Phoenix Feather is the best choice I could have made musically for my 2 kids…read more Originally when my oldest was 6, I started her in private piano lessons. It was so boring for her. My piano repair man recommended Phoenix Feather and while it was farther than I was currently driving, I tried it because the school has been open for so many years. The group lesson is amazing! Both of my kids were so much more engaged in a group lesson, they see other kids' triumphs and struggles and they want to keep up with course. Ms. K is really energetic and engaging with the kids. It is a rigorous class but Ms. K has SO MANY TOOLS on her website to help your student thru any difficulty. The parent does not need to be a piano player for your child to succeed in this class. I'm forever grateful for this program.

K for 4.5 years (so close to finishing the program, but alas, they decided to pursue other areas of music a couple of years ago). We loved this program so much and Mz. K's incrediby effective teaching style! We knew from the get-go that our children would likely not become classical pianists, but we wanted to instill in them an appreciation of music and an understanding of how to read music. The group keyboarding lessons are perfect for that, and they are also a great foundation for more serious students as well. Mz. K has been teaching for over 30 years and has built a time-tested program that works! Mz. K might be considered a strict teacher, but we appreciated her firm guidance which showed how much she cares about her students and their learning.

Just choose the instrument, the condition, and size if applicable. Add insurance to make things worry free, sign the contract, and you are done. If you go directly to Betrand's (not by link), they have a great deal where you can rent for 9 months and get 1 month free. That's enough for the school year. The instruments they rent out are the real deal. Not the cheap imitations you see on Amazon. A couple of days later, I get a call from Kira letting me know my rental is processed and ready to be picked up. The location is convenient and has ample parking. We get to the store and see that they are very well organized and knowledgeable. I may have paid a bit more per month than going through IPSF but it's 100% worth it. IPSF is a waste of time and they are not organized. What IPSF does is have you keep checking with them over and over again. Like others have mentioned, Bertrand's is a breath of fresh air. Pro-Tip: Don't use the link provided by IPSF. Deal directly with Bertrand's. There is zero hook up with the IPSF link.
