i have had two knee replacements. I was not happy with the first surgeon so I spent some time searching for an orthopedic surgeon that had positive the reviews. I found Dr. Kantor and he perform my second knee replacement. The experience was like night and day. Dr. Kantor was warm, funny and most important, extremely knowledgeable and experienced . my first my replacement was outpatient surgery, and I returned home 6 hours after the procedure, my follow up appointment was 3 weeks later. Dr. Kantor had me stay in the hospital overnight and return to his office three days later for a follow up. during the office visits he was always patient, encouraged questions and i never felt rushed. Dr Kantor really cares about his patients, he is extremely conservative, cautious, and goes above and beyond to ensure that you receive the best care possible. My surgery was successful, i no longer have daily pain and no longer walk with a limp. i felt so well taken care of and feel so lucky that i found him. i would highly recommend dr. My personal experience with Dr. Kantor and his office staff has been extremely positive! I contacted their office because I injured myself skiing in March and although had tried PT and a chiropractor and another pain management doctor (after a recommendation from another orthopedic doctor) was still not pain free. I was feeling defeated and frustrated; I'm scheduled to run the NYC marathon on November 3rd and the injury to my piriformis, bursa, and hamstring was impacting my training. The front office office staff was very compassionate about my urgency to get in quickly and accommodated me with an appointment 3 days later. Dr. Kantor was attentive to my story, kind and knowledgeable. He listened to, and responded to my need for relief to resume my training. Following his complete and thorough physical evaluation and x-rays he administered 2 injections which provided some relief almost immediately. The office staff accommodated my difficult schedule for the follow-up visit. Dr. Kantor also referred me for more physical therapy. Yesterday morning, my wife sustained an aggravated injury to the left knee and was experiencing an incredible amount of pain. This morning, the pain was at an unbearable level and a decision was made to contact the office of Orthopedic Surgeon Jeffrey A. Kantor, MD and he was able to see us within the hour of calling for a potential appointment. The Caring administrative staff Mia and Mirabel were incredible and as we were waiting in the lobby we were fortunate enough to speak to a patient that has been treated for shoulder and knee issues since 2016 with extraordinary positive feedback. Minutes after being taken to a treating room, MD Kantor entered and greeted us in a professional manner and shortly thereafter identified the inflamed tendon and after the x-ray confirmed that both of her knees were bone on bone. MD Kantor's bedside manner is awesome and supported knowledge is exemplified by his 30 years of experience. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Kantor for years. My knees have gotten worse and I went to him for relief other than surgery. He recommended gel injections. Anthem Blue Cross approved the process and Dr.Kantor injected both my knees with the gel injections. I felt absolutely nothing while Dr.Kantor was doing the injections which was a break to begin with. After the five injections, one in each knee, it feels great not to have the pain. They fit us in and I am so thankful. We had X-rays, and a cast made. The care and attention was so appreciated. We have a few follow ups as my daughter will be in a cast for about 4 weeks. I am so happy to find Dr. Kantor! After dealing with several orthopedic issues and having knee, foot and hand surgeries outside of Santa Clarita, it's great to find a quality surgeon who is local. I was experiencing some severe pain in my arm and shoulder for many weeks. After some unsuccessful attempts to control the pain with topical medication and Aleve, I made an appointment with Dr. Kantor. The receptionist was very kind and accommodating and I was able to make an appointment the following week. I completed the necessary new patient information and was seen within a short time after my arrival. Dr. Kantor's staff, including Nathan and Daisy, were efficient and thorough in assisting Dr. Kantor. After reviewing my medical history and the results of the xrays which were taken in the office, Dr. Kantor indicated that I had bursitis in my shoulder. He discussed the course of treatment, gave me a cortisone shot and some pain medication, and I left feeling very positive about the entire visit. It's starts with the receptionists or whoever is at the front desk, they are always very friendly and seem very passionate about helping people. When I first met Dr. Kantor I immediately felt like I was in good hands. I had surgery on my rotator cuff before I moved here from Hawai'i. I had to see Dr Kantor to continue treatment. He did not waste any time, he got my X-ray and found I had a bone spur on my AC joint. He felt very compassionate and told me that I might need another procedure to correct it. I can't give Dr. Kantor and his amazing staff enough accolades for their compassion and professionalism. I fell and hurt my ankle Friday night and went to urgent care Saturday morning where they x-rayed it and confirmed it was broken. They put a splint on it and told me I needed to see an orthopedic doctor. After in enduring a weekend of painful uncertainty my husband and I spent Monday morning trying to find a doctor that could help me with my broken ankle. He called many offices but until he called Dr. Kantor's office, no one could help. Manny started asking relevant questions and getting pertinant information right away. He found out where I was seen on Saturday and promised to get my report and show it to Dr. Kantor as soon as he got out of surgery. By the time we got off the phone I was Dr. Kantor's first afternoon appointment! How thankful I am we made that call. From call to visit we were both treated with respect and concern. Dr. Kantor evaluated the situation and set things straight (a little humor)! I can, without a doubt, state that his is the best orthopedic facility in the antelope Valley. In my original review, I had one appointment at the Lancaster Office in December 2017. The staff was professional and kind. I had problems getting approval from our insurance provider and originally thought it was Kantor orthopedics not submitting the request. I found out it was our insurance provider holding things up. The staff was very patient with my frustration and was able to get approval to move forward. I have been for a second visit and they were just as kind and professional as before. My son broke his wrist skateboarding. I took him to urgent care and they sent me to the er. Turned out the er does not do cast and said I would need to see orthopedic doctor right away before the bone sets, this was on a Sunday. I called doctor kantor's office first thing Monday morning and he was able to see me at 11. I walked in filled out my paper worked and was then taken straight back to a room. No waiting. Dr. Kantor came in right after his vitals were taken, again no waiting. He was very nice. He talked to my so. (16yrs old) showed my son his xrays and explained everything to my son. He even joked with my son and made him laugh. I felt confident in dr. Kantor knowledge and abilities and I liked his interaction with my son and how he made him feel included in his treatment. I got my knee blown out by a very large dog over a year ago. After going to our family dr. Multiple times for the issue, I finally got an MRI where the radiologist diagnosed a clinically insufficient ACL. Radiologist said that seeing a surgeon would be a good idea, because with this condition you are way more likely to completely tear you ACL or damage you meniscus badly. So we went to see Dr. Kantor (after being referred). He took x-rays, looked at the MRI, manipulated my knee a bit, and declared that I was fine (even though after 10 minutes of non-strenuous activity I was in bad pain). He prescribed physical therapy (which I had gone through before I got my MRI done and it did nothing), and gave me a knee brace. Now that knee brace was for patellar support, and that is not an issue I have nor does it address the issue I came in for. Not to mention that the brace cause me even more pain so I couldn't wear it. I went through eight weeks of physical therapy. Twice a week, plus home exercises. And just like that last treatment of physical therapy, it helped nothing. Still have pain and instability. It gives out and locks up all the time. But I mean a professional said that I was fine so it probably doesn't mean I'm injured. read more

Bad office experience, and I think this is a direct reflection on the doctor. First appointment went well, Doctor seemed to be on the ball, easy to work with, provided reference for area he did not cover which so far is also turnout out well. Ordered MRI, dropped off MRI results, 5 days later I have to call and ask and get "the results" are not in and we will call you when they are, should be any day, 3 days later I call, "oh yes they are in and we can schedule follow up"...hmm thought you were going to call me. Schedule appointment, no problem, I show up for appointment, guess what they are closed.... well why did you make me an appointment, then they offer my 30 minute window to come in the next day, right, like you don't think we work... seemed totally unconcerned, which make me go, hmm well perhaps I cannot trust you then with my body. Guess I will try again. Why does this seem to be the way with Doctors these days, is this all insurances fault? read more
