If I could give this establishment a fat ZERO I would. My husband and I went to see doctor Jeffery about a year and a half ago. He has bad foot problems and the doctor recommended a orthotic for his shoe. We explained to him the last doctor recommended the same thing but that we can't afford it because the insurance wouldn't cover it.. So we told him NO unless it gets covered so he reassures us he'll figure something out and call us. Fast forward to a few weeks later and they call us to tell us that our orthotic is ready for pick up and that we had to pay almost 300 bucks out of pocket. Umm. Excuse me WTF is going on?! My husband tells the lady that the doctor was supposed to call us because we couldn't afford it so we weren't going to pick it up. The woman said she'd call us back! SHE NEVER HAS ONCE! And we have called several times and each time they said someone would call us! Now I'm super pissed because they sent the bill to COLLECTIONS for a service we never asked for or received and tacked on an additional 200 dollars!!! The lady in the billing department deserves a medal for being the WORST employee My husband has ever come across in the medical field. She told him to never call back, was using foul language, and hung up on him.. I was stunned to say the least! So this is what it had to come down too. I'm reporting this office to whomever I have too to get this issue resolved.. this is my promise to you that I will leave a review on every damn site I have too so that NOBODY else goes through this! Dr Katz was very nice, so I didn't give one star. My disappointment in him was concerning a very specialized surgery I need. I came for an initial visit to see if I was a candidate for the surgery. They took my insurance information ( he is on the approved list for my coverage). At that point, he should have informed me that all his surgeries are done out of St Jude, and my insurance does not cover that location. End of visit. Instead, he took lots of X-rays and gave me hope he could help. He scheduled a second visit to review the X-rays. In the review he was vague about if he could help me, that my insurance would not cover it and tried to sell me expensive orthotics. Bottom line, he just milked my insurance for two visits and lots of X-rays. read more

She will make you feel like scum, and as soon as you walk into the office, you can guarantee to be greeted with a look of disgust and an eye roll. I cannot say enough about Dr Katz and his office staff. I have been a patient of Dr Katz for over at least fifteen years. I am a seasoned citizen as they say, and have been around a few blocks in my day. Dr Katz is friendly, knowledgeable and very skilled at what he does. Without going into the "details", believe me when I say my foot issues are varied and complicated. I see the Doctor every thirty days and have for the past few years. Each of my problems have been dealt with in a very caring and professional way. Bottom line he is the best. Cannot say enough about the quality of care. As important as the care from your doctor is, I believe the front office staff is also very important. At my age, I have more specialists than friends! So unfortunately for me, I have a great deal of experience with medical offices. The staff at this office is wonderful, caring and very professional. You will feel comfortable and relaxed. The office is small and I observe the interactions of the staff with many other patients in person and on the phone. Each time the staff was friendly, courteous and caring. Dr. Katz has been my Podiatrist for a little over three months now and it's been a journey . The staff is great and appt times to be seen are no longer than 15 minutes tops and the billing is always accurate. Dr Katz and his crew are great! I have flat feet and was looking for information about Hyprocure. Found Dr Katz and made an appt. After talking to him about the procedure I went ahead and had it done. I had the Hyprocure procedure done on both feet and the surgeries went very well. No complication or infections!!! I also had a bone spur removed on the inside of the my left foot and healed very well. I live about 1.5 away from Dr Katz office and will not hesitate to go back to him for my foot care! Suffered with pain and a limp with what felt like a huge bruise on the ball of my foot for SIX YEARS ... after four different podiatrists over the years with everything from hot/cold to expensive orthotics that did absolutely nothing... I decided to try one more doctor. Dr. Katz said he had a theory that had a 50% or better chance and he gave me shots for three visits (three weeks apart), no change after one shot, 90% better after two and after three I am 95% pain free for the first time in years. I went to Dr. Katz for nearly a year to create inserts. There was a problem with the first mold which created pain in my foot. We tried over and over again (five times) to create inserts that would not cause more pain than what I came in for originally. Inserts came back with the same problem over and over, or new problems (different heights). Communication issues between front office and the Dr. complicated things. After over a year of effort, the combination of the doctor and the vendor he used to make the inserts could not get the job done. If you can't trust him for inserts, would you trust him to do surgery on your body? read more

He cares about his patients and is very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. He realized my problem by a quick look at my foot and took care of it at the same visit. I am shocked at these bad reviews. Dr. Katz and his staff are wonderful. I have been seeing Dr. Katz for about 9 months trying to relieve my plantar faciitis pain. He tried custom orthotics and cortisone injections. I also purchased the shoes which he recommended. I did get some relief but not enough to return to my regular exercise routine. So, I decided to go ahead with the recommended surgery which he did last week. The surgery went extremely well and so far no pain! I went in to Dr. Katz to fix a bunion so I can start running again, I was 45 at the time. The surgery went well I assume and i went in for my two week check up. My wife was with me so there was no chance of a misunderstanding. Dr. Katz told me to go out and get a pair of inexpensive tennis shoes that were larger than my normal size due to the foot swelling and feel free to walk around gently. We went out and picked up a pair of shoes. I was joyfully shuffling around the house when my foot started killing me. I called the next day and was told by the office staff not to worry, come in next week for my normal check up. When I did come in over a week later Dr. Katz's office partner found out it was broken. As it turns out Dr. Katz lost track of the surgery date and thought it had been 6 weeks when it was only two. I went in every two weeks for a cast to be put on my foot and an x-ray for 6 months and paid the copay each time I went in. Then to add insult to injury he had a bone growth stimulator delivered to me. I find out 6 months later insurance doesn't pay and I am out $2,500. I chalk it up to stupidity on my part for not questioning him more and moved on. This was about $3K out of pocket, but the worse was yet to come. Six years later my foot is so jacked up that I can barely walk, I am due for surgery again and I have arthritis on my second toe joint due to the pressure of walking being placed there rather than my big toe. Due to the break the big toe joint does not touch the groun. And my knee is messed up because of having to walk strangely on my foot. I have gone to two podiatrist since and both say it is a severely messed up surgery / post surgery. The foot was a nuisance before, it is useless now... Looking back I handled the post surgery poorly, I should have raised a bigger stink but I was hoping the foot would end up in a good place. read more

My husband broke his leg last month and was in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Yorba Linda. Dr. Katz came in and trimmed his toenails, assuming that was part of the service from the facility. We then got a bill in the mail for $40.00 (for trimming toe nails). When I called the office to double check the amount, the lady was quite rude - she said he is a doctor, not a manicurist. How snotty. Maybe Dr. Katz is good, but he certainly needs a billing person who will at least listen and not be sarcastic, totally unwarranted. read more

Dr. Katz and his office are wonderful!! I took my son in law recently because he thought he broke his ankle. Turned out it was just a bad sprain. Dr. Katz is competent, and very knowledgeable in his specialty of the Foot and Ankle. His foot was wrapped and he was given a state of the art boot to get around in. I highly recommend this office. They are friendly & efficient. He has another doctor, Dr. Amin who is just as great. We went back in and saw her for his recheck. Both are very impressive!! Jeff Katz is an awesome podiatrist. One thing that sets him apart from other podiatrists I have seen is that he has a running habit very similar to mine so he just gets it and he always wants to keep me running. His answer to my foot problems is almost never "stop running" but always, let's solve this and get you back in business as soon as possible and often will even tape my foot in a way that he will send me away, same day, with the prescription to go for a run. And he's always right on with his diagnosis and resolve. He knows my limitations and reserves the "don't run" for only very necessary times. Maybe twice in the 6 years of being treated by him as a runner. I have been going to Dr. Katz for 25 years and his staff is always OVER THE TOP kind and friendly. There is nobody on this planet more genuine and sincere in their kindness than Lori and Kathy--the sweet ladies who run his front office. He hit the jackpot having them as his front office staff. There's nobody better anywhere. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Katz to not only all runners out there but also entire families. My father sees him and when my grandmother was still alive she always LOVED Her visits with Dr. Katz. He showed concern for her as an individual and not just as another random patient. I would NOT go to this doctor or his Anaheim Hills Office. The staff in both offices are extremely rude!! Not happy to be around. Wait time is very long because there are 12 other patients with the same time appointment time. Saw Dr. Katz 3 times, first time was a waste. Did not even look at my x-ray that I brought in and paid to have done at another location. I got Orthotics made by him 2nd time. They are JUNK, I now have to get new ones made by my new doctor .3rd time being there he said he gave me an x-ray but never did. This is a scam doctor. I. I went to the Corona office in December 2014, I waited 1.5 hours to be seen with appointment! My fault for waiting and for going back for follow up. Dr. Katz was very friendly and courteous, however I went in for bunion surgery that appeared to go well. I came in for a two week checkup. He said things are looking good and since my foot was swollen go ahead and get an oversized pair of shoes and I can start walking around. Immediately my foot started killing me, I called the office and they said everything was okay and come in for my appt next week. I cam in and my foot had broken were the surgery was, Dr. Katz said he thought the surgery was 6 weeks ago not 2 and I should not have walked on it, he is the one that told me to. I had to come in every two weeks for him to put on a new soft cast on and check the healing. It took 6 months and I paid the $20 co-pay for every visit. And he advised me to get a bone stimulator, sounds good so I got it. Oh, by the way it was $2K and insurance did not pay for it. I am very disappointed myself that I paid all that I did, however Dr. Katz is the one that screwed my foot up by having me walk on it too soon. And now I have difficulty walking, hiking and running is out of the question. I think about his surgery every step, the rest of my life.... read more
