Great doc. Unsafe facility for crips. "Team" can't refill a standing prescription to save my life.read more

Honestly the only reason I come to this facility is because my PCP is here and I've been his…read morepatient since before I had need for specialists. He's amazing and would get five stars on his own. Unfortunately... the rest of the place leaves something to be desired. The front desk staff is overwhelmingly Christian, which is perhaps to be expected from a pseudo-Catholic hospital affiliate. I'm sure that's great for their mental health, if not their eternal souls, but it does leave one with the issues one generally has with loudly-Christian folk, including self-righteousness, ableism, and homophobia. They've recently taken down the "inspirational" (read: prejudiced) printouts wallpapering many cubicles so we'll see how that goes. I have not had much luck here with specialists: My wife, a friend, and I have been refused exams (by different doctors) because of being overweight. I was told "fat people have pain" as if I am too stupid to tell the difference between mild arthritis and a displaced kneecap. Whoopsie! My wife was accused of drug-seeking after a brutal car accident; I got the same from a different doctor because I worked at a pharmacy for years and used the word "drug" instead of "medication" to describe my super-exciting and TOTALLY recreational cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Despite a pair of vicious surgery scars, I was informed that the surgery I had didn't exist. After I paid out of pocket for copies of 24-year-old paper medical records from a non-affiliated hospital, the doctor acknowledged that I had had the surgery but I just didn't know the right name for it. She refused to tell me the "correct" name. I could go on, and I could name names, but the bottom line is that this is a PERVASIVE issue in the culture of the practice. Patients are treated more like enemy combatants than partners in healthcare. There is a saying or belief in Baltimore about doctors. You go to Hopkins if you're good enough You go to University of Maryland if you can stand the politics You go to Mercy if you can stand the religious culture You go to GBMC if you can't stand either You go to MedStar if no one else will hire you ...Overlea just so often fails to live up to Mercy's place on that list.

Dr. Bradford Ebright is a good doctor. However, some the office staff, especially those making…read morefinancial policies, are extremely obnoxious and offputting. They actually wanted me to give them my credit card number for the file so they could just charge me as they pleased. They are delusional. They care more about a $38 bill, just over 30 days old, than they care about the results of the care that they failed to provide on my last visit. They haven't called me to follow up on my illness, just to collect their fee. I do not recommend this practice any more. Everyone who went there on my recommendation has subsequently left. I'm the last holdout and I am fed up. I have been a patient of Chapel View for over a decade. It seems that when you need them the most, their priority is getting paid, not serving your need. I was feeling very bad in the winter of 2017 when I, at the suggestion of a colleague, checked my blood pressure with a wrist cuff. It was pretty high but I didn't trust the cuff so I called Chapel View. All I needed was a quick blood pressure check but, the receptionist insisted that it was not possible without an appointment. She insisted that they couldn't accommodate my request. My blood pressure was getting worse through this experience so I went to the ER. Upon arrival in the ER, my blood pressure was 215/130. My point is that customer service takes a back seat to cashflow at Chapel View. I I'm sending them a check today for $38 and looking for another doctor. You see ladies, I have a choice and I choose to end my relationship with Chapel View Family Care.

They do not care about you or your loved one, they only care about the money. I would not recommend making an appointment with Dr. Vissing…read more I scheduled and appointment for myself to establish a new primary care physician Dr. Vissing came in, read from the history in my pre-registration form, did a physical, and asked if I had any issues and if I wanted bloodwork. No attempt to establish any type or patient/physician relationship. I described the only issue I have been having, and he prescribed me an anti-depressant because it would also help with my symptoms, although I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms associated with depression. Understandable that medicine can be used for treatment of other things. Totally irresponsible to prescribe me a new medication that is known to have side effects that can alter your brain chemistry and then tell me to schedule a follow-up in ONE YEAR. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the rest of the staff was fantastic

We've been with Clinical Associates since the mid '90's. I like my primary care physicians and the…read moreother specialists I've seen at the site. However, over the last 6 months, I have experienced MANY office communication problems. This is across the board with specialists and primary care physicians. The providers' staff DO NOT return phone calls or respond to messages. I had to physically walk into the back of my primary doctor's office, (without an appointment, and no one at the front desk) to get a referral for PT after calling four times with the request. The nurse was concerned she hadn't gotten the messages, and I showed her my call log to verify the contacts. This is just one example, we have had three other concerning encounters involving cancelled appointments (on their end), records not being forwarded to specialists outside the site, and an inability to schedule or reschedule appointments as no one returns our calls. Primary doctors and nurse practitioners retire or resign and there are no replacements, the existing doctors are stretched thin. We unfortunately, after 30+ years, will be looking for a location.
