Dr. Irwin's office feels like a well run ship. I've appreciated how friendly, attentive and professional Dr. Irwin and his staff are. After moving out of Orange County for a while and returning, I tried another dentist closer by. This one had a newer/fancier office, but after a year or so decided to drive a little further to go back to Irwin because of their better level of care. I had an unusual condition of internal resorption on one tooth and Dr. Irwin took time to carefully and clearly explain the condition, its severity, the x-rays, and referred me to a local endodontist for further treatment. read more

The front office experience here is the worst! Brandy is a rude, passive aggressive receptionist that is triggered easily when confronted with her errors. She combined my adult daughter's bill with my bill, which is a violation of HIPPA (thinking about reporting it) to try and get my daughter to pay my bill. Once my daughter called her out on it, she got defense and rude. She corrected it but then tried to redirect the blame because I hadn't paid my bill yet. I tried to make an appointment today and was told I'd have to pay my bill up front and they would reimburse me AFTER they got their money from my insurance. I asked if this was a new policy and she said they do it for patients who were "almost" sent to collections. Which is interesting because I made my payments and was never told at anytime I was going to be sent to collections. I'm pretty sure they fired Brandy at one point, not sure why they brought her back but Dr Irwin just lost 3 patients today. It should be noted that the rest of the staff is great, but Brandy is a liability, definitely not an asset. read more

I have been going to this dentist my whole life. They have always been so kind, professional, and personable. They office is always very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend coming here. If you have kids it is a great spot for them. There is a toy box for the kids to choose something out of at the end of the appointment. That was the best part when I was younger! read more

I've been going to Dr. Irwin's since I was a teenager. Dr. Irwin, Hislena, Gina (my former hygienist), Julie, Lucia, Cindy (the former receptionist) and Brandi have always displayed the highest level of professionalism and skill as well as friendliness. I hadn't been to the office in quite some time due to financial constraints. After going to another dentist who I was able to see through the insurance I had purchased earlier this year through Covered California and finding out I needed a root canal and crown, I decided just to go back to Dr. Irwin even though it meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket. I simply had more confidence in their work and was much more comfortable having those procedures as well as any other work done there. They were extremely gracious in putting together a payment arrangement (as they had also been in the past) and accommodating me in every way. I actually ended up just cancelling my dental insurance a few days ago even though it was only $9 a month as my teeth and oral health are too important to take chances with (which I've been unfortunately reminded of by my recent experiences). I would unhesistatingly recommend Irwin Dentistry to anyone who wants to get quality work done by people they can trust. read more

I've been visiting Dr. Irwin for 20+ years!! I was just a little dude when he first started dentisting under the wise guidance of his pops, Dr. Ray. Dr. Steve has seen me through lost baby teeth, retainers, and 5 cavities! Let's get real though. As much as I'd like to say "I just love the way my dental hygienist scrapes my teeth with shards of metal"... I can't. I hate it. The feeling makes my teeth curl (which makes it all the more difficult for the lovely folks at Irwin Dentistry). But I'll say this: the people at Irwin Dentistry are nice and professional, and I totally trust them. So if you HAVE to get some preemptive care for your teeth (no one likes a dirty mouth!), I'd recommend this crew! I've been coming to Dr. Irwin for 10 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. He's kind, humble, all around great person but most of all amazing dentist. He has the newest technology and that's a big plus. He has this tool called "the wand" and omg you will never feel the needle when you're getting numbed up. I was in search of a new dentist as my family had a very difficult time with a previous caregiver. Without denigrating the previous dentist, Steve listened to our concerns and provided his professional recommendations and options. He's never pushed any service on us, and (quite the contrary) has recommended a patient approach where a potential issue resolved itself. Even though he could have "drilled and billed" and I would have never known any difference, his expertise saved me some $$$ while costing him some short-term income. I'm sure he'll earn it from me 10x over in the future as he's earned my trust. I appreciate his honesty and integrity and will continue to recommend him to others. Best dental service I've ever received ! The staff is very friendly, compensated all my needs and worries in the chair. They have many amenities like pillows, blankets, and even Solo Beats wireless headphones. I've never felt more comfortable in an office. I've been coming to Dr. Irwin's office for over 30 years. (Originally seen by his Dad Ray before him) I've recommended many friends and colleagues to them over the years and they have all had fantastic experiences. Just recently my own kids started seeing Dr. Irwin and although they would say the toy prizes are they best part of going to the dentist, they all have had positive experiences with the hygienists and Dr. Irwin so I'm happy to have such a great resource nearby. When I was younger I used to get cavities somewhat regularly and then I started coming every 4 months rather than every 6 months. So although it's it little extra out of pocket to do this I've saved tons of money over the years by keeping my teeth in good shape!! I can't imagine going to another dentist. I've been a patient of Dr. Irwin for as long as he has been practicing dentistry. In fact, I was a patient of his father's going as far back as the early 80s when I was in elementary school. I have never had anything but good experiences with everyone who works there. I live in Long Beach so driving to La Habra isn't close but it's worth the drive. I've had other dentists before but only very briefly because my experiences were so negative in comparison. I started going to Dr Irwin last year after a really horrible experience with our last dentist (my son's filling was so poorly done it caused a deep infection in his root of the molar, and other problems of my own). I brought my son in and Dr Irwin took the time to sit down and have a personal conversation in his office, which was such a nice change from our old dentist. He assessed the problem and gave us options. We went forward with an extraction and space-maintainer device. The whole experience was awesome. Very professional and the results have been great.
