I was shopping for a Stinger GT, and they are scarce right now. Bradley had helped me when I wanted to test drive a Seltos, which I loved, but it was just a touch too small for me. I contacted a car broker and when I saw his numbers, I was not impressed. I contacted a few other dealers, but the one or two vehicles they had either had the wrong trim level or were in a color combination that I didn`t like. There was one, in white that I would have bought and was about to drive 50 minutes to test drive. I called Jeffrey Kia, hoping to find a car that I liked that was closer to home. Brad was with a customer, so I talked to his manager, David who located the car in a great color (Panthera Gray), but it was at another dealership. It was better equipped than the vehicle that I was considering. David said that he could get it from the other dealer and honored the price that I was given on the lesser-equipped car. I had to wait the weekend until they could get the car from the other dealership, but it was well worth it!! Not only do I love the vehicle, but Bradley was passionate about the Kia line and was very knowledgeable. 1 STAR -- I WOULD NOT TRUST JEFFREY KIA SERVICE CENTER WITH A DIAGNOSTIC I'm writing this review while I'm STILL sitting here waiting for my vehicle, so this experience is extremely fresh. When I scheduled my appointment, I specifically explained that my 2022 Kia Telluride AWD was jerking while turning and had multiple warning lights on the dashboard. I was also told there was an open software recall/update and was asked to leave enough time for them to complete it. I arrived about 10 minutes before my 11:00 AM appointment. Almost immediately, the service advisor told me I needed to authorize a $200 diagnostic fee. I repeatedly brought up the software recall/update, but that concern seemed to be brushed aside. Then I was told there were approximately 15 vehicles ahead of mine and they might not even get to my vehicle until around 6 PM -- possibly later. Because I needed the problem addressed, I agreed to wait. While sitting there, I started researching the Kia technical information myself. What I found was extremely frustrating: Kia has issued information describing AWD-related symptoms including "shudder, jerking, binding, or chattering" while turning at low speeds -- incredibly similar to the exact complaint I gave them when I arrived -- with a prescribed AWD/4WD software logic update. At around 12:30-1:00 PM, after discovering this, I went back to the desk intending to CANCEL the $200 diagnostic. Suddenly, I was told my diagnostic was already completed and the results would be ready shortly. So somehow I went from having "15 vehicles ahead of me" and potentially waiting until 6 PM or later... to my diagnostic being completed roughly two hours after arrival, conveniently right when I tried to cancel it. You can decide for yourself how that looks. Another hour and a half later (likely after that ACTUALLY did the diagnostics) I was told that the diagnostic reportedly found that I need a front sensor and that my rear brakes will need replacement in the near future. Meanwhile, the software update/recall and oil change were also completed. My biggest issue is that the conversation seemed to jump immediately to a $200 diagnostic charge BEFORE thoroughly addressing whether the symptoms I reported could be related to the open Kia campaign/software update or an applicable Kia technical bulletin. That makes me feel taken advantage of as a customer. I'm not going to call it a scam. I'll simply tell you what happened and let you draw your own conclusion. I came in with symptoms that closely matched Kia-published AWD concerns, repeatedly mentioned an open software update, was told I needed to authorize a $200 diagnostic, was initially told my vehicle might not even be looked at until the end of the day, and then somehow learned the diagnostic was already finished when I attempted to cancel it. That experience destroyed my confidence in this service department. If you bring your vehicle here, I strongly recommend researching your recalls, campaigns, technical service bulletins, and warranty coverage BEFORE authorizing any diagnostic charges. Based on my experience today, I would not recommend Jeffrey Kia Service Center. read more

In the following I am going to do my absolute best to detail my experience purchasing a Certified 2022 Kia Niro Touring from Jeffrey Kia on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. I located the Niro on Autotrader in February and was eventually connected to salesperson Sam in the Used Kia department of the dealership. Making a deal on the purchase price went smoothly as the dealership wasn't willing to negotiate, but they were offering a very competitive price so I did not push very hard for a lower price. I worked extremely hard to make a fair comparison across multiple dealerships, and the Certified Niro at Jeffrey won out, if only by a little. There was a bit of haggling with Paul in the finance department over the warranty. Even at the best pricing, I was only able to capture a 120k mile Platinum warranty for $2100. I strongly urge anyone reading this and purchasing an additional warranty here to check with Lucas and or Craig with Kia of Muncie, if you are looking to buy additional warranty, as Lucas and Craig were able to offer a 10 year 150k mile Platinum warranty for $1864 as opposed to the $2100 120k mile warranty I ended up buying at Jeffrey. In addition, I made a tremendous mistake by not asking about the full condition of the vehicle prior to agreeing to buy it. Having purchased numerous Certified Pre-Owned vehicles in the past, I had always assumed that Certified meant that the vehicle was in superior condition. Upon getting the car home, I discovered a large tear in the driver's seat on the left side. With the tear on the left side, it made it somewhat difficult to see upon entering as this part of the seat faced towards the inside of the car. This was a sizeable mistake on my part and I will not be making the assumption about Certified Pre-Owned again, and will likely not be purchasing a Kia Certified Pre-Owned again due to the lower standards I now believe they have for labeling vehicles as such. I have made multiple requests to the salesperson to see if they would reconcile the issue and at this point it is my belief that they have no intention to do so. It is absolutely my fault for not ensuring the condition before driving it off the lot, but I honestly never anticipated an issue such as this from a Certified Pre-Owned, so take away from it what you will. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle site unseen from Jeffrey Kia, I would also strongly urge you to request all photos from the interior and ensure that the condition is top quality. Overall I am satisfied with the transaction process but disappointed in the vehicle's quality. It is especially disappointing given that I knew about the lower priced warranty before closing and could have switched at the last minute, but I had already given my word to purchase the additional Platinum from Jeffrey and did not want to go back on the deal I had made verbally. There were a few additional disappointments but I am not going to go into detail on those at this time. read more

My family has brought three vehicles from Jeffrey. So we always went there for repairs and service, the quality went down for us when they didn't repair my wife's car about two years ago. What sealed my dislike of this place happened today. My 2011 Kia Soul, automatic lock stopped working and the service representative told me they would have to disconnect my alarm to fix it and they wouldn't be re-connecting it because it was after market. So not only did they lose my business for today, I will never go there again. My wife stopped liking them two years ago, so she brought her 2021 Sportage from Summer Place Kia. I was planning on buying a 2022 Kia K5 this year, I will probably go to Summer Place Kia also. I would select negative stars if I could. This post is a little late, because I went last year, but I will never go to this dealership again for service. I wanted to get an oil change and have them look at my remote start because it was acting up. It was installed by the dealership when the car was purchased. The lights would blink but the car would not start. I changed the battery in the fob before going to the dealership and had the same issue. They said the remote start needed to be replaced and they also changed battery in fob and charged me $8.14 (I paid $3 for a battery). Service advisor Andrew Kostrzewa handed me the invoice to go over charges (did not mention the key fob battery charge). I forgot I had a coupon for the oil change and and mentioned to him I forgot about it. He said there was nothing he could do because he already printed the invoice. I said no problem and walked out. Then I noticed the charge for the key fob battery and walked back in and said I couldn't believe they charged me $8 for the battery, and I had already put a new one in. He says how do they know that. I said that is ridiculous to charge that much considering the amount I paid to do it myself! He then became rude and wouldn't listen to what I was saying, and kept saying how do they know they didn't have to change the battery. So I walked out. The next day I went to another service person and explained how rude Andrew was, and told him about the oil change coupon situation. I apologized for my reaction the day before regarding the key fob battery and becoming so frustrated. He said he would see what he could do about the coupon. They ended up giving me $20 off my next oil change (as I said though, I will never go there again so it never got used). So that means Andrew could've updated the invoice and honored the coupon for the oil change, but he was too lazy and didn't want to deal with it. Also, the dealership said I needed a transmission fluid flush and a coolant flush. After doing my own research and then going to a reputable auto repair place, they said you should never flush the whole system. It's actually bad for the car. The dealership tries to sell items you do not need. I went to Auto Truck & Accessories on Van Dyke to get my remote start replaced for over $150 cheaper than the dealership's quoted price to replace it. And their workers are always pleasant and helpful any time I've needed anything. I had another incident a couple years before that where the dealership did not want to honor my warranty to get something fixed on the car, because there were only about 60 miles left before I went over the warranty mileage. Went back and spoke with manager and he was giving a hard time as well about doing the repair under the warranty. After doing math with them for over a half hour to show that the car wasn't over the warranty mileage limit they finally ended up doing the repair. When I pointed out that all the used cars they are selling are significantly higher than the fair price of the cars the manager got upset and hostile. This dealership was great many years ago but poor management and poor treatment of their customers and employees have left this dealership as arguable the worst kia dealership in Michigan. If I could give 0 stars I would. I leased my first car from here in 2021, great car had no issues whatsoever. Then November of 2023 I decided to upgrade my car to a SUV, by far worst mistake ever. My brand new 2023 Kia Sorento has been in the shop at least 4 times this year already each for different problems. Every time I took my vehicle in to get it looked at for the issues they would hook it up to the scanner and about maybe a hour or 2 hours later tops I would get a call saying they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle and told me I can come pick it up. I called their service department for the issues I am still currently having with the vehicle they basically tell me if the scanner doesn't find anything wrong I'm basically out of luck and that they cannot do anything about it. The issue I'm currently having with the vehicle is the emergency braking engages at random times 3 times before on a main road way all separate occasions and once on the free way, mind you nobody is around my vehicle to even make the emergency braking occur. I called Kia corporate and they weren't any better. Basically they said take it to the dealership and tell them to duplicate the issue and I called them back to ask if corporate has spoken with them and they said only to get the paper work when the vehicle was brought here to be "fixed". I currently have a case with the BBB auto line to hopefully either try to get this problem fixed or demand a replacement vehicle because I do not feel comfortable or safe driving this vehicle. read more

Purchased a used 2017 ford fusion. Before we test drove it, they said it was $9100. Then when we said we wanted to purchase it, they kept us there for three hours before we could go over paperwork. They then rushed us through the contract on an iPad. Ended up charging us $11100 for purchase price and said the $2000 difference was for the warranty but there is absolutely nothing in paperwork that says anything about a warranty, very sneaky!!! Do not but from them!!! They sell used pieces of crap. I bought a 2014 Kia Rio at the end of 9/22, with 75K miles on it; for a pseudo-daughter of mine. Per the sales agent, an all points inspection was done, including brakes, with an oil and filter change. Fast forward to this year. I had to take the car back from my pseudo-daughter; as she could not make the payments. Check engine light comes on Thanksgiving day. Took it to the dealership and they said sludge in engine, needs replacement. They asked me, if I had the maintenance records for the warranty company. I was able to retrieve all of them. The oil was changed 4 times in 12 months, plus a full brake job. When looking at the first oil change it was only done 2000 miles after I bought it. It stated right on the invoice sludge in engine. Per the shop, they stated, if they would have changed the oil and the filter, they would have seen the gunk. it was clear as day. Also, having to replace pads and rotors only putting 2000 miles on it. They were scraping. On top of this debacle, the sales agent talked me into a 2K extended warranty and said it covered bumper to bumper. Well, it does not. The warranty company is denying my claim, because of sludge and in proper maintenance, when all the proper maintenance was done on our end. Kia is playing dumb. Now I have to pay 5K just to replace the engine and its not even a new one. READ the warranty they sell you. Look for the exclusions. I would also, seriously suggest you bring your own mechanic to check out the car, when buying from them. You should see the pictures from my current shop. The timing chain, looks like it has black electrical tape wrapped around it. That is how bad the sludge is. They said there is no way this was done by us. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I came in on 6/8 to look at a vehicle. After 15 minutes of waiting around, someone finally told us where the vehicle was. Luigi was the sales rep who came out and started the car, but as they were closing soon, he didn't offer to let us drive it. We went over the fact that we were not financing, but paying with cash and a trade-in. He looked at the trade-in and said he would call me on 6/9 with a price for the trade. We told him we were buying Saturday 6/10. He never called. We purchased from another dealer down the road and got great service. On Monday, 6/12, he called and left me a message about the car we had looked at. I called back and told him that we had already purchased one from down the road since he never called back. He then got irritated and asked why I had wasted his time. I told him we had already discussed when we were purchasing and he never got back with me. Then he said that it was our fault that we didn't come in to drive it. I said we were waiting for the phone call regarding the trade. He said nastily that they don't give trades over the phone. I explained we had already been there, he already looked at the vehicle and HE was the one who said he'd call back regarding the trade value on 6/9. This dealership was a complete waste of MY time. They were patient as things got faxed in from my insurance and other things, made my trade in super easy (and gave me more than I thought.) We purchased our Certified Used 2013 Kia Sorento in May of 2015 from Jeffrey Kia with around 33,000 miles. We purchased this car because of the 10-year or 100,000 mile power train warranty and the reassurance that the warranty brought with it. Fast forward to March of 2017 and I am driving down the highway when the "low oil-pressure" light comes on. I was able to get off at the next exit within a half mile only to have my car seize at the light. From there the car started back up with a loud clanging in the engine as it was driven and I pulled into a Walmart parking around the corner that had an oil shop within. They informed me that the engine had no oil and after calling Jeffrey Kia, I was told it needed to be towed to the dealership's shop. We had the car towed to the dealership and we were informed that the warranty should cover the issue; they just needed to look into what the problem was. A few days pass before we were called and told that they believed the engine failure was due to a faulty Kia part- the oil pressure switch- and that the adjuster was coming out and once he gave the "all clear" the car would be able to be fixed at no cost to us. The adjuster came out and Jeffrey Kia then informed us that the claim was denied- the engine was not covered and it would cost us $7,2000 out of pocket to replace the engine. We then called the Kia Customer Service line to find out what was going on and were informed that the warranty that was sold to us was, in fact, with a third-party warranty company by the name of Fidelity. We reviewed our warranty and, despite the warranty providing a definition of the word "We" as being Kia Motors America (where, for example, they stated within the warranty, "We will cover the cost of...), did find that in the very bottom corner was the name "Fidelity Warranty Services". Due to this bait and switch tactic, it was not Kia's problem and we had to take the issue up with Fidelity. The next round of calls was to Fidelity who informed us that they had not denied our claim but had rather asked the dealership to perform further diagnostic work to find out what the root cause was of the seized engine. Their opinion was, if it was in fact the oil pressure switch, they would not cover the engine replacement as the oil pressure switch is one of the only parts of the engine that is not covered under their warranty. Jeffrey Kia lied to us and said Fidelity had denied our claim. When we called Jeffrey Kia back we were told that it would be $800 to tear apart the engine to perform the requested diagnostic work and instead of asking for us to pay they just informed us the claim was denied. We didn't understand why, if the warranty company was requesting the diagnostic work, we would be responsible for paying the $800.00. We were told that if the underlying cause was not covered by the warranty, the diagnostic work also wouldn't be covered by the company. Why are we paying for a service being requested by the warranty company?? We have been going round and round in circles for months now trying to get this resolved. Our options are to pay the $185 diagnostic fee and take the car somewhere else to be fixed (where we've been quoted a total of $4,900-$5,200) or pay $1,6000 ($800 to tear the engine apart + $800 to put back together) for the diagnostic work in order to find out what the cause was unless it was determined the cause was miraculously covered by the warranty where we wouldn't be responsible for that cost. We feel we've been duped by this "warranty" that is painted to be this wonderful perk for buying "certified used" as it leads the consumer to believe it is a warranty through Kia, not Fidelity. We have been given the runaround by Kia, Jeffrey Kia, and Fidelity, and we're now stuck with a 4-year-old piece of metal that doesn't run due to a faulty Kia part and a shady dealership. read more
