However, I'm giving his business two stars because of the receptionists in the front. Even though I had a referral from my doctor, and showed them my insurance card, they refused to take it, making me pay over $500 out of pocket. They never asked me over the phone for my insurance, nor when I arrived 15 minutes ahead of time for my appointment, even though this is standard procedure at literally every medical office I've ever been to. I'm not sure if they assumed that because I paid out of pocket the first time, I would do it again (didn't have insurance at that time), but I hadn't been to the center in over *2 years*. It's just so weird that they didn't think to double-check, and then they proceeded to blame me for not bringing it up, giving me an attitude and everything. Based on the whole experience, I really should give one star but Dr. Weingarten was great, so two stars it is.

They are located inside the Cerritos Medical Center, on the corner of Clarkdale Ave and Artesia Blvd. The major cross streets are Artesia Blvd and Pioneer Blvd, South of the 91 Freeway. Dr. Gina Wilvang was the one that treated me and she gave me a good overview of what I was going through. I had Plantar Fascitis which is an inflammation of the tissue that extends from the heel to the toes. Nothing that can't be treated as long as I wear the proper shoes, complete streching exercises, and massage the foot while also using ice to reduce the inflammation. My visit didn't last long at all and the wait time to see the doctor was minimal. Dr. Wilvang was courteous, friendly, and informative. I rated 3 stars because the visit was nothing out of the ordinary. If I continue to receive good treatment options and great service in the following visits, I'll adjust the rating accordingly. There are 2 other podiatrists that reside there. Dr. Shawn Todd Van Enoo and another female Korean podiatrist that I didn't catch the name of. Also, when completing the preliminary paperwork, I noticed that there's a $25 appt cancellation fee, if you don't make the visit or let them know within a certain period of time. Usually, people think this is ridiculous but I've seen this fee go as high as $75 or $100 at other medical practices so it's good to read before you sign.

Unfortunately I was not happy with the ingrown toe nail surgery Dr. Linam performed on me November…read more17th and the 2 hour wait to be seen when I had an appointment set. This wasn't my first surgery done so I knew after the fact something didn't go well I just wasn't exactly sure on what part. Dr. Linam was negligent with applying Phenol (acidic solution) on my toe/ skin after he surgically removed my ingrown on both sides of my toe. He left the q-tip swabs of phenol way much longer on my skin then recommended which lead to major or if not 2nd- 3rd degree burn. Phenol was left on for approximately 10min which lead to burning of my skin and infection. On 11/28 I notice my toe was in so much pain and was not healing as it should be & was showing signs of infection. A week an a half into my post op with Dr. Linam I went to urgent care because I couldn't take the pain. I was told by the urgent care doctor... I did indeed have an infection and was given antibiotics and was also told to follow up with Dr. Linam. On 12/1 I had an appointment with Dr. Linam for a follow up as recommended by the urgent care doctor. When Dr. Linam was evaluate my toe he proceeded to break off a wooden q-tip swab and poked at my infection toe. I asked him to stop and to please use a sterilize tool. He then told me that my toe looked good and I'll be fine. On 12/10 - 3 weeks after my toe surgery with Dr. Linam my toe is still infected and irritated. I had to seek out another doctor and made an appointment with a different podiatrist to exam my toe. My NEW podiatrist who is currently treating me with another round of antibiotics and told me I still have a an infection, tissue and possible nerve damage from Dr. Linam leaving the Phenol on way longer then recommended which basically burned my skin off, that lead to the infection and aggravated my toe tissue and nerve. Unfortunately this whole process has been an inconvenience and stressful. The chemical burn hurt and caused more pain then the actual nail removal. This was definitely negligent practice from Dr. Linam. I will never go back to Dr. Linam.

So much more than a pedicure at a nail salon. I am not a fan of pedicures but Ari changed that with her patience and gentle touch. She took her time and talked me through the process so that those little tugs or pulls would not take me by surprise. Vicky was very patient and gentle as well. I googled her name and the name of the business she left in the automated message and got to their main line. I asked the receptionist if someone from their office had called my work line and I gave her the number that had called ME. I was put on hold while her staff investigated, then the receptionist came back on line and said she didn't know what number that was. I then called the number that called my work phone, on my cell phone so that the receptionist could hear the message but this time I got through. A female answered, I'm assuming it's Dr Kawam, and she was incredibly rude and condescending. I explained to her that I was returning her call and she asked if I was a telemarketer, to which I told her no. I tried explaining to her that I was simply returning HER call and she then repeated several times that she was blocking my number. All I tried to do was return a phone call. I'm not even a patient of hers and I got a taste of what her personality is like. Will not do business with her and I actually AM looking for a place to do laser toe fungus treatment with. lol the funniest part was that she kept trying to get the last word and reiterated that she was blocking my number.
