I made an appointment easily online and was able to schedule a massage within 2 days! Carina gave me a 65 minute massage and it was soo nice. She talked me through a lot of the tightness and issues I was having. Don't get me wrong, the massage hurts - a lot. But it's good pain when they massage areas you are unable to with a massage roller/gun. Right after the massage, I scheduled my 2nd appointment!

I have lived with a horrible painful pinched nerve & muscle between my hip and leg for 5 years. Because I hurt so bad I would walk with a limp and my left knee would swell because of all the imbalance. Even after drs, X-rays, meds for pains, chiropractor and 2 other physical therapy companies. I could not get better. In fact I was getting worse every year. So after being referred to UC Davis sports medicine. The Dr told me he would send me to Kimes " they will get you better!" I got a referral with Dr. Julia Wright in August. Well its been 2 1/2 month. I saw Julia once a week, plus I did the recommended therapy at home. Scheduling an appointment online was quick and easy. I was able to schedule for the very next day. The place was very neat and clean. It was well lit. There was hardly any outside noise. Kristie explained how the whole process would go. Surprisingly, the scan only took about 5 minutes. The results were pulled up on a tablet, but she also gave me a print out and mentioned an app. Going over the results and getting questions answered took maybe 15 minutes. Kristie was super friendly and easy to talk to. She's great with conversation and answered all my questions. Parking can be a little difficult to find. There is street parking (with meters) and a paid parking lot available.

He is incredibly bright having done stints in both the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spine Clinic Departments at UC Davis and now we are lucky enough to have him in the Sports Medicine Clinic on C Street and at the Elk Grove Specialty Clinic too where he divides his time. Kind and really down to earth! Fixed the back up and now I need a knee turned up. I know he will do a thorough examination and give me his best advice. So not only is the medical part of the this clinic superb...but the administrative people are top notch! I called this morning and spoke with Caran...! As usual, she is professional, patient and kind in her phone interaction with me. Just made my day! Have dealt with her in the past at my Primary Care Physician's office where she was always such a joy with whom to work. Another one with the highest degree of professionalism yet makes you feel like you are someone special! After checking in at my PCP's office, I would sit in the waiting room until I was called...watching her do her magic with every, single patient who walked up to the desk. Sick, angry or happy...she encounters them all....! Oh did I mention in pain too? She is simply the best and perfect person to have greeting patients. Such a loss to have her leave that office. Yes the __same doctor__ and the same me. Apparently the same doctor is "not allowed" to talk to the same me about my spine in Sports Medicine or my shoulder in Spine. So two appointments a week apart and one requires a 1 hour drive each way. Evidently no one at UC Davis understands skeletal biology?! I haven't even been seen yet and have to think this place is stupid!

It's a relatively busy office, as they take a variety of insurance, including Kaiser. They will charge you a surcharge to use your card, so you may want to use cash if you want to avoid that. Waiting area is not the cleanest, but servicable. My accupuncturist felt like she knew what she was doing - Once she understood I have come in for teeth grinding issues, she could see that I grinded more on my left than my right side. She said she was unable to find the billing code for the teeth grinding, so she put it in as headaches. I didn't have any qualms with that. I think I still grind, but my masseter muscle doesn't feel as hard or strong so I do think the accupuncture did help. I plan on going back if the muscle tenses back up.
