He figured out that most of the problems I was having with my Sony Alpha had to do with settings, and solved that while I was standing at the counter in the shop, before he even sent it out to the repair guy (I still needed a sensor cleaning). A million thanks to Jeremiah at Jeremiah's Photo Corner, whom I sought out for help before a recent bear-watching trip to Alaska. I've never been one to take photos, and had never used a camera with settings, removable lenses, etc. But because I wanted to travel alone, if I was going to have good pictures, I had to learn how to take a decent photo. Jeremiah advised me what camera to buy, showed me how to use it and then helped me retrieve the photos when I returned home. Because of Jeremiah, I have photos from a once-in-a-lifetime trip that I wouldn't have had without his help, and I'm grateful. If you get a chance, stop by his shop - the neighborhood is a wonderful, artistic area to poke around in, and Jeremiah's corner shop is an amazing slice of history, and is infused with his true passion for photography. He's a skilled photographer himself and he does portraits of people using a technique I've never seen before; they're unique and haunting and memorable. I like the technique so much, I'm trying to decide who I like enough to get a portrait of them done, lol. ***** The best kept secret in Sonoma County ***** This is a place to go when you want to talk photography and buy camera gear. I happened upon this shop out of nowhere and consider it a favorite stop when I'm in Santa Rosa. Ofelia (the Shop's terrier) is usually waiting to greet as you enter. There are photo supplies on all the walls which I love to check out as I make my way to the counter. Enough about the atmosphere and more about the owner, Jeremiah. This guy matches my passion for photography and has an answer for all my questions. He even put together and taught a photo lighting course that was awesome. My wife wanted to know what I wanted for Father's Day and I told her I wanted anything from Jeremiah's Photo Corner. Of course I promptly went to Their Facebook page and posted that I wanted a Gary Fong Lightsphere. Well when my wife went to the shop they were ready for here and now I'm getting what I want. We went here just passing through on our way to the redwoods after going to Russian River Brewery. We had an old Polaroid camera and wanted to see if there was any film available. Our experience here was amazing. They were totally honest and the prices were great (beyond the fact that Impossible Project film is WAY overpriced). They were totally upfront about the absurd pricing on replacement film and talked to us honestly about our options. I bought some Illford C-41 black and white 35mm film anyways because the experience was so great. If you live in the area you should DEFINITELY come here for your photo needs. You'll leave happy for sure. I'd love to stop by again on my next photo excursion to the redwoods. read more

Friend and I dropped into this shop after brunch at Spinster Sisters across the street. The store looks bigger from the outside, but oh so quaint! The owner Jeremiah is so easy-going friendly and welcoming from the moment you step in. Good vibes all around. I spotted a Canon AE-1 on a shelf of vintage cameras next to the cash register, so we chatted a bit about it (my dad passed his down to me). You can tell this guy is really passionate and knows a ton about cameras. There are a lot of Instax cameras sold here. I've been tempted to get one for over a year now and if I ever do, I think I just might make the 1+ hour drive up here to buy one (rather than go on Amazon). The owner quite enthusiastically offered to take our photos with the Instax and said that we could keep them - one each! I really expected him to ask us to leave the photo in his mini album filled with Instax pics, but he was kind enough to say we can put them on our refrigerators, haha. A nice neighborhood shop to stop in and take a look with no pressure to buy - but now, if I ever have photo-needs I have a place on my list! read more

I go to Jeremiah's for ALL my matting and framing projects/supplies. I've been following Jeremiah since Wilson Street. Now he's in the perfect art enclave on Sebastopol Rd and A Street. I dig the fact I can get any size of framing glass cut there for odd sized pictures... It's a cool scene down there in Santa Rosa's art district. If you're someone who mats and frames your own pictures, treat yourself and head down to the A Street art enclave. There's some good food too. read more

He helped instruct me on how to use a camera I was purchasing that was a different film type than I'm used to and never once scoffed at my lack of knowledge. Such an awesome experience here! This shop is a gem hidden among all of the other digital photo shops. Not only were there all of the necessary items to start a darkroom, but they gave very helpful advice and assistance. The store itself is mostly centered around film photography, but there is also a little digital merchandise. This is a great place so GO THERE! read more

This is a fairly new business (1 year, yay!) and I believe is the re-incarnation of NorthBay Photo Supply, which closed. I study photography in San Francisco, but live in Rohnert Park. This store is a gem and a wonderful resource when I need photo supplies. For instance: in May, I needed some Moab Colorado Fiber Satine and I couldn't find it anywhere online! I had already printed half my final project and wasn't about to change paper types. I was told by one company that Moab just wasn't producing it at the moment. I popped over to Jeremiah's Photo Corner and they saved my butt. If you are a local photographer, you've probably already been in this tiny, clean, cute store and experienced their friendly service. They were able to determine that it was printer error and not the photographer as the place that printed them stated it was. They printed out beautiful pictures and saved my day. Even though it seems that half the film[slides] that used to be available a decade ago are now gone, they still have what's left, & even have refrigerated film, just like North Bay had. We waited half an hour to pick up film without acknowledgment of our presence while Jeremiah chatted, only to be informed the film had not arrived yet that day. wow wow wow. What else is there really to say? I went to Jeremiah's the first time to get a light diffuser, and was referred there by a photographer. She told me that everyone was great and very helpful, but I'm kind of a negative nancy sometimes and didn't really believe it. I went in anyways, and wouldn't you know it, she was right! So incredible. Jeremiah actually helped me go through like 7 different diffusers, took them all outside with me and showed me the different things each did, and recommended the best one for me based on my needs. I have since rented lenses through them, made many purchases, and just truly enjoy any experience I have there. Love small businesses like this! read more
