I couldn't even imagine an insurance agency may be so utterly unprofessional and careless. I should have avoided it. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB and I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the ConsumerProtection of Texas Department of Insurance. I think the guys should have their license revoked. To recap, I was offered a better home insurance quote by your agent Kristy, accepted her quote and was ADVISED by her that my my insurance is ACTIVE and INSTRUCTED TO CANCEL my existing policy with another provider. "Yes, your policy was active and effective yesterday so you can definitely cancel your current policy." Today, I got surprised by a letter from State Farm notifying me that my policy GOT CANCELLED as of July 18, which means that I've had the house UNINSURED for over two weeks by now. Kristy didn't even care to notify me of this cancellation. It's only BY CHANCE that I learned about it reviewing the contents of my mailbox. If my house burns down today (or has burned in the course of the last two weeks) I end up with MILLIONS OF DOLLARS debt having done absolutely nothing wrong and just followed the agent's instructions. Now, what do you think Jeff would do??? NOTHING! He wouldn't even call me not same day and not the day after! Kristy wouldn't do anything either... I would like to point out the following that points to either unprofessional or extremely careless handling unfitting for just any insurance agency: 1. I was literally assured by Kristy that my policy is ACTIVE and that I CAN CANCEL my existing policy. My question on May 23rd: "Just to make sure, could you please again confirm that the policy is now active and I am safe to cancel the existing policy anytime. " Kristy's answer on May 24th: "Yes, your policy was active and effective yesterday so you can definitely cancel your current policy." 2. Kristy didn't even mention the possibility that the policy can be cancelled. So, I very reasonably rested assured that my policy is active as advised by your agent. 3. Kristy didn't even care to notify that the policy has been cancelled. It's only by chance that I learned it by reviewing my mailbox. Which has also resulted in my house being uninsured for over 2 weeks now and myself being exposed to potential millions of dollars losses. Having been surprised by this letter today I have tried to restore my existing policy with my former insurance provided and it has now turned out that I cannot do it. Moreover, they wouldn't even offer me a quote because I've got my policy cancelled by StateFarm. When I addressed Kristy with the request to fix the damage that she had caused she just wouldn't do anything... Yes, I am uninsured and exposed to potential millions of dollars losses because of his agency's faults. So what??? read more

Boy howdy have things changed in my life since my last review back in late 2020. First, I was floodebd out of my apartment back in February, 2021 during Snowpocalypse here in Austin. Luckily, State Farm was very patient with me, as it took me 3 full months to finish my list of items for insurance. Got that taken care of, into my new place, then in late October, 2021, my car got totaled. What REALLY amazed me was how fast State Farm moved in that instance. The wreck was around 7 am on a Friday morning, I was on the phone with State Farm by 7:45 am and knew by the end of that phone call that my car was likely to be totaled. Then, by 5 pm the SAME DAY OF THE WRECK, State Farm had already emailed me letting me know that the money for the totaled car was already on its way to my bank account. I went shopping the next Friday for my new car, and Jeff's office was able to et me full coverage on a brand new 2021 Mitsubishi for just roughly $20 per month more than I was paying for full coverage on my former car, a 2007 Toyota. And the amount of money State Farm gave me was just $2500 less than I paid for the car when I bought it used in 2015! I'm sure glad my car was in good shape despite its age. I think the low mileage on it helped, as well. It was still under 100k. read more

Jeff Coleman has been our State Farm Insurance agent since 1999. He also helps us with financial planning and our IRA accounts as well as our medical savings account and medical insurance. We recently had a flood inside our home, and Jeff's office jumped into action as soon as I called. We had a water extraction crew in our home within the hour, and the State Farm claims department calling us to get the filing process started. My finance and I were planning on moving to CA from TX on 06/15/11. On 06/03/11 our car was involved in an accident (after business hours) which needed to be repaired before making the trip to CA. I contacted Jeff the day of the accident and he was able to walk me through the process on getting the ball rolling. By Monday, we already had the claim filed, an estimate for the repairs, and our car at the auto body place for repairs. On 06/09/11 I received a call stating that the car was fixed and ready to be picked up. I always feared going through this process but Jeff (and his staff) along with State Farm made this the easiest process and I am very thankful that we were able to resolve everything and get our car back within 6 days and still be able to keep on schedule for our move. Jeff is awful. I would recommend that you never deal with this guy. In my opinion, he is is not professional. He was consistently unresponsive despite numerous (and urgent) requests for critical documents. Due to his poor service, I decided to drop my policy with State Farm. Furthermore, he would not refund my money when I switched over to a new agency and essentially had dual coverage for 5 months. His excuse was that he was never informed and my new agency insists they did inform him. If he had any business ethics whatseover he would have refunded my money.
