Large crowds flock onto the Pearl sidewalks to browse through galleries--and eat, drink and party! J. Pepin is a packed gallery on any First Thursday. But I suggest to go there on a less crowded day to open your mind's eye to see these paintings. Feel the color and vibrance of the artists who have a mental health history. Yes, the paintings are mind blowing! Fascinating abstract paintings, as any in all Pearl District galleries. The paintings I've see now stir my emotions and thoughts! Stirs my words as I describe what I feel taking a deeper look on a quiet day without big crowds to distract me. Wakes up my imagination! My inner voice reflects on the movements stirring by following the brush strokes of vibrant colors bursting from the canvass. My interpretation(s) stream out of a musing consciousness. And it is not beer talking! Maybe I do have a coffee buzz-zzz going. But this art begs a deeper look! This day I had an opportunity to talk with Jennifer, the gallery owner, who personally shines with passion overcoming her own bipolar history. She shines with a mission to support artists with a mental health history. Unique artists (yes)! Talented artists (for sure)! Admiring their art I would say they are "specially-gifted." J. Pepin was my fourth or fifth stop. Very small gallery that has only been open four and a half months. Very nice art work, one of the artists definitely had an influence of Edward Hopper. Yes I know my artists. A cool fact about this gallery is that all of the artists have some form of mental disorder. I asked if it was just the exhibit but was told all the time. I reached out to them while hunting for an out-of-print game, and although they didn't have it in stock, the staff went out of their way to provide helpful advice that ultimately led me to find it elsewhere. It is rare to find a business that respects the questions of some random person with an unusual request. Five stars!

As we entered, we were greeted by an employee who told us that if we had any questions then we could ask anytime. We were just browsing at the moment and saw that they had a huge collection of board games to look at. I loved their Halloween decorations in the store! One issue we had was when we wanted to check out the TCG section but it is in a separate room with a locked door. We wanted to go in but the employee was busy at the moment so we had to wait several minutes before we could go in. It felt awkward for us as we didn't want to interrupt or rush the employee but after waiting, the employee was kind enough to open the door and let us look around. We got a One Piece pack and while we were purchasing, we were told that they have a rewards program that is free to join so we decided to join that too in case we come back. The prices seem fairly priced so it is definitely a great spot to buy board games or TCGs.

We've been to Choza and CPK. I can't wait until Fogo de Chao opens. I like Peet's Coffee, but I wished there was a local coffee shop. There is also an AMC. Tender Loving Empire has great items that are made by various local and small businesses. When we went to the Apple Store during the holidays, it seemed pretty busy. This shopping center offers different experiences if you plan to shop, dine, walk around, or attend an event.

Parking this time of year is always tricky, but expected. This year they changed companies and it was disappointing to see the new pricing. You need to pay $20.00 for the appointment/down payment towards pictures. This year the cheapest package offered for purchase was $39.99. The Santa was great as always and the team members were nice. They did good on timing and we were in and out in a timely manner. My kids liked the stuffed animals they got as a gift from Santa. My biggest suggestion would be to bring back the one picture and/or digital option and have more affordable package options.

The sink we liked would have to be special ordered and would not arrive in time for our project. Brian (I hope I remember his name correctly) was very helpful in that he located the same sink at another business where we would get it in time. We purchased the other items here and then went to their competitor to get the sink. We very much appreciate the effort he took to help us get what we needed and highly recommend their superb customer service.

Totally on board. Except when you feel like you are paying a penalty in both time and finances by going that route. 2012 was the year we decided to upgrade multiple kitchen and bath fixtures in our house. There are several specialty shops in Portland with a wide range of items beyond what you can find at Lowe's and Home Depot, but I wanted to stick a little closer to home. I was very excited to find this showroom just blocks from I-5 and the store itself is lovely. I've never been an internet shopper and while I research the bejesus out of retail items [1], the actual purchase of anything significant only comes after the all important sniff test. Or in this case, the touch and see test. Especially when you are looking at various finishes, you really need to see these items in person. A good friend, who recently went through a kitchen and bath remodel, recommended ordering through an online site. But, I decided to be a good little local consumer and ordered roughly ten items over the course of six months here. And while some of the in person experiences were swell, the overall experience was not. First of all, they seem woefully out of date regarding communication. Any retail business not taking full advantage of the web in this day and age is really missing the boat. They do have a website, and it turns out there are eleven locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, but it is minimal at best. There is one link to an employee's email, but we had a series of miscommunications by email, phone and in person. Several employees work at the store, but rather than deal with just one person we had multiple contacts. Because we didn't have a simple order (multiple items, some were on back order, etc.), it never seemed like the person we talked to knew what was going on. And when I compared the price I paid to the on-line site, theirs wasn't as good. So throwing a few extra dollars their way ended up feeling like a really bad idea based on the poor customer service. By the end of the project, I was ordering from the other on-line website. A few clicks of the mouse and items would magically appear on my doorstep. Go figure! Because I will always feel the need to see before I buy, I'll still stop by here. But actually buy something from here... nope. [1] It took me roughly 18 mo. and two dozen test drives to select my latest car.

Had an appointment to have my first earlobes repierced and new piercings for second lobes. Two…read morepeople helped me select jewelry (huge amount of options, I got there 15 minutes early and could have spent even more time looking at what was available). Xia was my piercer and determined the first lobe piercings were still open and could get a ring through on each side, which was awesome. We discussed placement of the second piercings and whole procedure was done quickly and efficiently. Really appreciate front desk staff and Xia for all their help. It's only been a few days but piercings are all healing nicely. Looking forward to working with them again if I decide to add more!

This is how a business should be run!…read more I set up an appointment on Sunday with black hole piercing and I got an email that my appointment was canceled due to illness. Totally get that so we set up an appointment with another person for Monday. When we showed there was a written not on the door that they were closed. Never got a call or email. My goddaughter is here and we were going to get our nose pierced together but time is limited. We wasted two days of working plans around appointments that didn't happen. So I'm not impressed. A friend told me about Adorn so we decided to walk in I understand that most shops run off appointments and Ethan greeted us right off the bat. I told him our situation and did offer to make an appointment and he said that if we want to wait they will try to get us in between appointments. We did what we needed to do and with our luck there was a cancellation and we got in right away. The store is super clean the staff is way friendly. Bre did our piercings and was friendly, sanitary and professional. The we were told about the aftercare and was given Saline to clean it. And last but not least their piercings are affordable and so is their jewelry making my bank account happy If I could give them a higher rating I would
