I'm not even sure where to begin with this review. Working with Jennifer during our wedding process was amazing. If it weren't for her I don't think we would have been able to have the wedding of our dreams, but thanks to her painstaking work on the ceremony and open communication with us, our wedding was dreamy to say the least. When I was searching for someone to officiate my wedding ceremony, I was overwhelmed by all the little differences between a wedding officiant and wedding minister, and all the different options out there on what little ceremonies could be included within a wedding ceremony. All I knew was I wanted a non-religious ceremony and I wanted a ceremony that wasn't boring... something that entertained my guests & something that would make them all feel special. My fiance (at the time) and I had the pleasure of watching Reverend Luu officiate for the first time at our close friend's wedding. Boy is she a fantastic story teller! We laughed and cried as we listened to her tell the bride & groom's story. There were bits & pieces that were traditional and so much more that was unique and tailored to fit the bride, groom, & their guests. Immediately following the ceremony my fiance & I looked at each other & said SHE is going to marry us! At the beginning most of our correspondence was through e-mail, which was very convenient and we had records of everything we discussed. My fiance & I had chosen to fill out Reverend Luu's questionnaire separately, and have anything that we write be a surprise to each other on the day of the wedding. Reverend Luu was very flexible in the time that we set up to meet and sort of hang out and get to know each other. She encouraged that we brainstorm out loud while she took detailed notes. She asked questions where we needed to clarify. She prompted us when we were starting to come up with some good ideas. She made sure to get to know (through us) the important people who we wanted her to include in the ceremony. She made suggestions on different elements that could be included in the wedding ceremony (i.e. warming of the rings, honoring the parents, etc...). We even discussed some non-traditional ceremony ideas. Soon after we gave her everything that she needed, she sent us a rough outline of everything that we had considered and spoken about in the form of a ceremony timeline. After we made some edits & omissions, we entrusted the rest to her. When the wedding day came, she delivered flawlessly! 3 weeks after our wedding we sat down to watch the video recording of Reverend Luu telling our story and once again we were laughing and crying. I got to see the faces of all my family and guests. They were engaged in the ceremony & absorbed by the story being told. We chose to do some non-traditional stuff like serving our guests popcorn in favor boxes so they could eat during the ceremony. I was nervous because it's so un-traditional but all Reverend Luu had to do was speak a few words to the guests, they laughed, they ate, they were happy and so were we! The way she put all the traditional and non-traditional elements together was seamless! My husband and I high recommend Reverend Luu if you're getting married, especially if you want to step away from the boring traditional type of wedding ceremony. She will give you one of the best wedding gifts: a beautifully officiated wedding ceremony to remember for the rest of your life. She is so eloquent with her words that I cannot even find the words to describe how awesome it was. I still have no idea how Jennifer did it... she made it seem like she had known my husband and I for years, when we had only met her about a week before our wedding. She has an ingenious way of meeting and getting to know couples. It is hard to find the words to express our gratitude to Jennifer for the amazing ceremony she gave us. From the time we met Jennifer, she instilled great confidence in us that she would make our ceremony capture our story and our love, and she absolutely delivered. Jennifer seamlessly wove together our story based on answers to questions she gave us that my husband and I answered independently of one another. She told our story in a way we had not heard and certainly that our guests had not heard. In addition to telling our story, Jennifer suggested other special elements for our ceremony such as a "warming of the rings." This was a beautiful way to engage our guests in the ceremony. At least half of the notes left by guests in our guest book made reference to the beautiful ceremony, and countless people remarked throughout the night and even the days that followed about the ceremony. Some of the adjectives people used included "captivating", "unique", "touching", and "beautiful." Several guests told us that they do not usually cry but had a hard time holding back tears during our ceremony. I was so wrapped up in the glitz and frivolous details that go into a wedding, we had totally put off finding an Officiant, basically the lynchpin in making a marriage legal.
