I stopped going many years ago when she did the old bait and switch twice. I made an appt. for one stylist and got another more expensive stylist. I have fine short hair that takes 5 mins. to cut and paying more than I had planned for a 5 min. haircut made me a bit angry. I also have had to wait awhile even with an appt. They need to improve their time management if they can't accommodate their clients with appointments at the time they show up. read more

I used to go here all the time and it was great. However, I went there today for a 1:30 appt and was told to sit in a chair and was completely ignored for 20 minutes before I finally walked out. Nobody deserves to be ignored, especially since I had an appointment and my money is as good as anyone else's PLUS I'm a generous tipper. Her loss. I will never go back. I left there in tears. If you can't accommodate three people at a time, don't have that time as an option on your booking site. read more

Where do I start... After going to this salon my hair was fried and breaking off at the roots due to the stylist(Bri) over processing my hair (foil as I get blonde highlights). I called right away and text right away but owner(Jenna) of company was in Mexico and could not resolve. This was done in 12/8/2021 and still no resolution. They offered to try to do deep conditioning treatments to help repair but seriously can you trust someone after they damage your hair this bad. She made my hair so blonde when I asked for blonde highlights pulling in my natural color so the grow out would. It be obvious. I considered by of course they flaked out and do nothing but text never a real person to talk to. Jenna offered to refund my payment but I never saw the refund so I placed a claim with my bank. I would not go to this salon unless you want your hair damaged and horrible customer service. This is a lesson learned for me. Do more research before you try a new salon and they get paired with someone new/young. This is the worst experience I have had in the 15 years I have been fouling my hair. read more

Just adding that I found a photo from when my fouls were started and a photo a little while before they were all taken out and it was over an hour in between... mind you this was my second session of bleach AFTER they had already said my hair processed faster than the average person. Not one person has reached out to reimburse me since my review. So disappointing and disgusting! Do NOT go here to get bleached!! You'll have to cut of all your hair and waste $700. read more

WORST HAIRCUT I'VE EVER HAD! I don't often review places, so I thought long and hard about even writing this review, and I don't say any of this lightly. This is honestly the worst haircut I've had in my life. I will absolutely not be going back. I was looking around for a local curly hair specialist, and wanted to see what a real "curly cut" was like. I was also hoping to learn more tips on how to care for my wavy curly hair. I was disappointed. I had to book an appointment online because no one would answer the phone when I called or texted. There was no response when I tried to find out what to do in advance for this special appointment either. When I arrived, the place I was seated at had hair on the floor from the last 1-2 people. It was not a bright and inviting looking shop/salon either. I should have walked away right then, but I was trying to look past appearances and give them a chance. My wavy curly hair HATED EVERYTHING Jenna did. The conditioning treatment, the styling products, the attempt at upside down diffusing (which I don't normally do), and especially the cut. When you tell someone you're feeling like you've recently had higher hair loss than usual, maybe you shouldn't think about thinning out their hair more right? Well, she thinned it. A LOT. Then, probably because my hair was having a freak out moment (like I was), and not doing what she expected, she declared it finished without actually finishing the cut! (I didn't realize this at the time.) She did the rough cut and didn't do the detailed trim to shape it! After I left, the more I touched it and looked at it, the more I wanted to cry. My beautiful thick wavy/curly hair looked and felt scraggly and thin. I tried to make it work on my own for a few days, but ended up making an appointment with my normal stylist ASAP to fix the mess that was left. Seeing what Jenna missed without finishing the cut was absolutely crazy. Not sure why you would stop where she did. Now, I'm stuck waiting for all this to grow back so I can get the shape I really wanted months ago. If you read all of this, please do yourself a favor and think hard before getting your haircut with Jenna. I hope this helps someone. read more

I first came to the Jenna Marie salon with a color correction needed for my hair. Sarahi was SO amazing. We talked about my hair goals and what I was working towards and she took care of me -- completely! She has completely transformed my hair and I now have the best cut and color of my life! I've been seeing Sara for 10+ years and she is genuinely incredible. She took my hair from long to short and always creates the coolest looks for me. She's so easy to talk to, and she always knows exactly what to say to make me laugh. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with Sara and I am so thankful for that. Jenna runs a very clean, cute, and inviting salon that I will definitely be coming back to. My first positive impression was that they do online booking! I was able to make a Saturday morning appointment easily and when I came in they were already busy! I just got a haircut this time which included wash, dry and styling (curly or straight). Jenna did a great job on the cut and asked me along the way how I liked it since it was her first time cutting my hair. I left pleased with the cut with free flowers in hand! When I got home I noticed that the cut was a bit more blunt than I liked it - at my own fault since Jenna asked if I wanted more cut and I said no. I texted the salon asking if I could come back in and get more layers. They immediately responded and got me in the next day. 20 min later and Jenna had perfected the cut and I was very happy! I love my new hair! I wish I had a before photo as it was pretty icky with multiple layers of faded box reds. I didn't know what I wanted to do with it except lighten it somehow. So I booked online (awesome feature btw) for color and full highlights. Brianna had her work cut out for her, but she was able to give it new life! I get so many compliments! Thank you! There have been multiple times walk ins were taken before me even though I had scheduled an appointment months in advance. I'm sad because I do love the haircuts here and it is a great price but I feel I can't go anymore knowing my appointment will always be late and take much longer than expected. read more

Let me start by saying that I really like my haircut, and I appreciated the good conversation I had with Jenna and her team. It was fun, truly. Haircut wise, I would recommend anyone to this salon and to Jenna. That being said, I was disappointed with the length of the appointment, the "balayage," and the price, and that's what the rest of my review will be about. I was pretty explicit about what I wanted, and Jenna repeated that she understood me several times, making me feel comfortable with what she was about to do. I said that streaks of color were my biggest fear, but that is what I got. And caramel/orangey streaks at that instead of blonde. Unfortunately, the lighting in the salon made it so that I thought my hair color was a different color than what it actually turned out to be when I got home later. As I'm sure the staff of the salon can remember, I got up several times trying to get closer to the mirror to really look at my hair when they asked what I thought, but even then I couldn't really tell. Had I not been so rushed because the appointment was pushing 4 hours and I had a flight to catch, maybe I would have paid better attention. I apologize for this not-so-great review after seeming so happy when I left, too. Jenna told me near the end of my appointment that I should have planned for 2.5-3 hours, and honestly 3 hours would have been fine, but she was juggling my mother's haircut - which she started 45 minutes after it was scheduled, and squeezed in a last minute appointment, which really extended the length of my own appointment - and I think unfairly so. And now to the price which is frankly what I'm most disappointed about. The price on the website was $158.00 for a cut and color. I was offered a conditioning treatment for an additional $25.00 which I accepted, and mentally added the change in what would later be my total. When it came time to pay, I was charged $268.00. I was not informed that I was being charged for anything else, and I think that was wrong of the salon not to tell me I would be charged extra for anything she was doing that I thought was included. I was in such a rush that I paid, tipped and left, but I haven't stopped thinking about how unfair that price was. When I saw the emailed receipt in my inbox on the way to the airport, I saw what the additional charges were for: $25 to tone the bottom of my hair, which I guess I understand and would have been fine with paying for had I been informed, and a $60 charge for her to darken my roots when I specifically told her before she colored that area that I did not like my front face/forehead hair area to be too bright with blonde highlights. When she decided to color it anyway - saying she could always darken it if needed - I did not think her fixing it would mean I'd have to pay $60! And what makes it worse is that she made the choice to darken it on her own without me seeing/knowing how bright it was. I glanced in a mirror at it quickly while she was washing it, but my response was "wow, bright," not "please tone this down and I will pay the cost." Maybe I would have liked the color? and I could have avoided the additional time and charge. It was disappointing. At the end of the appointment, she insisted that my mother, my mothers friend who picked us up and I all take bouquets of flowers which was very sweet. I liked that little touch, and I gave the flowers to my sister which she loved. All in all, it was a good haircut and good conversation, but I think I will be getting my hair colored/done elsewhere next time. read more

Needed to find a new salon after my previous stylist cut down their hours. Came here for the first time yesterday and was a little nervous about how to explain my haircut. I rock a pixie cut and sometimes find that stylists aren't quite familiar with cutting such short hair. Brianna did a great job listening to me fumble my way through my explanations of shape and texture, and she made excellent recommendations as we went along. She often paused and would ask clarifying questions, so I felt comfortable knowing that she wasn't getting ahead of herself, and I really appreciated it. Loved the final cut at the salon, but of course the true test is how it looks the next morning after you style it yourself. And I'm happy to report that I'm looking fly as heck today. The space is open, clean, and welcoming. All the ladies seem very professional - I didn't pick up on any bad attitudes or catty behavior, which is so appreciated (I'm severely allergic to drama). Brianna was incredibly charismatic and complimentary - so if you need a confidence boost, she's the girl to see (never new my eyelashes were so luxurious until yesterday, haha). Prices were excellent. Parking wasn't an issue for me at 5pm on a Wednesday, but it's in a residential area so it's a lot of street parking instead of a parking lot, although there are a couple spots designated for business customers. So you might need to park a little further away if it ever gets really crowded. But it's a low traffic area, so it wasn't stressful. Booking can be done online, so it's easy to see availability and plan ahead. And to top it off, they had a bunch of flowers from a neighboring business to give to clients. So I got a cute little mini bouquet to take home. Will definitely be making this my regular salon! read more

I went in for a trim and asked her to take off just a half inch to an inch. Instead she took of about one and a half inches and totally butchered the front of my hair. I specifically said no layers and I'm left with what basically looks like a mullet. I've been trying to grow my hair for the last seven years and I'm now back to square one. Took my 16-year old daughter here. She had beautiful long hair, but wanted to have some layers added. She showed Jenna an example, but she only glanced at it for a second and started chopping. The result was not good! Nothing like she wanted, too short and completely uneven. Paid $62 for a very brief visit. High-end salon prices for a low-quality experience.
