I like it, but not a whole lot to say about it. A private club, so you have to give them your personal info. They have a pretty decent selection of beers, full bar and no food. Pool tables are in pretty good shape and the music seems to be at least mediocre except for the karaoke, which was pretty awful the night I went, lol. I'll be back when in the area.

Tony the bartender was very patient with my request for a flight of local beer with no IPAs or hoppy beers. He picked out: 2: Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush, 3. Waterline Kolsh, 4. Teaches Peaches, 1. Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst. I was familiar with the first three and loved them. I jokingly refer to Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush as creamsicle beer. It isn't too sweet, but the Orange flavor is quite strong. The Waterline Kolsh is light and very easy to drink. The Teaches Peaches is one of my favorites due to its light fruity flavor. The Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst was a wildcard in Tony's lineup. This sour was a refreshing way to mix up my beer tasting. My friend also got a flight and didn't like one of the beers he chose. Tony swapped it out for a different beer as soon as I told him and the new one was well-received. My favorite part of this visit was that Tony decided to bring me a sample of the 8. Firestone Walker Mind Haze, because it was a non-hoppy IPA and he thought I might like it. It wasn't my fave, but I really appreciated the opportunity to try something new. I snacked on free popcorn all during my visit. The popcorn machine is in the back. Also in the back are single-stall restrooms. Tavern Law has an A+ in my book because they have great local beer on tap and they are gay friendly.

Had the pleasure of walking into Sport's Connection and being charged $25 for a "new membership…read morefee" according to the bouncer, Ray. I had no issue with this at all, went to the ATM to get the required funds and came back. I had my homie who was already inside to meet up with me so we could get clarification on the price of the membership. I noticed a guy who was already seated at the bar hold his hand up toward me to indicate the price he paid was $5 not $25. Regardless the bouncer told me that if I caused any problems he'd quote: "run my ass out". He then agreed to lower the price back down to the original price of $5, and informed me that the future cost of new memberships is $25. He handed me the clipboard to sign up, but I let him know I wasn't there to cause any problems, humbly thanked him for his cooperation and left instead of paying or signing up for anything. Despite me leaving without causing any trouble, and even thanking the bouncer, Ray for his cooperation, my homie let me know that upon me leaving Ray said "he was tired of niggas coming in and startin sh*t." Hmmm.... Pretty sure I'll never step foot in Sport's Connection in Hamlet, NC. Lesson learned

Dirtbags came to our rescue and said that they would be the hub for our crowd coming through and they did that by changing their hours of operation to accommodate the guests that we're passing through the place technically is a bar, but it has a total family atmosphere and they operate like family. They started as two veterans with a vision and they have a heart of gold.
