I love Jefferson Park Dental Studio! Both my hygienist and dentist are incredible. They're easy to talk to and make me feel welcome and comfortable. I used to have severe dental anxiety, and honestly, now I kind of look forward to my twice a year cleanings! They're generally on time with appointments, send good reminders of upcoming appointments, and are flexible with rescheduling. I once even brought my son with me and they let him pick from the treasure box and gave him stickers, which actually helped him attend his own dentist appointment in the future with a lot of ease! I was very clear upfront. I am a senior on Humana- Medicare. If they accepted Humana's payment for 2 cleanings & 1 set of x-rays as full payment ( at no cost to me), I would come to them. I said I knew I would have to pay for any other dental services. At my appointment for a cleaning on Oct.27, 2020, the hygienist told me their front office checked with Humana & I was entitled to 1 full set of x-rays. This was either a lie or a mistake, as I will explain later. After a look at my teeth, the hygienist said I needed a deep cleaning & she would not do a regular cleaning. I felt like she was stringing me along, so I left their office disappointed and upset . Yet on February 28, 2021 I received an invoice from them. They claimed they received $44. from Humana & I owed an additional $169.00; that's a total of $213.00 for x-rays. They were oblivious to my very first conversation with them. My husband had a similar problem with them as well. We found them to be dishonest & overpriced, especially for Portage Park. At no time did they ever explain their charges or indicate that I will need to pay anything out of my pocket for the x-rays. In fact the hygienist led me to believe Humana was covering the x-rays. Had I known upfront all these issues, I never would have gone there. I do not recommend Michele Bogacki, AKA Jefferson Park Dental Studio. Stay clear of them. read more

I was very clear when I made the appointment that I was a senior on Medicare/Humana, and that I was expecting to get a cleaning with no out-of-pocket expense. As I was leaving after the cleaning I said to Ashley or Pauline, "I won't be charged for today's visit right?" She responded in the affirmative (that I won't be charged). Now I am being billed for $240. for the cleaning & gluing in my crown that fell out. I already gave them $90 for the gluing, thinking that was all I would owe but now, months later, they tell me that that the crown glueing was $306, which took 5 minutes. I called and offered them $180 in lieu of the 240 they are billing me for, but they rejected my offer. They are terrible communicators about the cost that they plan to charge and are also very expensive. Also, while most dentists will call the insurance company to check on coverage for the patient, they claim they have no responsibility here. Everything gets thrown back in the lap of the senior. There are dentists just about on every corner and I do not need the hassle & anxiety that Michele Bogacki's office brings to the table. Seniors, beware. read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience has been with Dr. Bogacki and her amazing staff. I went to her because I needed the work of another dentist repaired. My experience with the team at Jefferson Dental Studio and my former dental office is night and day. The loveliest, truly genuine, and warm welcoming front office staff walked me through the costs in a clear and concise way. None of the nonsense so may experience elsewhere. No hidden fees etc. Getting into the chair was something I was fearing initially because my tooth had been worked on three times before and my nerve was angry. Dr. Bogacki has a tender hand and the procedure was fast, efficient and practically pain free. Happy mouth today and I feel that this filling is finally repaired after months of pain. Dr. Bogacki is great, but she wouldn't be without her team of hygienists and front desk ladies. I went in for a cleaning with a new hygienist I have not had before, Krystal, and was very impressed with the care I got. I was made very comfortable and was even asked what temperature water I would like. She also made sure I knew that if I was in any pain I could raise my hand and she would stop. I have been going to Dr. Bogacki for probably 10 years now. Before her it was a string of dentists I never really had any desire to go back to. You can tell Dr. Bogacki enjoys her work. She is very friendly, great personality, and does great work. This is definitely a family friendly office. There's almost always kids there, and they don't seem scared to be at the dentists office. Her dental assistants and receptionist are also friendly and professional. Even after I moved to a different neighborhood, I continue to go to her office for all my dental needs. I thought i found a great dentist, then I realized all she was after was the money. I had a cracked molar. Instead of doing the right thing and giving me a crown, she gave me a giant filling, which did nothing but give me huge issues. And she told me my root structure was great, when in reality I needed a root canal on the tooth she had just worked on. All she was after was quick money. Since I have seen her, I have had to go back to the dentist for a root canal and crowns. It took my new dentist 3 seconds to look at my x-rays and see I needed the root canal, when she told me my roots were great. My root did not turn bad in the two months since she had looked at the x-rays.... I would not recommend this dentist for anything other than cleanings. In my opinion she wants the quickest and easiest money she can get and then move on to the next patient. read more

We just started going to them in January but after 2 cleanings and 4 fillings (for me), we are certain that this is our Dentist. Worth the trip! I've been going to Dr. Bogacki since she took over the office almost 20 years ago. I have three children ages 12, 14, and 18 all who have been going here since their first appointment. I live in Park Ridge where there are a number of dentists but I still drive in to see Dr. Bogacki. I have recommended her to other families as well. It's so nice to have an office that works well with children as well as adults or any age. From that first reminder phone call from MaryJoy that you have an appointment to leaving the office visit you feel welcome and at home. It is very evident that everyone cares about you and is looking out for your best interest. It is very difficult to find good doctors and ones you can trust and that is why I still drive my family here because it is worth the drive knowing I can trust my dentist.
