Love Dr. Comet. I have beautiful teeth and the back teeth are just as important as the back. Thanks for fixing my issue.

Can imaging determine if a vertical front tooth fracture extends to the root? If it does extend, are there treatment options other than extraction?

Doctor Alan Commet saved my tooth and an existing crown when he performed my recent root canal.

I'd like to give Dr Sims a billion stars just for telling me I don't need a root canal, which I thought may be necessary to get rid of my frequent headaches. However, he deserves a zillion stars for the time he spent with me trying to figure out the cause of my headaches. After taking a look at my teeth and quizzing me about what's going on in my life right now Dr Sims mentioned that I may just be grinding my teeth in my sleep. He told me what kind of disposable nightguards to buy on amazon and even took the time to tell me which packet on amazon is the most affordable. His office also followed up 2 weeks later, just as they had promised, to see if the nightguards were helping at all. For those concerned (thanks)...they are! While Dr Sims was my favorite of the few people I met in his office, his assistant gets kudos for being patient while trying to xray what may be the smallest human mouth ever (or so I"ve been told by my dentist's office). Parking in this area can be a pain, but the building does have a valet parking option. I hope I don't ever need a root canal, but if it happened at least I'd feel comfortable going back to Dr Sims! Just make sure you're calling the correct Dr Sims since there's another dentist by the same name on Clark street. .

I've never left here in pain after a root canal, not even had to take medication after which is probably partly my own pain threshold but also I think speaks to his skill. He's got a great bedside manner, is very communicative, and his staff is great too. I'd absolutely recommend his practice.

I…read morehave a lot of anxiety surrounding dentists/dental procedures (who doesn't), but the team at Vertex will put you at ease to the best of their ability. They are very understanding and caring and I would recommend them to anyone. I was referred to them from Dr. Desai at Polished Dental, who I also trust, and she said that she's had a root canal done at this location and recommends all of her patients here. The office is clean and they have TVs on in the rooms which really helps if you're feeling nervous. It's really nice to have something else to focus on. They will also go over your insurance and payment terms prior to your procedure for transparency. Additionally, they will explain everything to you before starting (if you want). Throughout my root canal I was asked repeatedly if I was doing okay and I thought that was really nice. The doctor also didn't go overboard with anything, which I really appreciated. I really felt like I could trust them. Honestly, it's really obvious that they are well aware of the fact that no one wants to come here and are proactive about ensuring that you have the least horrible experience possible. That's the best way I can put it and it was very appreciated!! Sincere thanks to the doctor + all the staff.

New business…read more I was inquiring about a root canal on a molar. Endodontist sold me I needed a panaramtic image to determine what his decision would be.‍ I recently had a pandemic image in 2021 that was pushed on me by a temporary hygenous, Wham-Bang, Thank you, Ma'am. I couldn't afford his price, close to $2,000. The word has been out for sometime, there are many big earners living in Wriggleyville near Southport. I went to see my old friend Dr. Kam Patel, an Oral Surgeon, to pull the molar. After he struggled to get it out of my mouth, Dr. Patal said, "The molar has erupted". A root canal was not the solution to an erupted tooth‼ My MEDICARE ADVANTAGE WITH UNITED HEALTH CARE PPO WITH DENTAL, COVERED THE TOOTH'S RXTRACTION. DR. PATEL SOLVED the dental DILEMMA. THE VERTEX Endodontist, and my general dentist, never considered how prevalent older folks have molars that erupt‼⁉
