The chicken wings are very good. We got spicy , hot yaki and spicy garlic parm. Service is good. We were there on a Sunday and they aren't able to get any football. The service and the food is always top notch. Staff is very friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that it's is over 90 degrees outside and it's so hot inside the restaurant it makes you want to hurry up and eat so you can get out. I found this place on Yelp today, while traveling through Fort Payne on business with some friends. We weren't sure WHERE to eat, but we all knew that we wanted something " Local," and not your usual fast food, or boring chain restaurant. I was hesitant at first, after reading some of the Yelp reviews, although I quickly realized that most of the reviews were really old Reviews! We are all from nearby Huntsville, so we weren't sure what to expect in a town that is quite a bit smaller like Fort Payne... What we encountered was an extremely clean restaurant, with a GREAT STAFF, a really extensive menu, great prices, and incredible food! Two of us had the Wings, and 1 person had a burger. We all agreed that the food was outstanding, and none of us left ANYTHING ON OUR PLATES! We all travel this way fairly often, so this will DEFINITELY be on our list of places to stop at in the future. It's easy to find... It's right off the Interstate, right by Taco Bell... Has a great "Pub" feel to it... Also has plenty of TV's, if you're into watching Sports (or the News, or whatever,) while you eat... Not LOUD TV's.. just a nice Vibe that added some ambience! Family of 4 seeking after-lunch time options from out of town for a Saturday soccer game. I read the Yelp reviews and braced myself. Kids wanted wings and this place exceeded expectations so was compelled to leave a 5-star review. Appetizers were good-ordered mozzarella sticks and fried picked jalapeños. Both were fresh, hot and crunchy-fried jalapeños were not soggy at all and the mozzarella sticks were melty and not dry at all. Kids shared an order of medium flavored traditional wings and they were NOT dry at per previous reviews (they could've been a tad more crunchy) but were juicy and cooked through. Husband ordered Buffalo tenders and he said it was good. I had the Jefferson's burger with bbq sauce on the side and it was better than mediocre. Curly fries were seasoned well. Tony and I spent the entire morning driving around seeing the magnificent waterfalls and scenic views and overlooks...and working up a major appetite. It was almost 1pm, which means "Church is out and restaurants full".. We drove around the older historic area looking for a mom and pop style home cooking diner...but nothing.. There was a pizza buffet place, but I am not a buffet type of girl...so we drove to the newer section of time closer to the interstate. Of course there was your typical fast food chains...but not on adventure day!!! So, I found JEFFERSON's The building on the outside looks like a remodeled Pizza Hut building but inside it is much bigger than the outside appearance..One of the waitresses greeted us immediately and said "Hi just grab a seat anywhere"...but she meant "Anywhere you can"...there was full tables of guest enjoying their meals and several tables full of dirty dishes and debris. I was able to spot a booth near the window. The table still needed a cloth taken to it but at least no remaining crockery. When the waitress came over, she was young and out of breath..she asked for our drink orders and handed our menus. Tony asked " Do you have Budweiser?" She turned to him quickly saying "You are not from here are you?" We both shook our heads at the same time and said NO NASHVILLE...she said "Then what the HELL are you doing here?" we all laughed and I said We have been enjoying the day and the waterfalls..She asked "What waterfalls?" I told her, well you have about 6 of them on that mountain back there...she turned to look at the window..."REALLY?"...I thought is she being Facetious? She looked to be in her early 20's...not a kid..I just smiled and nodded.. Tony said, what about the Budweiser? She smiled, Not on Sunday honey..The LORD doesn't like that !!!..So he ordered Sweet Iced Tea and I ordered Unsweetened Tea.. We looked over the menu...I ordered 10 wings with 5 of the Southern Heat and 5 original Hot with bleu cheese for dipping and celery. Tony ordered the Grilled Shrimp Po Boy with mac n' cheese. The place was filling up fast. Large groups were coming in with lots of children. When the waitress returned about 30 minutes later with drink refills. I asked her "Whats up with all the groups of kids?" She said, Well the rest of the week we are a bar style restaurant and on Sundays we invite the families in and give the kids all free meals..so literally two adults could arrive with 8 kids and all the kids eat free..heck you can't beat that..!!! As long as they are 14 and under..pretty good deal especially if you have a bunch of kids. Well after about 45 minutes later, with no chips/salsa or basket of rolls to tide us over, she finally brings our food. Tony's Po Boy looked more like a Shrimp Philly Cheese steak sandwiches with large slices of grilled onions and green peppers with a cajun sauce. We split the sandwich and it was really good. The wings were very dry..over cooked or like they had been sitting under a warming light for 45 minutes...lol !!! We asked for some additional hot sauce to wet them up a little bit, she said SURE...but she must have forgotten..she was busy with a table of 15, and at least 11 of them were kids...lol !!! The reason the tables so messy earlier..the waitresses are also the bus boys.. Check with taxes was $21..I left her a $5 tip..she was doing the best she could.. I don't think I would eat here again, but it was not the waitresses fault..she was working like an Octopus...one small lady with 8 arms...she was everywhere, Now I know why she was out of breath when we first met her.. read more

Let me set the scene. It was a Thursday night. There were 4 visible employees & about 15 customers, including myself. I asked for a pitcher of beer & a MENU at approximately 7:50 PM. After I receive both, I waited patiently. The people at a table behind me had their orders taken. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting, the gentlemen who had just walked up to the bar have their order taken & fulfilled. So I ordered from Applebee's while I finished my beer. Only when my beer was empty, did I receive any sort of service. It seemed as though the employees were more concerned with gossiping rather than doing their job. I've had bad service before & still tipped because it felt like the people were just overwhelmed. This time though, it was pure negligence. So for the first time in my life, they actually made me want to leave no tip. So that's exactly what I did. When I worked in Fort Payne my coworkers always wanted to eat here for "Wing Wednesday" discounted wings. This was five years ago so we decided to meet up for old times sakes. Haven't been to this location in several years. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered some fried pickles (they've always had the best pickles in our area) and was kinda disappointed. The pickles were waded up and barely had any breading on them. Still tasted good though. I ordered ten Cajun bone in wing for my meal. The wings made up for the pickles. They were juicy and hot temp wise. Can't stand cold wings. Our server recommended the peanut butter pie, it was very rich but made up for all the salt in the pickles and wings lol. Jefferson's has my favorite wing presently. I'm always in for Jeffersons. The location is convenient to where I'm working this week. This location was clean. The service was prompt and friendly. The wing prices continue to rise and a 10 Wings with chips and a single ranch is 12.00. An additional ranch was .50. I ordered 10 double dipped with turbo sauce on the side for dipping with chips. You can get fries and I don't think there is a charge, but there may be a nominal fee. They were served fresh, hot and most importantly crispy! The turbo had good flavor. I generally go hot but decided to try the turbo today and I'm glad I did. It was not excessively hot. Mild kick, nothing major. Getting the sauce on the side vs having them re-tossed in your sauce choice of sauce ensures the wings remain crispy. Plus it turbo ended up being gross my wings weren't covered in it. The service here is far superior to the location off Valleydale road. They offer daily lunch specials throughout the week. Wednesday is .75 cent wing day. Not the cheapest game in town for wings. The wings are good sized and the sauces are good. The prices are in the same ballpark with most sports bars. The quality and flavor are better than BWW and Baumhauer's in my opinion. This is one of the better operating franchised locations I've visited. My favorite is still the original in Jacksonville. I wish the Valleydale location was as good as this one bc you cant beat the original. read more

My wife and I ordered the Caribbean boneless chicken wings and they were not wings at all it was just chunks of white meat they try to pass as chicken wings there was too much batter on them and they were way too greasy. Last time we went the service was horrible the food was nasty and it was just an overall horrible experience. My family just had a horrible dining experience at Jefferson's. Two people in our family ordered the Fish and Chips. When the meals were brought to the table the fish was still frozen. COMPLETELY INEDIBLE. The waitress took the food back to the kitchen to have the meals remade. The second time the fish was brought to the table it was STILL FROZEN. My family gave up and ordered a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich instead. When we received our bill we were charged for their meals as well as upcharged for a side of ranch dressing and bacon. After speaking with the manager about comping any part of our bill we were told NO because they had eaten their meals. I considered the manager on duty to be completely incompetent and without any clue as to what customer service means. We will never return. read more

The bar manager Jordan Bradley was very rude and unprofessional. I was trying to place a drink order with my server, and she got very hateful with her. I believe Jordan thought she was just chit chatting, because she told her to stop what she was doing and to go sweep the floor. Regardless, this was not a pleasant experience for me and my guests. I don't care if Jordan is a bar manager, get off your power trip and let your servers do your job. Would rate 5 stars based on popularity in this small town, but Jordan really ticked me off with how she treated her subordinates. I feel like Jefferson's has actually gotten better since they reopened. My husband never wanted to go before, but now he has started wanting to go more regularly. I always end up getting the Buffalo chicken wrap (grilled with mild sauce) and sweet potato fries. The wrap truly is great--it's a perfect amount of heat for someone like me who can't handle hot foods. Dip it in ranch and it's awesome The sweet potato fries are an upcharge, but they are so tasty that I don't mind doing it! My husband usually gets bone-in wings, most recently in the "double-dipped" flavor option. They are good-sized wings and are served with chips (substitutions are extra). The restaurant is typically seat-yourself, and there are plenty of tables to find your perfect angle to watch one of the tvs! The waitresses there are nice--all are younger girls wearing short-shorts though lol. Good place to go for lunch or dinner--great for watching a game. It does get loud, so keep that in mind! Was Vacationing in Mentone Alabama just above Fort Payne, We were in Fort Payne looking for a place to eat. When we drove up we thought yes this could be good. Little did I know It wasn't good at all. And we had not eaten anything since 7am due to a big breakfast and driving all morning to get to our Cabin in Mentone and setting everything up in the cabin, etc. So we were pretty hungry at this point when we arrived for Dinner at Jefferson's in Fort Payne, Alabama. We both ordered burgers and I ordered a drink "Sprite" and we both specifically told our Waitress that we wanted our burgers "Well done no pink please". First thing that went wrong was my "Sprite" drink tasted like pool water/chlorine and I kid you not so I flagged a waitress down and gave it to her and asked her to bring me a sweet tea, This waitress that wasn't our waitress just one I flagged down just looked at me with a dumb look and didn't know what to say and I handed her my glass and I said I'll take a tea on second thought and she walked away. Second thing that went wrong was my burger came out pink so I flagged the waitress down and showed her, "The waitress replies with this conversation (now keep in mind I am very thirsty and hungry at this point and were not from this town), she started bashing whoever the cooks are back in the kitchen saying "Well our cooks can't never get these burgers right cause this happened to another customer and they sent it back twice and the cooks still couldn't get the burger cooked right. (You never bash your team members you just help make it right) and it seemed like forever before I got another burger out. They finally right before we were ready to leave brought me a new burger and fries order. And it seemed like whatever waitress you flag down they were shocked to be asked or told something. The third thing that went wrong was the fries was way too seasoned you could literally see coated piles of seasoning on the fry but beings it took them so long to get me a new burger that's actually cooked that's all I had to eat. And the Fourth thing my chair was sitting under an a/c vent dripping water condensation on me. This was all around a bad experience for us and we don't know when we will ever be back to get another chance to try them again for a better experience. They could have at least made my bill some what cheaper to show they cared but they didn't. They didn't offer up nothing to try and smooth the situation. If your new in town just be careful of this place, not a restaurant for new people in town in my opinion. And The health department in my opinion would have a nice time in this place. Whoever is managing this place, they need to do better. Train your Staff better! Train your Wait Staff how to handle bad situations to help make them right for a better experience maybe next time!!. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! I had a good first experience, so I made a point to go back; and it was a horrible decision. My dad and I ordered the fish and chips. We waiting 20 minutes to get our food. Dad took a bite of the fish, and it was still frozen. All of our fish was cold or frozen and inedible. They took it back to the kitchen, and we waited another 15 minutes. When they brought it out again, it was still frozen! We decided to order a grilled cheese and bacon cheeseburger since clearly the fish was not happening. We were charged for everything, including extra for bacon and a side of ranch. We asked to have something comped since we were served cold food TWICE and had to wait an hour to get an edible meal. However, the manager on duty said, "The food was ate, so we have to charge for it. I can't comp it." As a manager on duty, yes, you can comp anything you feel necessary. The manager was rude and kept making excuses; "You have to pay for the food you ate cause we didn't mess that up. We only comp what we mess up. That's policy." My name is Brian. I just ate awfully dry food at Jeffersons. My food was the brisket it was as dry as the beef jerked inmate off the floor of my truck that sat there for over two weeks. I would definitely not record wasting your money on the brisket. Now on to those curly potato things. They were quite flavorless. The Mac cheese now that was cheesy. The kids grilled cheese now that was a tad over cooked. The applesauce that was good. The Jefferson grilled chicken thingy that would have been much better if I would have ordered with cheddar cheese instead of the American that it came with.
