I had a Dr who diagnosed me in 2021. Then the medical group did away with an OB/GYN specialist. Next I am seen at Naval Hospital ob/GYN a very nice captain there summer of 2024. However I was her last patient prior to her retirement. Then NHB did away with their OB/gyn specialist clinics as well. I was very apprehensive going to see the Dr that I was scheduled to see as he was a male. But beggars can't be choosers in Kitsap county. I had an urgent case and the other clinic didn't have anything until September. Long story short the male Dr I saw was AMAZING!! The staff within the clinic, Poulsbo office, were amazing. I highly recommend Dr Aaron Swenson at the Bond rd Poulsbo Clinic. I also have severe panic/anxiety disorder and the dr and the rest of the staff were so friendly and nice. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Esser at a very trying time in life. I was extremely frustrated with the major Healthcare system of big corporations such as "St. Vincent" hospital, and "The Doctors Clinic" I hadn't had medical care in many many years when I first came to Dr. Esser, to say I needed more than OBGYN care would be an understatement. Esser really takes a holistic healing approach to health. She guided me through many medical situations, helped me with my overall health, diet, nutrition, vitamins for overall well being. She is a problem solver. She puts real time into solutions varying dosages of medications until we have the right outcome. She is also an incredible surgeon. At 35 years old I was in need of a total hysterectomy- She called me from her home over the weekend to check on me. I called in December as a returning patient after two years, and I was told the next available appointment would not be until May. I asked if I could be placed on a cancellation or waiting list for anything sooner, but they told me no. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 30 minutes early to the office I had previously visited, only to find out the provider had moved to Gig Harbor. I immediately called the office, but they do not speak directly with patients, only through text messaging. I explained that I was already on my way and would only be about 10 minutes late due to the address confusion. Instead of trying to accommodate me, they told me I would need to reschedule all the way until August and then charged me a $100 no-show fee. When the appointment reminder was sent, I did not notice the new address, but after waiting five months for an appointment, I do not believe this situation was handled fairly or professionally. Charging a long-term returning patient a no-show fee under these circumstances feels unreasonable and shows a lack of compassion and flexibility toward patients.

I met with two cardiologists and both were difficult to understand (english language deficiency) ... in fact one was so bad I had no clue what he was saying. They were also suggesting surgery even though the frequency of occurrence with me in infrequent and lasts only minutes, not hours. After that experience and upon reviewing the results with Dr. Caulkins, I realized that he is way more expert in the medical details of atrial fibrillation than the Mayo doctors.
