My wife was willing to get her tubes tied, but after four children she has done more than her fair share in building our family. It was my turn, and time for a vasectomy. The thought of it made me cringe. I couldn't even read about the different procedures without getting queasy. In my research I read a lot about the no scalpel method, and Dr Rumohr came highly regarded. I was in the office for another procedure and asked that they call me to schedule because I knew I'd never proactively do it myself. A week later they called, and we got scheduled. The day before the procedure I freaked out and had tons of questions. They split my appointments so I could get some time with the Doc prior. After coming in for the consultation I was put fully at ease. The staff was super attentive and not judgmental about a grown man being a huge baby. Dr Rumohr has an amazing bedside manner, and didn't seem to be bothered by me asking several follow up questions. Very personable, confident, and clearly experienced. I knew I was in good hands. Today I took the Valium, had my wife drive me in, and prepared for what I thought was going to be crazy pain. I was completely wrong. I opted for the nitrous, well worth the extra fee by the way, and about 20 minutes later I was heading home. No real pain, nothing crazy to write about. I have a week to get back to being semi normal still, but I'm quite confident this was the best decision both in procedure (no scalpel) and Doctor. Very impressed, and will recommend Dr Rumohr to all of my buddies that were waiting and watching how I handled it. If you're looking for a vasectomy, this is your doctor!

After waiting for weeks for the call, I called them to find out they had no record of the referral. I had the referral sent again, filled out forms, and now I've been waiting for a week for a scheduling call back after I was told they would call back in a day or two. I can't seem to reach anyone via phone. They suggest trying the "chat" on the website but after waiting for a bit it just says "Sorry! Could not connect you to an agent, please try again." Recognition also to Ann! Ann is more than just the 'surgery scheduler'- she made the time to come out and speak with me and bring her skills to answer questions around a new surgery. When they do…read moreanswer they ask you questions about your symptoms and say they will give a message to a provider and will call back. They do not call back. When I call back days later (trying to be patient and polite) they don't believe me saying I never left a message or they never got a message. Then they never have appts available. The nurse speaks so rudely and gets defensive. I have the phone record to prove my calls she said I must be calling before 8am if the line won't ring, my call log clearly shows 8:00 and 8:01 and 8:02 and so on I can try this for days with it never ringing just an automated message that doesn't connect. Even for days calling at 11am and 1pm on weekdays. I wish I recorded my call Monday when their representative asked my symptoms and said a message would be sent and I'd receive a call back, I have two long call logs that day. I also asked for my (urgent) prescription to be sent to a CVS instead of Walmart and they never did or wrote it down even though she asked me for the address and phone number and spelled it back. They take forever for prescription refills, I mean forever. I've been dealing with them for about 8mos. Honestly the worst thing and last straw for me today was the snarky rude person on the phone that acted like it's not her problem that their phone person never gave her my message and implied that the conversation never happened. Now they have promised to call me back today to schedule the next available appt. I doubt it will ever happen. And if I call back to say hey nobody called? They will say "oOh nOt My FaUlT i NeVeR gOt A mEsSaGe To" I've gone to a lot of Dr offices, this place takes the cake in the WORST. Save yourself the hassle, go somewhere else.
