist, who was so amazing to work with. She made an effort to get to know me and ask me about myself and my wedding plans and listened closely to my feedback on all the dresses I tried on. I must have tried on at least 10 dresses and she didn't hesitate and kept pulling dresses for me! In the end I revisited a dress I had originally loved, and she pulled the dress and I put it back on. As soon as I put it on we both knew it was the one! We came out to show my MOH and Madelon gave me the opportunity to FaceTime my mother and sister who weren't able to be with me. After a few tears and some champagne to celebrate, I purchased my dream dress! Madelon was so professional and kind, I can't thank her enough for making the experience so exciting for me during these crazy times. read more

AMAZING!!!! I can't even begin to describe my experience at Bella Bianca. This was my first stop of the day and my first time trying on dresses ever. I was feeling nervous before my appointment but once I stepped foot through those doors I felt at ease and ready to start trying on dresses. I came in with one dress in mind but completely open to other styles and fabrics. Cara was my stylist and she did a fantastic job of walking me through the store to see what I liked and then pulling those dresses and others that she thought I would like. She went above and beyond my expectations. She would help make getting into the dresses easy even though I am petite and had a ton of fabric that I could potentially trip on. She was very responsive to our reactions and never once pressured me into buying a dress. At the end of the day I couldn't help but keep thinking of THE dress and actually made an appointment with the owner, Melissa, to try the dress on again and I ended up placing a deposit for my dream dress. My measurements aren't easy and she even offered to talk to the designer herself to see what she's recommend for someone with my measurements and figure. Seriously, who does that!?!?!?! Meaning to write a review about my experience here over the summer. It was hard to get appointments as stores like this have limited hours and when I'm working long days it's hard to get in! Plus, they won't let you make more than one appointment. Otherwise, the store is beautiful and it's in the ritzy part of Chicago. Jessica helped me and she was super nice, patient and diligent in trying to find a gown for me. I didn't get my gown here but it's a really nice place to try on gowns. I didn't get a glass of champagne like I did at other boutiques. I was evaluating a ton of bridal shops before my mother came into town and this is one of the nicer and pricier ones! read more

This store is beautiful but ultimately I felt the experience to be cold and unwelcoming, which is a strange feeling to have at a bridal salon. Of the bridal salons I have been to in Chicago and California, this was definitely on the 'snootier' end. Some of my family could't make it in town to see the dress and they would not let me take pictures. They said this was at the request of the designers..however I tried on some of these same dresses at different salons (specifically Galia Lahav and Lazaro) and could take pictures. It seems to be some strange made up policy that was pretty irritating. They also put a lot of pressure on us to make a same day purchase. I had a later appointment and they gave about 2 hours to make a decision. When youre spending thousands of dollars on something you should never feel pressured to make a decision. That really drove us out of the store. Additionally, I asked if they could recommend any alterations stores on the west coast as I live out there and they could not. They suggested I instead fly back to chicago 3 or 4 times to alter my dress. I don't expect them to know every seamstress in california, but when youre working in this industry with brides from all over the country surely you have some idea of who to recommend. OR, they could have just referred me to the designers flagship store in California to find a tailor (what I did). Ultimately I left empty handed, not appreciating the pressure or lack of help with the seamstress. Later that evening one of the women at the salon did email us to say they would extend a discount (from a trunk show) an additional few days if we could commit to a purchase by the end of the week but by that time our decision was made. Go and look, you may find a dress. But if you're out of state...or looking to take a picture...I would go elsewhere read more

This review is two parts - the first is for the Chicago location, where I purchased my dress, and the second is for the Oakbrook location, where I got my dress altered. I had a great experience purchasing my dress from Bella Bianca. I worked with Ashley, who was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. I had just moved to Chicago, so I came in by myself and she was fun and easy to talk to. I had seen the dress online and loved it in the store. Ashley helped me pick out a belt that was the perfect addition to my dress and I got tons of compliments on the day of my wedding. I did end up spending more than I intended - not only are the dresses here on the more expensive end but the accessories are, too. When deciding where to have my dress altered, I decided to go with Bella Bianca because they would hold onto my dress for me between the purchase and the alteration and I trusted that they would do a good job. They only do alterations in their Oak Brook salon and I live in the city, so I knew I would be making a sacrifice to go all the way out there in the evenings after work for my alterations. I don't know the name of the woman I worked with for my alterations, but unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with her work. I attended three fittings. I only interacted with the seamstress - there was no one else from the salon in the room to help quality check. I have very narrow shoulders and after the second fitting, it was clear that even though the bodice had been altered, the back of the dress was still too big for me. When I expressed this concern to the seamstress, she said I should use fashion tape. With the amount I was paying for alterations, this was definitely concerning to me, but I trusted that she knew what she was doing. On the day of, I used fashion tape but the top of my dress was too heavy to be held up by the tape and I spent a lot of the night adjusting my dress so that it wouldn't fall down. The biggest disappointment for me was the length of my dress. For each fitting, I wore my shoes that I wore on the day of my wedding. She measured the length of the dress in the first fitting and hemmed it, but never asked me to walk in the dress to confirm that the length was correct. This may have been something I should have asked to do, but I'm not the expert - I assumed she knew what she was doing. When I put on my dress on my wedding day, it was DRASTICALLY too long. I have to safety pin it up in the front and even after doing that, I tripped on my dress during my first dance. After speaking with one of the owners, I was refunded for a portion of what I paid for the alteration. I'm very appreciative of this and the owner was very understanding. However, if I could go back in time, I would not have gotten my dress altered by Bella Bianca. read more

I said yes to the dress today!!!! (January 14, 2017) I had the best experience for both my bridal and bridesmaid appointments. This was my first and only stop and it was SO worth it! It went way beyond my expectations and I HIGHLY suggest anyone shopping for a fabulous bridal dress or bridesmaid dress in Chicago should come here! I brought my two best friends and they took us a little early. I WAS TERRIFIED! I read all the previous reviews about girls not being able to put a dress on and see how it looks because they had a "tush." This was DEFINITELY not the case. A little about me, I am not a sample size 2, I am a size 8, around a 27 in jeans and have DD boobs, yes curves. All those posts about not being able to put it over your head and how they don't have anything is ridiculous! We had a 10AM appointment, which was the first one. We were seated in the back and I filled out a questionnaire. Alexi asked about what I was looking for and we were pretty specific. We took a walk around the store and I made some picks. The store is a lot bigger than one would believe, it has multiple rooms and an extra one for bridesmaids. Alexi was AMAZING! I had some samples that would barely go over my tush, but we put some paneling and I could see how the dress fit. I tried on about 8 dresses and narrowed it down to 2! I even put on a 42 runway size for an Israeli designer and it almost closed (stupid boobs!) I would definitely not call myself skinny at all. I felt completely comfortable with her and she knew exactly how to do her job. I was floored and went with this amazing Lazaro fit and flair with a headband and a matching long vail. Accessories are 15% off when you buy your dress there, which is awesome! They even gave me and my girls champagne to celebrate me picking a dress. There was a lot of happy tears and we were able to enjoy this moment! 15 minutes later we had their bridesmaid appointments. I have bridesmaids with curves and wanted to find a style that was flattering for them all. I was not loving the pulls that they did for me so I went to check them out. I was amazed that we found a JERSEY stretch one shoulder floor length gown. It fit my bridesmaid who was a size 2 and a size 16! It stretches and is not hideous! I am having a summer wedding and this dress would be perfect! ALSO they gave 15% off the bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid dresses.
