After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! He couldn't get a new alternator that late in the day, so HE DROVE US TO A HOTEL, and actually picked us up the next day to go back to his shop.
