I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Brakes Plus today. What should have been a…read moreroutine service ended up taking about five hours, which is completely unacceptable. I rearranged my schedule and had multiple commitments later that day that I either had to cancel or significantly delay because of the excessive wait. What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of communication throughout the process. If the service was going to take that long, I should have been informed upfront or at least kept updated so I could make an informed decision instead of sitting there wondering what was happening. Five hours for this type of service shows a lack of respect for your customers' time. Time is valuable, and mine was wasted today. I chose Brakes Plus expecting professional service, but instead I was left inconvenienced, frustrated, and disappointed. I would appreciate an explanation for why the service took so long and what Brakes Plus intends to do to make this right. Based on today's experience, I have serious reservations about returning or recommending your business to anyone else. They did do what they were supposed to but I didn't expect this.

I went to Acme for the first time April 1 and Curt (the owner) was the absolute nicest guy -- felt…read morelike I knew him forever, and right when I first started talking to him I could sense the sincerity and integrity of this guy and the place -- one of the cleanest auto and body shop repair places that I have ever been to. To make a long story short, Tires Plus, on 132nd and Maple told me this Ford Escape of my daughter's which I had just spent a bunch of $$ at Tires Plus to put a new AC compressor in and recharge a few weeks ago now needed more work. But, when we tried the AC on warm days and even the day after leaving the place the first time after the repair it was not throwing any cold or even cool air out. When I took it back in, assuming it was under warranty from 3 weeks before, they said it now needed a new evaporator coil. The cost? $1600. I took the car back and took it to Kurt at Acme. He and his mechanics checked out the whole AC system to find out it was only a fuse and now the AC is working great and Acme did that at minimal cost. I will keep bringing my cars to Acme. Having to undertake a major repair with a shop we knew little about definitely made us a bit nervous, but from the very start Joe offered very competitive pricing and was very upfront about when he could get the work done. My son ended up having to leave the vehicle there and fly home and then go back a few weeks later for it while a used transmission was being shipped, but during that time Joe kept his car secure and even stored it inside as it was packed full. Even when there were some issues with the used transmission that we had sourced Joe worked with them on our behalf and got them to warranty it and send a different one. Today my son picked up the car and it runs beautifully.
