I can't say enough about Dr Illeck and his office. He delivered two of our kids (both C sections due to complications from first delivery). Both were long discussions with me about if I wanted to try for VBAC or schedule the CSection. He gave his opinion but didn't force me either way. Beach OBGYN is a great choice for your OB needs! You will be well taken care of by any of their providers. I have been seeing Dr Illeck and Dr Narayan for years now. They delivered my sons via a c/section and a Vbac. Both experiences were great! I felt well supported and safe through out both pregnancies. It can be challenging to find doctors who will listen to your concerns and support your decisions but that's exactly what you will get! The staff is attentive and welcoming. If you decide to make an appointment with their NP or PA, you can't go wrong, Valerie and Courtney are amazing! I highly recommend them for all of your women's health needs. read more

We came into the office he said there's no heartbeat scheduled my wife for a DNC handed her the paperwork on a Thursday. Do NOT waste your time. Poor management does not even begin to express the imcompetency of that office. Only to be told the doctor left for the day and there was no one that could see me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They then had the gall to ask me to reschedule! Clearly they don't care about their patients, so inconsiderate[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told the HB office did not call Newport, but Newport did not call me to tell me I could not be seen if I'm 5 minutes late.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unacceptable, time to find a doctor that cares. read more

How can I begin to express how exceptional the quality of care was that I received with Dr. Illeck! For context, this was my first pregnancy and it was high risk. After years of feeling like being just a number and not an actual person at a larger OB group - when I found out I was pregnant I decided to switch over to Beach OB and I am so glad I did! Ok i just wanted to say dr illeck is AMAZING i've had both my babies w him & id go back to him but his office & staff have made me leave, after seeing him for 7.5 years i called today to ask for an RX for a UTI. Stephanie called me and was soo rude i've never had anyone treat me that way. i did not yell or cuss i simply said so i'm in danger of getting a kidney infection and you can't see me or write an RX and she said that's right and HUNG up on me! again i've never yelled or was even rude or cuss i simply just pushed back to be seen. i won't make that mistake again, but hope this somehow prevents that this won't happen to someone else. Someone like Stephanie shouldn't be allowed to work in healthcare. it's so sad years i've gone here and received nothing but kindness. but today was enough for me to find another dr. that and they can't get you in in any decent amount of time. but also won't write you an RX for a UTI forcing you to go to urgent care every time. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but when I saw the recent 1 star review that was written- I felt compelled to share my experience. I've worked as an LDR nurse along Dr Illeck for the past 10 years, not only do I trust him as a colleague- but I chose him to be my OB for my own pregnancy as well (That choice says a lot coming from a LDR nurse). Of all the Hoag OBs, he is the most patient. He will only recommend intervention if it is absolutely medically necessary and not once has he made a decision based on his own convenience. Unfortunately, I ended up with a very complicated pregnancy that required 2 hospital stays and bedrest for 3 months. I knew my c-section was going to be difficult and I had all the time in world to think of every possible way it could go wrong. I trusted Dr Illeck with my life and my baby's life the entire way through. Unless you are pregnant this Doctor does not care about you! I went in due to painful periods and fibroids. The Doctor barely examined me, didn't ask any questions on how long or heavy my period is or even how painful it is. He did however talk about how "over Covid" he is. Yes, I get it but I'm here for a reason. I did leave with an order for an ultra sound..., which was wrong. The Doctor did not specify trans vaginal, so I basically went in for an abdominal ultra sound. Even the tech was you may have to come back for a transvaginal. When he called to ask why? And I told him the tech told me the ultra sound order didn't specify. He SAID NOTHING!!! Like my mistake, I'm so sorry-nothing! He did not offer to give me a correct order for closer look at the fibroids! The abdominal ultra sound did in fact showed I had fibroids. He dismissed them and said the operation to remove them is extensive. I told him, I am concerned of the location of one fibroid as it is in the middle of my uterus and it may effect embryo implantation. Again when I told him this he said, "Lots of women get pregnant with fibroids". Not very reassuring at all. I am extremely concerned of the lack of attention or empathy this Doctor gives to patients that have medical concerns other than pregnancy... in my opinion he prefers to just push you out the door. That's what he did to me. I would not recommend him to a friend or even an enemy. Stay away. read more

I delivered my VBAC baby 10/29/2022. I'm going to leave a more detailed review in just bit, but I want anyone who is searching to know that Dr. Illeck is truly the best in the delivery room. He listens to the choices you make, and doesn't pressure you. He's been doing this for quite a while and I can see why he is called the king of OC VBAC. I overheard a mom talking about how he has delivered twins vaginally, and one was breech! That's rare. Ok I will update this soon, with more detail.
