So when I left the Atlanta history center and saw it on the side, there was no denying the gravitational pull. The really nice girl working behind the counter suggested I tried the white chocolate peppermint, which is honestly a flavor I would never go for. It is outstanding! I put that with a scoop of the Texas Sheet Cake and I was a happy camper! We live Jeni's and we do not have one in our home town, so we always seek them out whenever we are on the road. The Paces Ferry location did not disappoint. The whole area has a cool vibe as does the small ice cream shop. We love that Jeni's has awesome flavor with chunks of tummy goodness. My husband loves the brown butter almond brickle with bits of toffee in it. I love the ooey gooey butter cookie with yummy chunks of cake in it. This ice cream shop has a sense of whimsy and wonder unlike any other. The inside is adorned with colorful paper chains and hanging stars alongside large scale images of ice cream. There is some indoor seating, including bench booths, tables, and counter space. There are also a few benches outside if it isn't too cold. Since it's in a shopping center, parking is ample. The line at Jeni's can get long so don't be scared if you see it out the door. It moves quickly! A highlight of this chain is that you can get a single scoop of ice cream composed of two half scoops, allowing you to have more flavors. You can also try flavors, which are served on a small metal tasting spoon. A nice touch. On this outing, I went with a half scoop of the Double Dough and a half scoop of the Blackout Chocolate Cake. The Double Dough might just be my all time favorite ice-cream flavor. It's a better version of a classic cookie dough, using, you guessed it, double the dough. This always for nice large chunks throughout, giving a high contract to the cold ice cream and chewy cookie dough. I had never tried the Blackout Chocolate Cake before but also found it to be exceptional. I usually stick with the Darkest Chocolate, but found this to be a more flavorful, chocolatier substitute. I love me some artisan ice cream! Glad we went here for dessert instead of staying at the overhyped Garden Room. The line wasn't too bad when we got in and there is limited indoor seating. The staff were all very patient and friendly despite the fact they were getting busier closer to closing time. They have a long freezer, but it really is just the same thing on each side. All the flavors I tasted were yummy, it was hard to choose. And they all have different textures! I love that they top off the scoops with their homemade waffle crisp. I went to the Buckhead location and it was clean, easy to park, bright and the staff were very welcoming. I mean 5 stars across the board. Came in on a Saturday night for a late night treat after dinner. The line was almost out the door but it moved quickly. I think their system was down because they were only accepting cash only. Half of the line left which made it go by even faster. The girls behind the counter were friendly. As busy as it was, they let you get a sample of the ice cream before you purchased it which was awesome. There's many ways you can try their ice cream. Two scoops, three scoops, a flight. Hey, sky is the limit. I hate that they ran out of waffle bowls. That would've really made my day! As far as the ice cream i opted for the biscuits with the boss and brown butter almond brittle. Both were delicious but if i had to pick a winner out of the two then I'd choose biscuits with the boss. It melted in my mouth so smooth and i kept wanting more! My husband opted for the brambleberry crisp and gooey butter cake. If he had to choose, gooey butter cake won by a landslide but both flavors were delicious! Cute ice cream spot. I was visiting Atlanta and was brought here. The staff was super nice and helpful. Most of the flavors I've never heard of so I did a lot of tasting before actually ordering. I ended up getting a bowl with 2 flavors which were lemon bar and Hot Toddy Sorbet (I think that was the name of it. Both flavors were really good especially the lemon bar. They have 1 or 2 outdoor tables too They sell merchandise, ice cream to go & cones/bowls and waffles for eating there or to go. I got the bruleed banana & cinnamon roll on a waffle cone for $6.50. Not as much ice cream as Bruster's or cold stone will give you but it's absolutely delicious. Both flavors were really good but I think the banana was my favorite of the two! Be ware of the tip screen when you pay as the have the highest tip amount on the left which you might accidentally click. The dairy free chocolate ice cream had a como it taste like an almond joy. The brambleberry ice cream tasted fruity and like a pie, and personally my favorite out of the two. The cone didn't taste very good and I wouldn't get it again.
