When I spoke to the manager, Jason, he tried to tell me that I had missed an appointment that I had scheduled on February 27, 2025, for February 10, 2025. I had to say to Jason the manager that does not make sense. I explained to him that I scheduled the appointment for March 10, 2025, and the receptionist had to input the incorrect date of February 10, 2025. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they shifted the blame onto me. The attitude I received was completely unprofessional, and I will not ever visit Apex Endodontics, LLC again. I am highly dissatisfied with Apex Endodontics, LLC and how the situation was handled.

When I refused to have the root canal the doctor seemed a bit put off and asked if I wanted to save the tooth or not??? Of course, but only IF it's salvageable which in this case it was NOT. I was not there to have unnecessary dental work!!! The entire visit took less than 15 minutes and guess how much they charged me...did I mention I brought my own x-ray??? $350.00 for him to look in my mouth and say we can do a root canal BUT you might need to have it extracted!!!!! The tooth was cracked below the gumline. Wouldn't recommend the place.

I was highly recommended by a friend when I moved into the area and was looking for a dentist. I started with a cleaning where I found the amount was high but I agreed to the work. After going home, one of my teeth was loose. I made a new appointment shortly after and was told that the looseness of the tooth had nothing to do with their prodding. I was then told that they would try to save the tooth but it might need an implant. I agreed to the crown. The cost was $2500. Within a few days after the crown was inserted, it was loose again. I was now told that I would need an implant and they would apply the $2500 to the implant. I thought that was fair but I needed to see their "concierge" independent implant specialist. He came up with an outrageous price of $9300 for one implant. Now they were telling me that the $2500 would not be used for his work, only future work. So obviously, I was not going to continue with this practice. I feel like I through over $3100 in the garbage. It feels like I went to a used car salesman not a dentist. Do not be fooled, it's strictly about the money here. The dentists will not quote prices. Be wise and avoid them

They proceded with the first half of the root canal. Then, they basically said I shouldn't have it finished because it'll probably need to be taken out anyway... so, just find an oral surgeon. Due to lack of guidance by office personnel (she had recommended some over-the-counter meds for pain but refrained from telling me not to take it before my scheduled appointment which was the next morning!), the initial consultation was deemed "inconclusive". I rescheduled and went to my car. I noticed a swelling and called and asked if I needed antibiotics. I had been tasting a bad bacteria taste as well. They said I didn't need it. By that night, full blown absess (on weekend of course). Had to go to emergency dentist on Monday morning and got prescription. Subsequently, made it back to next consultation and they proceeded to do partial root canal as I noted. Procedure went fine and then was told I shouldn't bother having it finished because I would probably need the tooth taken out anyway. (I overheard the same conversation in the next room.) I just want to help people in my situation. Endodontists are paid to do root canals. Dentists do the fillings, crowns, etc. Oral surgeons extract. They all do their individual procedures and most do it well. Just review all your options and make your decision.

Dr Leff is an amazing Doctor, with class, grace, and he treats all patients in the manner he would treat his own family. I appreciate the excellent medical skills of Dr. Leff, I never have any complications, prolonged pain, my issues are always resolved in a pleasantly perfect manner. I have horrible anxiety with going to see a Dentist. Dr. Leff, and his staff are very calming, reassuring, and highly professional. When Dr. Leff gives me a needle before he does my root canal, I feel no pain. Most of the time, I don't even know he has done my root canals, that is how awesome Dr. Leff is. I appreciate when Dr. Leff works on my kid's teeth, he sits down with them in the waiting area, and have the most fascinating conversations with them about school, academics, and I find him to be absolutely amazing. When anyone asks me , who does great root canals, I tell them to go see Dr. Leff! They do not make Doctors like Dr. Leff anymore. I also want to thank Natalie, Ebony, and the other very kind assistant in the office that works as a team to make sure our insurance covers our procedure. Natalie is wonderful, and Ebony (Dr. Leff's assistant is very sweet)

If the rating was only for their customer service I would give it a negative (unfortunately 1 star is lowest). However, Dr. Dmitry Kucher, seems to care about his patients and conviction with providing dental care - if the rating was solely based on Dr. Dimtry's dental care (excluding customer service) then I would be happy to give this a higher rating. However, my rating and review is low because of this terrible customer service experience. If this receptionist stays employed then I would never recommend anyone dealing with her. We've are not going back - tons of other dental practices in the area who treat you like a human being. Background: Billing and service dispute as a new patient. Worst ever, phone receptionist intentionally hung up on me when I called about my billing inquiry and rudely interrupted me several times, threatened to call police on me if I showed up in the office, insulted my competency and asked if I know anything about medical industry's standard practice of care. I only needed a cleaning and was trying to find something convenient and local. My insurance covers two free cleanings a year. Detail: When I first called for a new appointment, I explicitly informed the receptionist for a cleaning only (no interest in anything else). However, after going in for the cleaning, they billed me for both a cleaning and a comprehensive oral exam. I called to understand and to ultimately dispute the billing (for the oral exam). But the receptionist who picked up the phone was extremely defensive. I told her this is not what I asked for when I made the appointment. She said its 'standard of care practice' to provide oral exam for new patients. I was very explicit when I first called to make the appointment that I'm only interested in cleaning. She did not explicitly mention that new patient require oral exams. I told her, she should have been more transparent about their policy (nothing on their website, nor did they mention all new patients require an oral exam). The receptionist then got very defensive and told me she was going to hang-up on me. I told them if they hang-up I would go to their office to speak to them directly because I still didn't finish speaking. She said she would threaten to call the police on me if I showed up. I only wanted to go in and speak to someone in person since the receptionist has no interest or care about what I was saying. She abruptly hung-up. I called back a second time telling her to cancel my other appointment (scheduled for my spouse) - she continued to interrupt me... I ended up going into the office and spoke with Dr. Dmitry Kucher - good guy and explained the situation. He was understanding and apologized for his employee's behavior (mentions she has a very short fuse - guess she treats all his customers/patience like this). Extremely disappointed and never been threatened by anyone to have police called - especially an inquiry regarding an incidental billing charge. Overall: would never recommend this receptionist/customer service. Although Dr. Dmitry seems to be competent, he still needs to be more transparent about pricing and much better job at hiring quality employees.
