Hello- Came here after a night out, came for vanilla ice cream, tried a couple of flavors and left with a few flavors: vanilla(4/5), chocolate(5/5), bramble berry (2/5) my boyfriend likes it I just don't care for something with that texture. They have a soda named Pink champ, and to me... it is not good. Tried to like it but even with the ice cream( as it mentions it should be paired with) it just isn't good; if it is supposed to be refreshing... it's not :( I liked my experience last time, I got more ice cream as you can see in my first picture. This time the person who scooped my ice cream gave me different sizes which left me feeling cheated, which is weird because the customer service was good so don't understand why the lack of ice cream In the end, there are other shops that do it better, I'm a big softie for take home pints and delicious I would come back if I was solely going for that chocolate ice cream... that transcended the weird serving sizes . Did not hit the mark this time 4/5

As the great Benjamin Franklin said, "Nothing is certain except death and taxes... and brambleberry crisp is the best ice cream flavor there is". Jeni's aside, even this particular location aside, any jeni's is worth visiting because of the immaculate invention that is "brambleberry crisp". The beautiful marriage of a tart berry, with sweet ice cream, and a nice crunch of oven-toasted oat streusel. Sorry, I have to stop writing this review before I run out of saliva because I'm salivating as I'm writing this.

OMG! Can you believe this is my first time here? And, I'm trying their new flavors sweet potato marshmallow & brown butter almond brittle ...it's amazing and guaranteeing THIS will not be my last time. This location was very accommodating. I got to try a few different flavors before making my selection. Nice convenient location, plenty of seating and quick service. The small cup with half & half was a satisfying portion.

Jeni's might be a chain, but it sure is a great one! The ice cream served here is as good as any other you've had, including local places. The strawberry ice cream tastes like cold fresh strawberries. The dark chocolate is decadent. Even the dairy free flavors like Texas sheet cake are better than most other ice creams I've had. There's not a bad selection. Bring a friend and order a flight. The interior is small but spacious enough to hold a small line. Seating is available outside on the sidewalk to eat. There's enough space that pedestrians won't get in the way. Parking is on the street and free during certain hours. Staff is nice and happy to let you sample as many flavors as you'd like, within reason. They're a friendly bunch and you'll wish more restaurants had such a nice service staff.

Sooo.... I see Jeni's all over social media and I've always been curious. I'm pretty sure if I wanted a pint, I could buy some at Whole Foods but am I really going to go to a grocery store I don't frequent that often for some ice cream I've just heard is good? No. This Jeni's happened to be across the street from the restaurant I decided to celebrate my birthday at so when we didn't eat dessert at the restaurant, we decided to stop in an take a scoop with us back to the hotel. The shop was clean and the people working were very friendly. They were super generous with their samples and quick and efficient with their service. Not going to lie, maybe it was the flavors I picked, I wasn't a huge fan. I've had better. The hype isn't real. Now was it good ice cream? Absolutely. If I lived near one would this be where I get my ice cream? Maybe. But would I NEEEEED to have this shipped to my home from Ohio? No. That being said, it was good and a bit naughty. I wanted a scoop but one scoop is two so I got more ice cream than I would have allowed myself after such a big meal. Nom nom.

If I ever move out of Atlanta, I will have this ice cream shipped to me monthly. Location and Parking Jeni's has several locations, but this one is near Kroger on Glenwood. The parking situation is slim, but street parking is available, as well as a parking lot caddy corner to the spot. Venue and Atmosphere The shop is inviting with a bright white interior and benches inside and out if you want to relax while you enjoy dessert. You basically go through the line, order your scoops, and pay at the end. There is a freezer full of pints as well. Food and Beverages Best. Ice cream. Ever. I got the buttermilk frozen yogurt (BFY), milkiest chocolate, and Wildberry Lavender. The tastes are bold, delicious, and they really do taste like the descriptions, unlike other brands (I'm looking at you Private Selection). If I could have a trunkful of Watermelon Taffy to last an entire year, I would. The flavors are unique, but they do offer samples so you don't have to commit. Service The ice cream barista (what do they call them these days?) was cheerful and let me taste 5 samples without feeling rushed. Verdict I run to Jeni's every time I go grocery shopping... so that tells you everything you need to know.

I'm so glad that I'm over that gawd-awful dairy-free phase of my life. Idk what made me go all Gwyneth Paltrow on my diet, but I'm so glad to be back in the arms of gluttony. Because now, now I have been blessed with Jeni's. I have a history with ice cream. My first real job was at a particular ice cream chain that mixes their ice cream on a cold marble slab - wink wink. So I'd like to think that I've tried LOTS of ice cream, like, I'm 5 seconds from turning into a double scoop of Salted Caramel ice cream! (I think that would be my flavor... or Mango Shock or something) So when I first had a pint of Jeni's ice cream, I knew I had come across some of the best ice cream I've had the privilege to enjoy. I started with the "Brown Butter Almond Brittle" when I was in Florida and started coming across the pints. After my first spoonful, I was in love. So decadent, so rich and creamy! The ice cream is packed with flavor and my personal fave, chunks of brown butter and almond brittle - omggg. How did they get all that flavor in that lil ol' pint?! Once I had the first pint, I couldn't stop and picked one up on probably every grocery visit after, lol. And what happens when I make the move to fabulous Georgia? I GET TO HAVE JENI'S IRL! Bless you, Atlanta, for this sweet gift. I recently joined the line of eager folks with their sweet tooth guiding them towards their scoop or cone of choice for a Sunday treat. The team moved everyone along briskly and even gave me a quick sample or two since I'm so indecisive (smh). I loved each one that I tried more than the last!! I went with Sweet Cream Biscuits & Peach Jam + Wildberry Lavender and I wanted to risk it all for another cone before I even got to truly walk off. Jeni's - keep making life sweeter for us all!

Jeni's new Glenwood Park location. Storefront. Free street parking.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams continues to cement their status in Atlanta with this new location in Glenwood Park on the east side of Atlanta. They're right across the street from celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie's popular restaurant Gunshow. Since the opening of the first Jeni's location at Westside Provisions District in October 2013, this Ohio-based boutique ice cream chain now has seven locations spread throughout the Atlanta metro. This Glenwood Park location was the company's sixth to open in Georgia in September 2020. I remember when Jeni's first opened in Atlanta. Lines out the door at the original location at Westside Provisions District were the norm. Today, with several locations, Jeni's ice cream is way more accessible. While not local, due to the company's prevalence and large footprint, Jeni's has become the standard for good ice cream in Atlanta. (If you want to support the local little guy, I suggest going to Butter & Cream - my favorite.) I first visited this Jeni's location in December 2020 for Yelp Atlanta's Elite Week (free scoops): https://www.yelp.com/biz/elite-week-jenis-splendid-ice-creams-glenwood-park-atlanta. During that visit, my wife and I got a couple limited flavors: Raspberry Rose Jelly Donut and Praline Pecans. Both flavors were excellent. Jeni's does a good job with their flavor names because they describe exactly what you taste. The Raspberry Rose Jelly Donut was sweet and subtly tart and fruity with a hint of floral. It also tasted like eating an ice cream version of a jelly donut. The Praline Pecans, which was a Southern regional special to celebrate the opening of Jeni's in Birmingham, Alabama, was right up my alley. If you love pecan pie and Southern desserts like me, you'll probably dig the Praline Pecans flavor. It was a little too nutty for my wife, though. Popular flavors at this location include Banana Cream Pudding (dairy-free) and Cookies in Cream. At Jeni's, I often get and recommend both the Brambleberry Crisp and Brown Butter Almond Brittle. Both are classics. I also suggest Gooey Butter Cake and Texas Sheet Cake (dairy-free). The latter was a new flavor to me. It's made with chocolate cake, fudge, and cocoa; really good. I've never been disappointed with Jeni's. The company's ice cream has always been high-quality and delicious with unique and creative flavors. It never gets old. There's always something new and interesting to try, and the quality is consistent between locations. During my last visit, this location had 21 regular flavors available (four of which were dairy-free) plus 12 special seasonal flavors. Half of the special flavors were available by the pint only. Pricing was as follows: * Single - one full scoop (cone or bowl) $5 * Standard - two half scoops (cone or bowl) $5 * Trio - three half scoops in a bowl $6 * Flight - 10 half scoops in a bowl $19 * Buttercrisp waffle bowls and cones made in-house +$1.25 * Pint -$12 These prices have remained fairly stable for Jeni's in the Atlanta market over the past seven to eight years, so it wouldn't surprise me if they go up soon. A special shout-out to Anna and Elliott at this location. They are super nice and awesome. Thanks, you two! Free street parking is available on both Garrett St and Bill Kennedy Way SE.

Welcome to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams!
    Kevin C.

Jeni's is at the corner of Bill Kennedy Way and Garrett Street. There are lots of free parking spaces in this mixed-use neighborhood. If you can't find street parking, there is a limited time (3 hours max) parking lot hidden between condos and townhomes. To get to this parking lot, after turning onto Garret from Bill Kennedy, turn left onto the first street you come to; this will take you directly to the parking lot. Jeni's is a very short walk from this lot. This Jeni's location is about three months old. It still looks very brand new and clean, is extremely well lit, and, during the current Covid-19 pandemic, the employees take health precautions very seriously. Both inside and outside the store, there is floor signage indicating where customers should stand to social distance properly. They've limited the space where customers can be by blocking off most of the inside floor space and providing a station where customers can place their orders and a separate station where the employees place the customers' orders, so this can practically be called no-contact. There aren't any tables or chairs to sit down at inside, so it's all take out. Customers enter through the door on Garrett St and exit from the Bill Kennedy Way door. Ok, so I hate having lots of options, especially when it comes to artisan or gourmet foods, because I want to try them all. Jeni's specializes in artisan ice creams, and I wasn't disappointed at all (unless you consider that I was limited to only three flavors since I ordered a Trio). I ordered a Trio waffle bowl, and asked for the Campfire Chocolate, Gooey Butter Cake and White Chocolate Peppermint scoops of ice cream to go in it. Mmmmm! The Campfire Chocolate was smokey chocolate with marshmallow - and it was delicious! The Gooey Butter Cake was cream cheese ice cream layered with crumbles of soft vanilla cake and swirls of caramel-butterscotch sauce - and I liked it more than the Campfire Chocolate. My mostest, favoritist (I know, those aren't real words) ice cream flavor that I picked last night was the White Chocolate Peppermint - white chocolate cream, real peppermint and white chocolate speckles that added a little crunch. This was so good that I was kind of sad as I ate the last spoonful. *sigh* I didn't care too much for the waffle bowl. It had a soft crunch texture, which was fine, but the flavor was a little salty instead of being a little sweet. R came with me and also ordered a Trio waffle bowl, but he got one scoop each of Orange Blossom Chiffon, Raspberry Rose Jelly Donut and White Chocolate Peppermint. I tried a little of the Orange Blossom Chiffon, which tasted just like an orange creamsicle (orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream - bleh!), and the Raspberry Rose Jelly Donut, which was just alright. Thank you, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, for the great artisan ice cream!

Today I tried Jeni's for the first time, and I'm already thinking of what I'll get when I go back! A friend who is always raving about Jeni's got the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. I chose the Wildberry Lavender and the White Chocolate Peppermint, which were recommendations from the cashier. Both were divine, but the latter was definitely my favorite! The white chocolate peppermint was really creamy and had the perfect balance of flavors. It also pairs really well with a waffle cone. I'll definitely have to get back to Jeni's soon since this flavor is seasonal! If you're looking for something not too sweet and a little more refreshing, I'd say go with the wildberry lavender. There are a few dairy free options on the menu. The one in particular that caught my eye was cold brew coconut cream. This one is first on the list for next time. This location, at the corner of Garrett Street and Bill Kennedy Way, is open until 11PM. Right now they're offering takeout only, and masks are required due to social distancing. Overall: Delicious ice cream, great service... count me in!

Friday Urban Picnics is run by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, and held every last Friday of the month from March to October, 11-2pm. Location is the back of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. At today's picnic, I arrived around 11:45 and lucked out with finding a parking spot. Lines were very short too - but that all changed after 12. Good Food Truck and Yumbii were probably the most popular. Westside Creamery, The Pop Shop (or maybe it was The Pop Stop), and Black Tie BBQ were there, too. I think almost all items were under $10. Today I had Good Food's $5 Poodle which was to die for: French Toast hot dog bun, beef dog, apple maple slaw, ... and then they strongly encourage you to add maple syrup and spicy mustard. Whoa that was really yummy - messy to eat though and I had sticky fingers afterwards from the maple syrup but no complaints from me :) Next time I'm trying one of their savory cones filled w/ all kinds of goodies! The Indian rice crispy treat sounded intriguing, too (curry, coconut, and candied fennel seeds)! For dessert I had a $3 generous scoop of Westside Creamery's bourbon & bacon ice cream. Just a hint of bourbon flavor and surprisingly thick pieces of bacon throughout - honestly I was expecting bacon-infused flavor but my bad for expecting anything else but the real thing!! I thought she was going to go to this other place in mind but I stead she chose Breeze Confectionery. I will admit I never heard of the place but when she came home with three humongous slices of Key Lime Cake I had to looks them up in the net. The bakery has a French and African background. You can read more about them know their website. The desserts in the case make you want to swoon. What attracts me is all the colors. They have an extensive variety of cakes, pastries, croissants and even macarons. Oh what a joy to know that this establishment is located close enough to home and far enough all at the same time. The Key Lime Cake is a huge portion. It is 4 layers of goodness. As soon as I opened the container the smell came flowling out. You know it's good if the cake smells good. Oh my!!! I had to tirl it around to get a good look at it. It's a beautiful cake. The topping is a crunchy sugar, butter concoction. Made similar to strawberry crunch cake. The star of this cake is the fact that it's is extremely moist. MOIST!!!!! I tell you there is not I got dry about this cake. I could only eat the bottom layer but please believe I will nibble on this cake day by day until it is gone. Bravo to the owners I will spread the word of Facebook and Google. I hope you look at reviews because they do matter. My fellow Yelpers and Google folks make your way down to the heart of Atlanta, Municipal Market aka The Curbarket and have your self a treat. I do not believe you will be disappointed.
