Security out front. The environment feels like a sports bar inside with garage doors they can open to the outside patio to let in fresh air. Definitely recommend the cheese sticks! They're wonderfully crispy with a wonton wrapper exterior filled with a lot of pepperjack cheese and topped with a queso fresco crumble. They're so good you won't have time for pictures! Honestly didn't love most of what we had here. The best thing was the Cincinnati chili burger but even that for me was meh - my husband liked it more than I did. Tex mex egg rolls were decent, trio dip was good but the queso was by far the best thing. The churro donuts were totally raw inside and tasted like oil and the chocolate sauce tasted like gasoline. We had the blackened shrimp and chorizo tacos and both were just not great. The shrimp was way too spicy and the slaw on both had an offputting flavor. BBQ sauce overwhelmed the flavor. The atmosphere is upbeat, with great music on the radio, it seems like a high-energy place. The food was really good. The place has a variety of tacos, sides, and appetizers. WORST SERVICE OF MY LIFE!!! Me and my girlfriend came up to cincy for the weekend to see the city and catch a game. We we got her we saw the seat yourself sign and foukd snd empty table. Ended up waiting for Close to and hour with no service and had 3 employees walking past us at a minimum of 4 times to serve others, provide checks, take orders ect. So I was debating between wandering away from my hotel, using door dash or just hitting up one of the many local establishments close to where I was staying. I decided to walk to Jefferson Social. This was the wrong decision. I was hungry for wings and the Yelp photos from JS looked good so I figured it was worth a shot. As soon as the plate was set in front of me, I realized I made a mistake. First it was the smell, something smelled off. It was as if the fryer oil was old and stale, perhaps not changed in years. As I bit into my first wing, My disappointment intensified, the Jameson Honey sauce was flavorless...thank goodness there was hot sauce near by. As I ate the second wing, I noticed another issue. Never have I had a plate of wings come with a huge watery puddle on the plate. It was off putting. On the bright side, the wings were substantial in size and nice and crispy. I also ordered a side of red beans and rice, not pictured. This dish was odd. I was expecting a simple side...whole beans, rice, maybe some green onion garnish. Was visiting the Reds Hall of Fame at Great American Ballpark. Was walking around and found this place, and it happened to be taco Tuesday. Nice spacious dining area. So I thought I would try some chips and salsa and a couple of tacos and a beer. Really glad I did. I had a carnitas taco the pineapple salsa was great the pork was tender just a great taco. Stopped in for pickup during Cincy wing week. The online ordering process was super easy- I was able to get my order in hours in advance and schedule my pickup time which is a nice convenience. Pickup process was very easy- head right to the bar and my order was ready to go! I gave this one 5 stars because the traditional wings with the Inferno dry rub really exceeded my expectations. They were well done, good size and had a great seasoning with the right balance of flavor and heat. Honestly, I was not expecting as much out of this place that I frequently associate with giant drinking crowds after baseball or football games (man, I hope that is a thing again soon. I miss it!) The Cincinnati chili wings were an amusing novelty. The seasoning was a bit strong on the cinnamon flavor for my liking, but they did a good job of getting the essence of the Cincinnati chili flavor onto a wing. We are from out of town and were looking for a place with outdoor seating to grab dinner and drinks after checking into our hotel. We were told to walk toward the river and we would find a few different options. We opted to try Jefferson Social, as there was patio seating and no line. It was seat yourself, so we were able to find a table outside and grab a chair from a neighboring table that wasn't using it to seat our party of four. For those sitting outside, you had to order from the window out front. We went in groups of two so that we could keep our table. All of the employees were wearing masks. We ordered pitchers of margaritas that came out right away. They seemed a little pricey for their size, but I would say that is pretty standard when ordering drinks. The rest of the menu was very fairly priced. We ordered chips and salsa and the nachos with ground beef. The chips and salsa came out right after ordering at the window and it was a very large portion size. The nachos took maybe two minutes to come out after ordering, which was super nice. All of our food was delicious and exactly what we were looking for. Overall, the service was fast and friendly and outdoor seating was definitely a benefit. A conveniently located bar with food. Jefferson Social checks a lot of boxes, as it is located at the Banks, they've got food, and on a nice day you can definitely enjoy some patio dining. They have large windows that open up to a sidewalk patio in the summer months. I've also enjoyed taking in some Trivia here from time to time. Went out for a taco tuesday - the place has great specials on tuesday's! they have specials on a lot of their tacos - 2.00 to 3.50 dollars each which is a steal! I got the blackened shrimp, fish and taconey. Ordered the queso as a appetizer. I'm sure preCOVID they served in an iron skillet so it stayed warm. They brought it out in a plastic container - was yummy but got cold and hard quicker than if it would've been in a iron skillet. The tacos were great - super filling to be honest! The blackened shrimp was spicy cause of the mango habernRo sauce, has a nice kick to it! Service was great too, the seating is nicely spread apart and food comes out fast! This was at one point our go to spot for drinks before/after reds games but after a recent experience I have a hard time wanting to go back. We went on a Saturday about a month ago and snagged the last table outside since we were wanting to order some food. Someone came by as we started to sit and said they'd come back to clear the table. 10 minutes goes by and no one comes to clear the table or take our order. So I walk inside to the bar to order drinks and grab a menu. Took probably another 10 minutes of waiting at the bar to get acknowledged and get drinks. Once outside again I wait another 10 minutes or so and try to flag down a waitress at the table behind us. She acts flustered and says "someone will be right with you" after we'd already been sitting there for 20-30 minutes. Another 10 minutes goes by before I can even make eye contact with the other waitress in the small outside area. She catches my eye and looks away quickly to act like she didn't see me. About 5 minutes later she goes to take the other table next to ours get their check but completely ignores ours. At this point every table but ours is getting waited on, even people that came in after us, and we've been sitting there for about 40 minutes. We were never rude or anything that would turn them off. The security guards were actually the ones that ended up clearing off the table because the waitresses were basically useless. Food is good but good luck getting it because these people clearly don't care about customer service at all. As stated before, even the bartenders are typically slower unless you get lucky. We ended up leaving and going down the street to holy grail. Once at holy grail (which was about 3x as busy) we walked straight up to the bar, immediately had our drink order taken, and even had another bartender ask us if we'd been helped yet while waiting for our drinks to be made. If you want good service, go there! They know what they are doing and won't treat you like a burden. They also had a slice of pizza out for me in about 5 minutes. It was a completely different experience and just showed me how bad the service was at Jefferson social. read more

Food: we ordered Tacos (Steak, chorizo, fish). A burger, and a burrito bowl, along with a few beers and a sangria. Tacos were decent (although they gave me a wrong order and had to remake them) Burger was hearty but nothing to write home about. Burrito bowl with steak was good and a large portion. The beer selection is good and the bartenders are fast so that made up for the wrong taco order in my opinion. This was a decent spot to grab lunch before a recent Reds game. Most other restaurants were packed and magically, Jefferson Social had an open two top - score! The windows and doors were wide open on a beautiful, breezy, hot June day (so the AC felt nonexistent). It took awhile to flag down a waitress for menus and to hail her once again for our check. The food was decent. The burger was good - nothing to write home about and a little greasy. Not to mention the place was packed the whole time with people coming in and out.
