Turns out the new ownership and vibe was not only just what we were looking for, but something we don't really have on this side of town. Anyways, Thirsty Thursday rolls around, and lo and behold, we pile in en masse nearly doubling the patronage, but no loss in quality of service, even when the regulars flooded in later in the night. Great vibe, pool tables, skeeball, touchtunes jukebox, great drink specials, nice people (both patrons and the bartenders). Fun, dive bar type atmosphere but clean and respectable. We will be returning, often. We might have found our new favorite dive on this side of town.

We got the hand tossed because the kids would like it better. So to the Heckler crew, thank you for keeping it simple. This visit I had the Fried Pickles which if being honest were good but they're not the best I've had. If I could give a recommendation I would move away from the breading that's being used as I feel it takes away from the actual pickle which for me is about 90% of the taste profile. The breading was a bit overpowering. Sometimes simple is better. But that's just my opinion as a fried pickle enthusiast. Now as for the pizza, I have to give a solid high five. I've been here three times and everytime I've gotten a pizza and none have disappointed. This time around I got the meat lovers and it was fresh, and delicious. Overall, Heckler is a great place to go and one thing I do love about this place is that it's always a chill vibe, with great service.
