The office staff is very kind, knowledgeable and effient. They were able to contact my insurance and get it set for the end of the year. Dr Melissa Pysnak is all of the above and much much more. I have never been in the hands of such a superior, remarkable and outstanding dentist. She is a patient and truly caring and kind person. My tooth was a two hour proceedure that was completed by Dr. Pysnak and the very competent medical staff. This was done with NO pain during or after the proceedure while I was watching My Greek Wedding on a overhead TV. I am overwhelmed wth gratitude for them. It's where family members have been going and it helped that their office was right down the road from my children school. So they could walk into an appointment after school and I could meet them there from work. It is a bit of the pain that they're only open Monday through Thursday but usually that's not a problem. It's more just that I'm a little forgetful and forget to call them sometimes when they're open. As my children have gotten older I want them to be more mindful to communicate with me about what happened when I wasn't there yet. I appreciate that my children are older and can tell me the gist of it themselves but I want the staff to be more communicative with me directly. I don't want the risk of like in the "telephone" game ha ha. There was an instance when I had a crown done and there was some miscommunication, I felt, about the projected cost versus the actual cost and when I brought it up to them they were understanding and they worked with me.

Upon arrival I was asked to provide my insurance, Which I provided. My appointment was a simple check up Hers was a teeth cleaning and check up. I was charged a teeth cleaning on my appointment for some reason as well despite not getting one. After our appointments I paid the co-pay based on what my "insurance covered" according to the lady billing me out. I then had future appointments scheduled for some cavities that needed filling for my wife and I about 3-4 months out. Along with the scheduled date, I was given a printout based on what my insurance covers and what I would have to pay after my next appointment. We go to our next appointments get our cavities filled. I head over to the front counter to be billed and get charged an additional $650 for the cavities being filled. I asked why this amount differed significantly from the quote I received. I was told that the quote was incorrect and upon communication with my dental provider, my insurance did not cover as much. I thought it was weird, but paid it anyways. Three months after my appointment, I get a call saying that I owed an additional $750. When I asked why, I was told because "they forgot to tell me that they do not work with Aetna for dental insurance." Pretty convenient on their behalf to wait until after my last appointment. After my first appointment I had recommended this place to a few friends of mine because the staff seemed friendly. This same thing happened to a friend of mine where they were told far after their appointments that they "forgot they did not work with their dental provider." Not sure if this was a simple office mistake on their behalf or if they are running some kind of scam here But to happen to two people in that short of a time frame makes me truly question. Needless to say, I'm at about a year after my last appointment and for the first time in my life, my teeth that were worked on are sensitive to hot and cold. Feels like my tooth, amazing. But, every appointment I made resulted in sitting in the pleasant lobby with others that were booked for the same time, I always waited an hour or more. Not sure why they make appointments and then book many at the same time. VERY EXPENSIVE. They would not use the crown that fell out, had to start from scratch with the most extensive set of x -rays I've ever had for my teeth, a build up (temp), then the fabulous crown. I booked it as as urgent, but it was not treated with any urgency, at all. I sat with a billing person to discuss cost and schedules, hat to make two large payments, but thought I was done with it and then weeks later I got yet another bill for the x-rays, that was not mentioned as being separate. They quoted me a separate price for a crown that was the last step in an implant from another state, they wanted over $2,000. So, although I love them personally, I will not be going back and nor do I recommend them to anyone that is not full of money and in no hurry.

So let me be clear this office had to contend with what many including this office say this is the bigger post they have ever seen The procedure took two visits over 6 total hours. They kept me comfortable and at ease the entire time. The doctor said I won't give up until you want me to and he never did. To that end he was able to successfully retreat my root canal. No thank you sir. I don't like being gaslit, how any of this could be my fault is absurd considering you did all the work, not me. Dismissing pain is never ok either. I called my regular dentist who felt I needed immediate care and was upset at my treatment and appalled by the text I received agreeing deflecting the blame back to me was completely unacceptable.
