After attending their birth classes and baby classes as a first time mom I was feeling confident even though things with Dr were not great (felt rushed and not listened or cared for). I was told by my Dr their staff would talk to me about birth preferences, wishes, and concerns because they may not be the one delivering the baby.... That never happened During my labor the following happened Staff was not supportive,encouraging, helpful- it was cold the interactions and they couldn't care less The Dr on call and nurses were audibly sighing and not actively speaking or assisting me during the labor There was no explanation on what and why things were being done to me - for example if not in an emergency situation why was a catheter used on me and not give me the chance/option to use a bed pan? Especially as I was unmedicated?? Why was I forced on my back when it was the one position that brought me blinding pain? No care - after being stitched up and in emotional distress not one staff member seemed to care. It was very much baby is here and move on. Which made my 2 days in hospital that much more difficult. Not only is he an outstanding Neurosurgeon, but he is a caring and ethical man. Faced with a frightening spinal surgery, I saw Dr. Sheldon for another opinion. After the most thorough exam I ever had, Dr. Sheldon took the time to review my MRI and X-rays with me. He actually explained what I was looking at on the MRI. After discussing my concerns and fears about having the surgery, he persuaded me to try alternative treatments. He corroborated the serious nature of the surgery and the risks involved and told me honestly that I should not rush into this. I found that extremely impressive, since he operates for a living. I would recommend Dr. Sheldon to anyone with a spinal or brain issue. This is when you really need a doctor who is more interested in the welfare of their patient versus the financial reward.

Fast forward to 2023 and he did an extension of my fusion. I knew something was wrong when fentanyl was not helping the pain. I did a second and third opinion and based on multiple imaging reports found out that Dr Dagam placed the screws too deep thus they were pushing into my spinal column and had cut rods from my previous surgery. In March of this year I underwent an extensive surgery removing the old, misplaced hardware and had it all replaced and extended due to the damage. I can no longer work, enjoy the activities I used to do daily and will always regret seeking him out.

Utterly pathetic!…read more After being referred from the Costco eye center (he needs to find someone else to refer his patients) for having a larger than normal dilapidation of sight I was sent on a wild goose chase By these doctors. This goose chase included an MRI a CT of the arteries of my neck and a serious surgical procedure that has left visible permanent scars. Due to the utterly pathetic original diagnosis I received at this clinic other doctors treated me with large doses of prednisone. I am now type 2 diabetic as a result. Luckily I consulted a very good neurologist in Illinois who had me seen within 72 hours at Wheaton eye clinic/NorthWestern by a Nuero Opthamologist who advised me, and the clinic, that he/they could find nothing that supported the original or any diagnosis (and wrote and tell them so) I would not under any circumstances go here if you have any under lying conditions as this clinic is simply not experienced enough to handle it and not self aware enough to pass you onto people that do have expertise beyond the ability of the clinic. While my physicians could only offer more medications. Dr. Alexander has offered me a better understanding of how the systems of the body work together. He has given me not only preventive strategies to stop a flare up before it starts but strategies that quell the flare-ups quickly. And when my shoulder was injured Dr Alexander reduced the pain from level 8 to a level 2 in a matter of days.
