We were VERY lucky to get Jen to not only photograph our wedding at Descanso Gardens, but to even shoot our engagement session as well. Being quite honest.... normally, I'm very self conscious about being photographed and my husband usually has the relaxation of a statue, but Jen was a dream, she made my husband and I feel confident and very comfortable during the shoot. We hired Jen Castle and her team for our Oct 2013 wedding. She came recommended from a mutual friend, so we trusted the friend and met with her. Great decision on our part :). I have hired Jen Castle four times in the past year, and I have never been disappointed. I love her work. Her eye is great, her style is killer awesome, and her location ideas are different and cool. I just hired Jen as my wedding photographer and she was AWESOME!! Surpassed my wildest dreams of what our photographs could be. She has such an eye for things that is so unique, creative and amazing. She captured elements and architecture that I never noticed before-for example: My wedding was a block party on the street I grew up on. Jen did the photography for my fall wedding and her work is amazing. We met with a handful of photographers and she was head and shoulders above everyone else. She wasn't cheesy and didn't need any hand-holding. She also got the vibe we were going for (backyard BBQ - not elegant or formal) and I knew she'd be able to capture it. She can do the fancy stuff, too, as you can see from her website, but that's not what I wanted. Jen instantly makes you feel comfortable and works within your limitations. My husband and I are neither very photogenic nor very natural/comfortable in front of a camera, and she figured out how to make us look great. She also has an incredible eye.
