I would strongly caution anyone considering this office. My daughter came in with severe pain in her molar. Dr. Jeng confirmed she needed a root canal and even offered to perform it the same day since she was in tears. Unfortunately, his receptionist, Jennifer, stopped him and insisted our insurance wouldn't cover the procedure. She instead referred us to a specialist, claiming it would be "significantly less." After calling our insurance, I learned this was not true. Our insurance is in network and would have covered a portion of the procedure had Dr. Jeng performed it in office. Instead, we ended up at the specialist the next day, paying $1,400 (after a 25% insurance discount). A general dentist would have cost less, and most importantly, my daughter suffered an additional day of unnecessary, excruciating pain. Even Jeng said it would have cost $1000 if I paid him cash. When I left a voicemail expressing my concern, the response I received from Jennifer was dismissive and unhelpful, simply suggesting I call my insurance company. No apology, no ownership, and no attempt to make things right. This is ultimately Dr. Jeng's responsibility. Hiring staff who provide inaccurate information that delays treatment and increases patient costs is unacceptable. I will be filing a grievance with my insurance provider regarding this office. read more

‼Run if you don't want him to take your money‼‼!! ‼I came in for something cosmetic. Only thing is they asked for the money up front. Which I thought was not normal. And when I asked why? They said they needed the money so they can " start" working on it. So I thought hmm maybe something changed so I paid the $700 that they asked for . After I left something didn't sound right. I called my insurance because that did not sound right. Comes to find out My insurance said no. They are supposed to do their job then send the amount to the insurance company. Long story they got caught I called them out cheng was so upset because I told him I would put him on blast!! he literally gave me my money back $ 700 immediately lol he said I'll give you the money back right now just don't say anything!!! Like wait why would he just give me $700 right?? If you did no wrong?I let my insurance know about this and apparently they do this all the time. anywho i have kept all my messages! ‍ moral of story don't try and take peoples money without treating them first!!! read more

I don't like the fact that they put me with Dr Lee his wife or any other doc when I wanted to have my treatment with Dr Jeng. All the time I had the filling and scaling by the doctor other than Dr Chester Jeng was unsatisfactory. I still feel the unpolished filling particles between my tooth. Rude and unprofessional service received from Jennifer. I have filed a grievance with my insurance company due to my experience with this office. Of note, my horrible experience with this office and poor rating is only because of the front receptionist, Jennifer. I did not see Dr. Jeng. I did see one of the other dentists and had no problems with his professionalism. The dental assistant was also very friendly. Where do I begin? DR Jeng and his staff not only took me in last minute for a double emergency root canal, but they were quick, easy to work with, and very professional. What impressed me the most is how the dr took time out of his busy day to call in emergency antibiotics /pain reliever when I couldn't make it in to the office in time to treat an infected tooth. He and his staff went above and beyond to assist me with my dental problems. The office is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located fairly close to the freeway. I have been going to Dr Jeng a little over a year, I get my temperature taken every time. Once it was a little high but Jennifer noticed I had been sitting in hot car on phone so we waited a few minutes and took it again and it was normal. It's a very professional well run office , totally tuned in to Covid and they all were protective masks, gowns, gloves. If I had a fever no matter what, it wouldn't be Dr Jeng's fault , it is what it is. Too bad if someone drove too far , they missed a chance to see a great dentist and staff. I was in town for the funeral of my mother-in-law. The day before I was supposed to fly home, I came down with a massive toothache. It was suggested that I try to see my mother-in-law's former dentist to see if they could help. It was just about closing time, but they kept their office open to see me, took x-rays, determined I needed a root canal, wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and pain pills for flying the next day and only charged me for an office visit! Everyone has had their experiences with tooth pain, but not everyone has had an experience with tooth pain the week everyone was to self-quarantine due to the coronavirus and businesses were shutting down. That was the situation that I was in. I had excruciating pain and needed to find a dentist ASAP as I needed to have a root canal. I called around to a few dentists on yelp and many of the dentists were reluctant to see me as the "self-quarantining" idea was new and many people didn't know what to do. After calling Dr. Jeng's office and speaking with his staff, they told me that I could be seen the same day as they could tell I was in a lot of discomfort. They obviously took extra precautions (like taking my temperature, etc), but it was so comforting to know that with businesses shutting down and people self-quarantining, Dr. Jeng's and his staff were able to see me. Highest Recommendation to Dr. Jeng and his exceptional staff. Oh by the way, although no one looks forward to a root canal, my surgery at Dr. Jeng's office was quick and I was pleasantly surprised to not experience much pain after the procedure. read more

My family has been looking for a new Dentist for quite some time now. It was challenging to do so with covid and with three young kids that are terrified of the Dentist. On our first consultation at the Tustin location, the staff and Dr. Jeng were so welcoming and kind. I can't say enough about their professionalism and knowledge. The kids said that their procedures were painless and did not cry or scream. My oldest no longer hesitates to inform me when a tooth hurts so that I can make an appointment. Also, we appreciated all the safety measures the office had in place including air purifiers, hand sanitizers, sanitized pens, etc. Although filling out the relevant covid forms and taking temperature checks does take time, I appreciate the fact that the office is diligent in strictly adhering to the safety guidelines.
