My third update for Certified Motors, because I keep coming back and just can't say enough good things about them. I recently purchased my second car here, after the first met it's demise in an accident (RIP to my Malibu...we had some fun together.). Looking for a new car out of necessity and not choice can be a stressful experience. But coming here made it smooth as possible. I hadn't stepped foot on the lot in 5 years but the moment I returned they recognized me not only by name but remembering what kind of car I bought from them previously. Impressive! :) The lot isn't huge, but the inventory is always rotating. I was able to find a few good options that fit what I was looking for. Ray and Eric gave me open and honest assessments of each vehicle and, despite what other reviews have said, the Car Fax report was readily available to see for each of them. I test drove a couple options, and finally settled on an Impala that was in great shape with low mileage. The car looked great but I mentioned aloud how I wished it had a spoiler to look a little more sporty. The guys took note of my comment and immediately offered to work with me to get a spoiler ordered and put on, so I could have just the car I wanted. Fast and easy! After that they were able to take care of all the paperwork and title transfer, all I had to do was come back and pick up the car. One of the best things offers an excellent warranty on all of their vehicles that covers all major (and a lot of minor) issues. It came to good use with my old car, when the transmission needed replacing and I didn't have to come out of pocket so much as a penny for it! The warranty is not something you often find with a used vehicle, and it's definitely nice to have that extra peace of mind. The car these jokers sold me fell apart after the six months on the road. One thing after another. I thought they were so nice. I thought they would be there, because they made it sound like they were reliable. But it was more like sorry out of luck. I would sue, but how do people like me sue. Honestly, I would prefer public transportation over coming to Certified Junk Motors. Do NOT waste your money. They are soooo nice too, it is all a big lie. Do not help them make money off of you. I can't say enough or recommend more strongly Certified Motors for anyone who is looking for a preowned vehicle . I just recently purchased my 3rd vehicle from them! They may be in the used car business but they are definitely not your typical used car people! They value return customers they are professional and honest! They sincerely care about their customers & their situations! As naïve or dumb people may think this sounds - out of the 3 cars I have purchased from them I never test drove any of them that's how much I trust them! 1st car had for 10 years the 2nd car was my daughter's first car & we had it for 6 years & the 3rd car I just purchased was again for my daughter! This place could care less about the buyer and only interested in the money. After visiting the lot the owner let us know that there was 1 car in our price range. We kept in contact with the owner for days until the car was available for a test drive. During the test drive the owner let us know that the price of the car was higher than first stated. We stated that we call back later that day to ensure that we would be able to pay for the car the next day. An hour later we called back excited to confirm that we would pay extra to take the vehicle. The owner answered our call and told us he was busy doing business on the same car we were purchasing. The owner then called us back to let us know that he sold the car to a seller that gave him a better price. Never before have I done business with such a sleazy company. The owner knew that (as a collage kid) I was saving up for this and had already agreed to have this car ready for Saturday before starting my new job Monday. Really disappointed with the experience because the owners knew how invested we were in the car only to be cheated out last minute. I understand that their is a need to make a profit and business but the lack of respect and remorse they had was disrespectful. read more

About a month and a half ago I totaled my car. After fighting with the insurance company for more then a month to just have them total it out and one complaint with the commissioner of insurance later I was ready to purchase a new vehicle. I had my heart set on a 4x4, specifically a Jeep! Initially I was interested in the Jeep Patriot but after doing some research on the CVT transmission I decided to run not walk away from that model. I had always loved the look of the 03-07 Jeep Liberty and while doing my searches I found an 07 Jeep Liberty with 56k miles. I immediately do what we all do. I got really excited and it was all I could think about. I went to the place that was selling it (which will not be named here) on Thursday 03-31-16 and made an inquiry about the vehicle. They said they had it but they were taking it to the repair facility to have recall repairs done on it that never had gotten done. He took my name and phone number and said he would call me when it was back which would be Friday or Monday. The days passed and I heard nothing on Friday so on Monday I made it a point to go there right when they opened because I didn't want to take any chances of it getting sold. Long story made a little shorter they sold it to a person at the repair facility. I was feeling crushed to say the least. I decided to not let it get me down and just get right back down to the business of finding a vehicle. The very first search I did turned up my 06 Jeep Liberty Renegade with 51k miles from the fine folks at Certified Motors! I couldn't believe it. I called and spoke with Ray and he said the ad had just went up. He said he wasn't there yet but another employee Eric was. I rushed straight over! The lot is small and the lobby is quaint but sitting in the office looking around you can tell they take pride in what they do. Eric showed me the car. It was love at first sight. For the paperwork portion I had the pleasure of dealing with Ray and his wife Lori. Ray is a super nice guy, very helpful and informative. You can tell he truly does care about integrity and his reputation unlike the other place I had the displeasure of dealing with. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT GOING TO THIS PLACE!!!! I went here with my father a couple years ago because I was desperate for a new car. We saw a 2003 ford focus with 23,000 miles on it for roughly around $4,000. All of the other 2003 ford focuses we have seen were going for a higher dollar amount with way more mileage. Mind you, this car was almost 10 years old at the time we looked at it. Some thing seemed off. The assumed owner said nothing was wrong with it at all so we test drove it. We then decided to put a down payment on the car of $100 to secure our choice while we were deciding. The deposit was supposed to be non-refundable. BUT ALAS! My dad noticed a slight difference in the color blue from the panel on the door compared with the back bumper. Obviously this car was fixed up to look like there was nothing wrong with it. We then decided to check the car fax (which was not provided by this place- we had to pay for it) and THE CAR WAS FROM CANADA with no record of any accidents. My dad works for the auto industry and has for many years so this is some thing not to be taken lightly because cars coming from Canada to the United States DO NOT HAVE TO REPORT TO CARFAX. THIS PLACE IS SCAMMING THE SYSTEM!!! My dad called up the owner and sure enough he returned our check to us because he was caught! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED! read more

I arrived at Certified Motors in mid-April with a vehicle already researched online among others and after visiting other dealers. Their lot has high end used vehicles at good prices was clean and organized and had staff that were courteous, Professional and Knowledgeable. All initial good indicators of a well-run business. I checked out my future vehicle, took it for a test drive and was impressed by how it ran the good price I was offered along with a 3-year critical systems warranty AND a one-year maintenance program. With Ray Laurie and Eric, I did not have to employ the usual truth testing dialogue or subtle counter sales tactics to even begin or complete negotiation on this vehicle. They were straight up honest, answered questions quickly and even called the previous owner to verify additional information I had presented to them about the car before turning the keys over. Observing closely the way they conducted business between themselves and of their own personal accord without undue interest to outside influences and communications' while sincerely wanting to provide a good vehicle to me as well as the service was refreshing and gratifying. They sold me this car with my paperwork incomplete at the time and without my old vehicle present for trade in, which had to be towed to his lot while he was in the midst of a serious family issue he and his wife had to attend to in a different state the next day. It has been approximately 20 days since this purchase as I have been holding off on a testimonial seeing how this vehicle really operates. and it operates very well. Via this purchase, all of Certified Motors personnel went above and beyond what is a high bar of excellence for my personal expectation that is rarely exhibited in the auto dealership sales markets or any business market. BUYER BEWARE. Lesson learned: Don't buy the vehicle if it's Canadian!! You will run into a lot more problems than expected. The Carfax checked out clean, so that Canadian vehicle was purchased. But several issues occurred shortly after the purchase. Upon taking it into a mechanic, a lot of problems were discovered and the mechanic found that the bumper was not the original bumper and that the vehicle had previously been in an accident. They're very friendly, but I wouldn't buy a Canadian vehicle from them, knowing what I know now. read more

Like the previous poster, I too received a very crappy CA car from this dealership several years ago. It also was a too good to be true situation and ended up costing me several thousand dollars in repairs because the entire under part of the vehicle began to rust out. I had to replace almost all the parts under the car including all rods, ties, etc. and even wiring! I took it in to fix a damage to a drivers mirror when someone side swiped it in a lot. The man who fixed it and looked the car over gave me a run down of a host of problems with the vehicle due to a previous accident the car had obviously been in, and told me that the car had obviously experienced some severe water damage. Nothing like that showed up on the carfax (which was not supplied for me either). He also found out that the front drivers seat had been repaired with some scrap metal (possibly from the previous owner) and that the seat was unsafe. I took it in to someone else to verify and sure enough, I was told I would need to replace the front drivers seat and that they also saw signs of previous water damage on the vehicle. I am lucky I escaped that car alive given the fact that practically the entire floor under the drivers seat rusted out and the seat itself ended up failing. I will never go to this establishment again and I will surely never recommend it to anyone else ever again. I think the gentleman that worked with me to get the car seemed very nice, and I think that is was sucked me in. He was so kind hearted I wanted to believe he was honest. I forgot I was dealing with a salesman. Duh! read more
