Dr. Barker was great, letting me know ahead of each step what he was about to do. He made sure I was comfortable and not having pain and if so to raise my hand. He went over everything with me and then scheduled my actual procedure. I arrived at 11:15 for a 11:30 appointment and was taken right in. The doctor came in almost immediately and the procedure took about 45 minutes. Dr.Yamamoto explained everything to me as we progressed through the procedure and answered all my questions upon completion. He was able to complete everything in one visit, which I greatly appreciated. He is an excellent endodontist and even called me the evening of the procedure to see how I was doing. The office is super clean, pleasant and all the staff, including the front desk staff are super nice, friendly, respectful and kind. Dr Hahn and the team provide exceptional care and are super gentle, thoughtful during all the procedures, cleaning, x-rays and exams. I was a patient at Ventura Center for Dental Health for more than 20 years…read more Earlier this year, I learned of a serious diagnosis noted in my medical record when the office manager shared my HIPPA-protected health information spontaneously and without my consent. VCDH staff never mentioned this diagnosis nor bothered to provide appropriate treatment. Shortly before that, I happened to inquire about an unexpected, non-consensual charge to my account, and must have unintentionally said something that upset one or more of the staff members. From then on, I was treated deplorably by the staff, who demonstrated a total lack of ethics, professionalism, and common decency. For example, the office manager and patient care coordinator both engaged in surreptitious patient abandonment (highly unethical and likely illegal) by repeatedly lying about having no appointments available. I immediately suspected their dishonesty, but the office manager continued to lie when I asked if there was any issue. When I confronted the patient care coordinator after acquiring proof of their lies, the response was "I just do what I'm told."
