I get a mani pedi here all the time. I love Jennie and her ladies. I come out looking fabulous every time. they're the best.

I had an appointment with Jennie for a pedicure, but she completely blew me off. I arrived about five minutes ahead of the scheduled appointment time. She was working on a manicure, and there was another woman waiting in a chair for a pedicure when I got there. Jennie finished the manicure and then went over to start the pedicure on the other woman. By that time it was time for my scheduled pedicure. I asked her if there was someone there to do my pedicure, and she said no, that "the other girl" had left and she would be back in a while. I said, "but my appointment was with you not with someone else". She just said that I could leave if I wanted to. So I did. I will never be back. read more

Made an appointment for 9:30. When it was still closed at 9:40 I called. She said the appointment was for 10. It wasn't. She laughed and I asked why she was laughing. Not a good gel manicure. The lady who owns it is nice enough and the salon is nice but $42 for a gel manicure???!! That's $12 more than most places. Super disappointed because the polish starting chipping off a day or two later. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I got a gel full set and pedi on the 13th and my nails started breaking just two days later .... I was willing to look past the fact that the shape wasn't correct and the paint job wasn't the best but for my nails too have been done by the owner herself Jennie and for this to be the end result is just ridiculous..... I paid extra for length ,shape and design and ended up with zero nails on my fingers in a weeks time . Clearly they were not done properly and were way too thin . I contacted Jennie directly and got no reply hoping that she would make it right when only two nails were broken but nope !! So much for customer service and satisfaction being her top priority. It's very disappointing and frustrating when you spend your hard earned money on a service that ends up being crap. I notice after reading reviews this has happened multiple times . As for my pedi it was rushed even after I waited patiently with my feet in the water for over 25 mins waiting for her to finish up with two other clients . Also my feet became VERY ITCHY the next day!! I WOULD NOT recommend anyone going here nor now or her new location next month . If you see a JENNIE nail salon in Burlington think twice before wasting time and money . I know I wish I would have . This nail salon is amazing! I have tried multiple salons in the Burlington and St. Albans area, and Jennies comes in first. I was helped by a younger male and he took his time (over an hour) and gave me the best manicure I have had. Definitely would check this place out if you're looking for an affordable mani/pedi! I had some time to kill on Church street so I decided to get my nails done. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I got a power French manicure which turned out amazing. I was extremely happy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I was a little taken back with the price. $55 (plus tip) seemed a bit high but otherwise I was very happy. read more

For $32 I got a gel manicure and had my previous gel removed. The removal of my old manicure was super rough and involved chipping and peeling off the polish rather than soaking the polish off. After they bugged them and all they looked alright. The new gel polish would've been great except that they never refilled the brush back into the polish resulting in really thin coats leaving the polish super transparent. Service was quick and the salon tech was very friendly and knew what he was doing except for the stingy polish use. Would recommend for someone who needs a quick job. read more

This place is the Burlington go-to for nails, along with a relaxing experience. The minute you get there, it's plain that the staff is well-trained: because they're competent they're also confident, which somehow makes the whole experience relaxing since you can tell they really, really know what they're doing. I have gone there again ang again. Not once have I felt like I was wasting my time or that no one was paying attention. If you're there for a pedicure, don't be shy about using the massage features of the chair you'll be in. That feels great. Obviously they bought the high-end model of massage chairs. You'll leave there relaxed and in a good mood. What's amazing is that none of the Jennie services are expensive -- not at all. But that's probably because they know how to run a business -- as well as keep customers happy. Definitely worth a try. read more

Jennie Nail Spa is great. A family run business with a fantastic staff of hardworking friendly nail techs. They do great work, paying close attention to detail and moving along in such an efficient way. If you know what you want and are direct, you are going to have leave happy; they are genuine and put a great amount of care into their work. Jennie and Sun are the owners and they also work right in the salon; they are really great people and very talented nail techs...SO FAST! The color selection is always good and if you get a pedicure the massage chair is nice for the duration. Last time I did the pedicure with the cooling leg treatment, it was really nice. Their prices are totally reasonable and again, like I said, I think that knowing what you want and being able to express that is really important with a manicure/pedicure. I did once choose a color and my tech was like 'umm are you sure?,' Truth is, I wasn't. He went on to help me choose a MUCH better color. It was a good call, but you know if I had said, 'yep I am sure,' he would have been cool with that too. It's like having your best friend there to give you the yea or nay on a ridiculously expensive leather bag. They just truly want you to have something that you will enjoy. I'd love to come back on a day and time that's not Wednesday morning, because the mall was dead and it was kind of unsettling being the only one in the salon with the only background noise being a strange combination of the Beach Boys playing in the mall and the foreign language pop song coming from the speakers of Jenni Nail & Spa. Some of my nails were not filed entirely evenly, the massage was lame, and the technician got some polish on my cuticles. But she got the job done and my polish lasted a good five days. I always like having my nails done and I get a manicure every so often because I'm not a pro but I sort of felt like I paid $13 for a job that I have done to some extent many times myself. When I went to sit down under the light for my nails to dry, the thing was really dusty and there was visible dust/dirt on top where the magazines are. So yeah that's kind of gross. Either way, my tech was nice and I'd be curious to come back on a busier day when perhaps they have more experienced staff because I don't know how else they could sustain such a big salon if they're mediocre all the time. read more

Visiting the area and read the reviews here before trying-was NOT disappointed! I sprang for the "nu-pedicure", which is their fancy one with different products. The woman who did it (I believe her name was Michelle) was AMAZING and took her time. She also did my shellac manicure after and did a wonderful job on that as well. I love going to Jennie Nail & Spa. I always ask for Michelle. She's an amazing pedicurist and also very smart, funny and thoughtful. I enjoy catching up with her and really like her a lot. I've been going here for years but didn't realize until just a few weeks ago that Michelle is also Jennie's sister. Jennie also works here and her husband, Sun, runs the front of the house. They have a lovely little daughter and another baby on the way. I've seen several of the manicurists/pedicurists through the years and most all are great. I find that the older ladies do a better job than the younger ones (but I guess you'd expect that, assuming they have lots more experience). I like to go during the slower times so things are less rushed. Weekends and after work hours can be very busy. I've only had manis and pedis (usually spa) and never do any more advanced treatments as I keep my nails short and low maitenance. I've tried many other places in town and this is the only place I go. I'd give it 5 stars except for the fact that I sense some manicurists are better than others and I wish they just did foot rubs and you could pay for them by the minute. Some places do that and I'd happily go just for foot rubs if I could! I'd give it 5 stars in a heartbeat just based on Michelle's pedicures and foot rubs! If you are ever in need of a quick mani/pedi go here. Or, for a more relaxed experience, go on off hours. They have oodles of colors to choose from and very nice facilities. In fact, I was here once with the state health worker inspected and she was very pleased with the facilities and cleanliness. They run a tight ship at Jennie Nail & Spa. I'm a big fan! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am not a regular but wanted to get a quick color change as I didn't have much time. I always do this back home in NYC, so I know the drift. I chose the color, sat down and the woman started taking off my nail polish. I thought she was going to grab another cotton ball to continue taking more off sine there was still a bunch left around my skin and cuticles. I chose a nude color and my previous color was dark blue, together it would look ridiculous. She DID NOT take the remaining nail polish off and started applying the base coat. I thought, fine, I might be over reacting and it'll just wash off over time. Once she started applying the first coat, it was the most uneven coat I had ever seen. I swear I could have done better myself. I was hoping maybe the second coat might cover the uneven spots. The second coat wasn't any better than the first. I hate to be the bitchy customer and the woman was very sweet and older so I did not have it in my heart to make a scene. I payed, dried, hoping that it might look better but a bad manicure will stay a bad manicure. I then came up to another woman, asked for a cotton swab with nail polish remover and walked out. Very disappointing. Way too much money for a not so great product. I'd made an appointment and still had to wait a half hour when I arrived. The pedicure lasted two days and cost $30 - though they initially charged me $27, but then wanted to rerun my credit card for an extra $6 because I'd gotten a French pedicure. This place is okay, but there's definitely better options. They have a good selection of color, but the work is a little sloppy and they don't have great tools for drying the nails. So expect to be there for a little while. Customer service is ok; it doesn't seem like they really value you as customer, but you're not mistreated, you're just not important (ha!). I went here a few weeks ago and got gel nails and gel polish. I don't remember names, but the lady who started my nails was very nice and very good. Then halfway through one of her regular customers came in (a walk in, not appointment) and she let a guy take over to do her regular clients nails. He was not friendly, and he was not gentle (hello. My fingers are underneath those). He did a fine job, but I walked out of there and commented on how I did not like him and my boyfriend got the same vibe. I would not have cared that the first lady left if the worker who took over was half as nice. I left a very mediocre tip. If I would have just had the first lady it would have been much better and if I had just had the guy it would have been worse. Don't know if I will ever return when I am back in that area. read more

Kahn did a great job, got a pedi with regular polish and a gel manicure. I had blisters on both feet from going hiking the day before, asked to be gentle, and she was! I had heard good things about Jennie and in my on-going hunt for a decent nail salon in Burlington, I tried it out for a pedicure and set of gels. The pedicure was okay at best. It took about 10 minutes and literally all she did was paint my toenails. No massage, no cleaning up, no trimming. The disaster really started with the gels. I had about 3 different women working on me, the dryer was a single hand dryer so I kept messing up the gels because she wanted me to slide my hands in on top of each other. No matter what I tried to ask for (better filing, thinner white etc), they just kept trying to say I was done. My nails look awful and I eventually left in tears to the tune of $73 plus a begrudging tip. Two days later, my toes have chipped and I have to go to a different salon to get these disgusting gels filed off. Don't waste your time. read more

I had my very first pedicure today.... Amazing! I was in the most comfortable massage chair for 1.45 hours! Lan provided a very relaxing experience for me. So much so that she had to catch me before I walked out as I was so relaxed that I actually didn't realize that I had not unrolled my pant leg back down prior to leaving. That in itself is a true testament to my state of mind. The entire staff was very sweet, and I felt a comradery amongst them. Thanks Jennie Nail & Spa! I'll be back :) The only draw back which took one star away is that in a busy mall you have a lot of shoppers passing by you. I'd personally prefer something more private. read more

I have gone to Jennie two times, and each time i walked away not too happy. The first time I got a manicure and the woman ended up cutting me with a cuticle board and then put some stuff on it that made it sting really bad. The second time I thought I would give them another chance and decided to get shellac done. The shellac was very poorly put on and was chipping within 1 week!! For the cost this was horrible! I will not go back there. I have since visited another nail salon which did an absolute great job and I have had it for over a week with no chipping! read more

Just recently opened this week! Amazing service. Sweetest people ever. The place just looks and feels so much nicer than most nail salons. The price is pretty decent for Burlington. They really take their time and make sure you're happy with the results. I got gel nails put on, the woman was very rude the entire time, she did not make the experience delightful. She also put one nail on crooked. I then had them on for a week, 1 nail fell off, less than another week later, 2 more nails fell off. I asked her to take care of it and she told me that I would be charged. My nails had barely grown out and would have lasted me at least another week before a fill. The woman also convinced me to spend an extra $10 on gel nail polish that won't chip. Well it doesn't matter if the polish chips or not when the nails fall off anyways! I don't pay $50 to have nails for less than 2 weeks. read more

I came here on Sunday around 11:30am and was able to get a pedicure right away. A young male did a fantastic job; I'm a huge critic when it comes to pedicures because some places rush you out the door but this young man took his time, was very meticulous, and made me feel very relaxed especially with the massage. I've been to this salon a couple times now, and always forget how disappointing my experiences have been there. My last visit was bad enough to convince me never to get my nails done here again. I received a mani/pedi on my last visit. The pedi started out fine, wasn't anything special but problems arose when I was receiving my manicure. The bowl of water to soak my fingertips in was freezing cold. The technician carelessly and painfully dug at my cuticles. The station was dusty and dirty, and the mini fan they told me to use in order to dry the polish between coats was covered in lint and dust which got onto my wet nails (the technician blamed me because my hair was down, and continued to tell me to be more careful). She begrudgingly redid a few nails without putting down a base coat first. She seemed impatient and did a carless job on my nails. Although I love the colors I got, I could tell afterwards the technician did an awful job with the second coat; she did not take the time to evenly coat my nails, and i could have easily done a better job at home (the same goes for my toes, I can't believe I paid $37). My friend got acrylic nails and as we were chatting during our manis her technician repeatedly and rudely told her not to move, and even dropped the f bomb. When my friend saw the paint on her nails she decided to get a different color and her technician acted like in was an inconvenience for her. Afterwards my friend told me she disliked the second color she chose, but was too nervous to ask again for a different one. When it was time to dry our nails the UV light station was dusty, dirty, and oily. Now, five days later, my nails are beginning to crack and chip. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this spa and will pass on my disappointments to all my family and friends. read more

TERRIBLE! I don't normally write such bad reviews as i think everyone can have a bad day - but this place is seriously awful. I went on a Saturday afternoon while the place was very busy. Instead of saying come back in an hour, they told me to sit in a pedicure chair with my feet in a bowl of cold water. After about 45 minutes I said that I will leave and at this point a lady rushed over and said she would do it in 10 minutes. She actually did it in 9 minutes (that's how much care she took). On top o this, she cut the side of one of my big toe nails so deeply that the day after it became infected, was oozing pus and I found it hard to walk for 3 days. Nearly 2 weeks on, my toe is still swollen and i feel like i was robbed by this awful place. BEWARE - STAY AWAY! read more
