We were told of Fixture Gallery when we were shopping for tile at a nearby business. We stopped in to look for a kitchen sink and faucet. The sink we liked would have to be special ordered and would not arrive in time for our project. Brian (I hope I remember his name correctly) was very helpful in that he located the same sink at another business where we would get it in time. We purchased the other items here and then went to their competitor to get the sink. Sadly my worst customer service experience in 2012 happened here... repeatedly. You know the Portland mantra, "buy local, support local businesses, yada, yada, yada." Got it. Totally on board. Except when you feel like you are paying a penalty in both time and finances by going that route. 2012 was the year we decided to upgrade multiple kitchen and bath fixtures in our house. There are several specialty shops in Portland with a wide range of items beyond what you can find at Lowe's and Home Depot, but I wanted to stick a little closer to home. I was very excited to find this showroom just blocks from I-5 and the store itself is lovely. I've never been an internet shopper and while I research the bejesus out of retail items [1], the actual purchase of anything significant only comes after the all important sniff test. Or in this case, the touch and see test. Especially when you are looking at various finishes, you really need to see these items in person. A good friend, who recently went through a kitchen and bath remodel, recommended ordering through an online site. But, I decided to be a good little local consumer and ordered roughly ten items over the course of six months here. And while some of the in person experiences were swell, the overall experience was not. First of all, they seem woefully out of date regarding communication. Any retail business not taking full advantage of the web in this day and age is really missing the boat. They do have a website, and it turns out there are eleven locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, but it is minimal at best. There is one link to an employee's email, but we had a series of miscommunications by email, phone and in person. Several employees work at the store, but rather than deal with just one person we had multiple contacts. Because we didn't have a simple order (multiple items, some were on back order, etc.), it never seemed like the person we talked to knew what was going on. And when I compared the price I paid to the on-line site, theirs wasn't as good. So throwing a few extra dollars their way ended up feeling like a really bad idea based on the poor customer service. By the end of the project, I was ordering from the other on-line website. A few clicks of the mouse and items would magically appear on my doorstep. Go figure! Because I will always feel the need to see before I buy, I'll still stop by here. But actually buy something from here... nope. Never seen a business so uninterested in taking my money. I am in the market for two replacement toilets with washlets. Had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment in the showroom. When I got there, it turned out the sales rep knew literally nothing about washlets and was unable to compare/contrast different models. The toilet (without washlet) they recommended was $800 and they did not provide any information on less expensive models, or what I'm getting feature-wise for that much money. I was eventually asked to leave the showroom because another appointment was coming up and they had to disinfect, but the promised e-mails with information about more washlets and toilet models never showed up. What a beautiful showroom! We are doing a full gut on our master bathroom. My contractor did not have them on their lists to check out but I just could not find a bathtub I liked at other showrooms and I wanted to try and buy local. Went in on a Saturday and took sometime before anyone said hello or offed to help. When I finally asked was told it is best to make an appointment. Went in for appointment following week. Went thru process of picking out items but felt I was not listen to almost a car salesmen additude. When it was time to get quote was told they would only send it to my contractor. My experience with the fixture gallery was just terrific. I recently completed a huge, three bathroom remodel and I purchased all of my fixtures, medicine cabinets, vanity lights, and towel bars, and grab bars from here. I love all of the salespeople who work at the fixture gallery in Tigard, they were all super helpful! I worked primarily with Sierra, but due the size and scope of my project I literally had help from every salesperson in the gallery -- and believe me I needed help. They were great at solving my last minute problems, helping me if some item I had purchased wasnt going to work or getting a new set of plastic screws for my hansgrhoe shower regulator when my poor plumber accidentally cut them too short! They were patient with me when I would come in a rush, realizing I needed something I had forgotten to purchase -- they were all just super wonderful. The design advice was really stellar -- I just loved shopping there, everyone was such a delight and so helpful! I am sorry I am just going on and on but these guys are great. This place is amazing, Anna and I dealt with Wes. He's very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and listens to you in regards to what your aesthetic design plans are instead of trying to route you down his own path. This place is full of friendly representatives, instead of just salespeople trying to force product on you. Everyone we spoke to had the same great personable approach and knowledge. I'm not made of money so, when I'm shopping for something, price is one of the criteria I use. That attitude is anathema to the salespeople at Fixture Gallery. We were escorted through the store looking at various fixtures for our master bath remodel and when we found a fixture in which we were interested, we asked how much it was. The response was "well, the LIST price is $xxx but that's not what you would pay." OK, so how much would we pay? "Well, your general contractor would have one price but your plumber might pay a different price." What the $@#&? How much does the damned thing cost? The price should be the price no matter who comes into the store to buy it - just tell me how much you want for the faucet. Don't play games with me. My time is important too so quit yanking my chain. read more

I went to Consolidated's showroom today to look for kitchen, bath items for a remodel. Sheila was very knowledgeable when I explained my price point and finding things with the existing decor. They had a great selection and were going to talk with my contractor to confirm my new plumbing would work with existing decor/plumbing. I will go back in the future if I need anything else for my home. Highly recommend! read more

A WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS!! We chose an apron sink and were quoted a price of $1300. The salesperson advised us that she would bill it to our plumbing contractor, since they would get a contractor's discount. "Great", we thought. No problem. I picked up the sink myself, and the plumber installed it. I then received an invoice from the plumber for $1,800 for the sink (excluding installation). The plumber charged us only what their cost was, so somewhere along the line we got screwed by the showroom sales people. We recommend when receiving a quote from these people, that you get it in writing. I will never do business with the Fixture Gallery again. read more

Welcome to the twilight zone folks..its weird you go there & place a high dollar order thinking that when your done your going to get professional high end service but that's when the problems start...If you like paying high end retail prices for mismanaged orders then this your place .. not sure what's going on there but they seem professional when your on the showroom floor placing your high end retail kitchen & bath order , sipping your free coffee & snacks, but soon the blame game will start.." oh, that sales lady is not here today so I'm not sure what you ordered" or I'm not sure why that saleslady said we could give you that much discount percentage" ..pass the buck retail is how the sales ladies get by there..constantly pretending its not their fault something was not done correctly... it's also a total price scam..claiming to give you up 30% discount that never materializes ....after their mark up its the same as paying the retail price anyway.. not to mention you still have to pay for labor..don't be fooled by their coffee & snacks thats the only thing you'll enjoy about your experience there when its all said & done..check their website & social media as example is non existent ..it's really a place that certain contract plumbers go to (you know, the ones that come to your house & give crazy inflated estimates) If you work hard for your money its better spent somewhere where they will work hard for you Tigard Fixture Gallery is not the place.. 1 reviewers said that 2 year ago "it was their worst customer experience of 2012 " well 2 years later its still a HOT MESS @ Tigard Fixture Gallery.. My contractor buys his items here so he had me stop in to choose some for my project. Wow, what a gorgeous space with loads of options. Lorri was quick to greet me, she listened intently to what I was looking for; budget, style, etc. She showed me my options, offered some suggestions, we discussed the pros/cons, she's incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This was one of the most painless home shopping experiences ever! Within about 40min I had all my items chosen, she took note of all of them, gave me her card, and will contact my contractor. We were referred to Consolidated by our countertop company. The selection in their showroom is great! I knew what I was looking for when I went in, but if I had not, I would have had no problem finding the sink. Sierra helped me to make sure the sink was in stock and overall provided a great experience. I ended up going with the Blanco Café Brown sink and I love it!
