After calling for weeks and getting the run around, my father went up to the 84th L location where the truck was still sitting outside which they had told me it was going to be towed to another location (65th L) where they have been working out of due to storm. The next day they magically contacted me and said my ignition module and ABS module were bad. Not once after they did the diagnostics to determine those modules were bad did they bring up the brake booster, which would've showed when they hooked the vehicle to the computer to determine the modules were bad!. Had a prior diagnostic done from the Jeep dealership which the brake booster did not show up as needing to be replaced, only showed lost communication to a module. Took about two weeks to repair. Paid $2500, when I picked up my vehicle all these lights were on my dash which wasn't on there when I dropped my truck off. Brake light, Airbag, and mile odometer was flashing. They advised when I picked up my vehicle that something was wrong with my brake booster, which is connected to the ABS module they said they had to replace. I requested to see the old modules to ensure they were replaced and they were not provided. Prior to this they told me they were having a hard time programming the ABS module. I still reiterated that the lights on my dash were not there when I towed the vehicle to them. They advised for additional $1200 they can repair the brake booster that they damaged.

After he wasn't contacted the next day he went into the shop and talked to Paul again, Paul saying that he had to talk to the owner John about resolving the issue which is understandable. After waiting all day for a response he finally got a call from Paul grudgingly saying that they would want the car back to have someone come over and touch up the paint, of course not a body shop but a alignment and wheel shop. He told them that he didn't feel comfortable bring it back to the same people that damaged it and he asked for a actual body shop to do the work of course after explaining that to Paul he said no this is the only way and that's it! Here's a firm but fair version: I really wanted to have a positive experience with this shop. The communication was great, and everyone I dealt with seemed very genuine. In fact, a friend in the industry described them to me as "not the cheapest, but fair and not crooks." Unfortunately, my experience with their pricing left me extremely disappointed. I was charged approximately $3,100 to replace one headlight, including labor. I questioned the cost of the part at the time and was told that was simply what it cost. However, when I submitted the claim to my insurance company, they actually called me to confirm that I had only had one headlight replaced because the cost of the part was roughly double what they expected. My claims adjuster then contacted the shop directly and was told that there was a 128% markup on the part. The shop would not adjust the price, and as a result, my insurance company would not reimburse me for the full amount. I understand that businesses need to mark up parts and make a profit, and I don't expect any shop to be the cheapest. But a 128% markup on such an expensive part, especially after I specifically questioned the price and was simply told that was what the part cost, does not feel fair to me. We live in a small community, and I believe we should be able to trust and support our local businesses. I appreciated the communication and professionalism I received, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Based on the pricing and the way this situation was handled, I cannot recommend this shop and would strongly encourage others to compare parts pricing and ask specifically about markup before authorizing expensive repairs.

I took my car here to fix a minor dent/scrape. The final bill was 30% more than their written…read moreestimate. They blamed the extra cost on recalibration, and said they didn't know how much that costs ahead of time. Giving a low initial quote and then jacking up the price once the work is done is downright shady. I will note that I also got a quote from Dingman's that was slightly higher than Kaizen's quote (though lower than the final bill) that did include a flat cost for recalibration, so apparently they figured it out. It took 5 weeks to get the car into the shop, which is fine (every place is busy these days). Two days after dropping it off, they informed me I'd be without my car for 2 weeks, which seemed like a long time for a simple fix (no spare parts or anything). The day I was supposed to pick it up, I called in to see when it would be ready; only then was I informed it would be a further 2 days. Note they never called me. Between the completely wrong estimate, the long repair time, and the complete lack of communication, I would have assumed this is the first time they've fixed a car. In retrospect I should have asked more questions, but I naively assumed that the shop would be honest and accurate in their communication. Then again if they had been honest, I might have chosen a different shop. The cherry on top was that when I got my car back, they had broken the driver-side seatbelt (it wouldn't retract). They did fix it within a half hour (nice of them), but the employee who gave me my keys told me that the guy who had reassembled the seatbelt just didn't care about doing a good job. The driver fender and driver door was damaged, and the suspension was knocked out of alignment. I have a scratch in my driver side mirror that wasn't there after my car was hit. There was some kind of grease on the mirror and driver side window. There was grease left under the sun visor on the driver side. I had a pretty nice Captain America themed steering wheel cover that is now ruined due to one of the grimy workers smearing grease all over the cover and upon trying to clean it, rubbed off most of the color. The cover is now mostly grease colored. Someone at the shop took everything in the passenger side of the vehicle as well as the back seat of the vehicle, and threw it all into the cargo area of the vehicle. Now tell me, why do you need to get into the back seat while doing body work? I can see the floors were vacuumed, which is great, but who gave you the right to throw everything into the cargo area? I would recommend this shop for great work, but I'm pretty steamed about the rest of what they did. And let me add, I didn't ask for my car to be washed. I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, but I'm that kind of person.

That changed after I tried Christian Brothers Automotive during a grand opening when they were offering free oil changes. I liked the experience enough that I decided to give them a shot again for my next paid oil change, and that's when the difference really stood out. Jiffy Lube's main advantage is speed. You stay in your car and you are in and out quickly. But Christian Brothers wins in almost every other category. The waiting room is clean and comfortable (even have cell phone chargers), the people are genuinely friendly, and the pricing has actually been better in my experience. I also appreciate that my car is returned clean, without the greasy or rushed feeling I sometimes had before. Scheduling is easy too. Their website makes it simple to book an appointment, so even though it is not a drive through experience, it still feels efficient and well organized. If speed is the only thing you care about, Jiffy Lube works. But if you value service, cleanliness, and feeling confident about who is working on your car, Christian Brothers Automotive has earned my business going forward.

Their 5 year warranty battery gave out in less than two years. I got a new one for $129 at Walmart. CB didn't seem to want to deal with the warranty, telling me on the phone they need to check the vehicle to see why my car was draining the battery before any talk about a refund or partial refund. The battery had side posts. CB used old stripped posts that caused my battery to only have a weak connection at best. The result. My car got stranded just off a freeway ramp. I had to wait two hours for AAA to get there and tow me to a place that discovered the issue right away and replaced the battery posts with new ones. Now it runs perfectly, no thanks to UnChristian Brothers. Needless to say. They lost a customer.
