I went there with my family (5 altogether) and it was a delicate setting inside which we loved, calm atmosphere, comfortable chairs, welcoming staff. We sat and ordered from the Lunch Menu and the short wait was worthwhile, the food was absolutely delicious! The assortment of foods are varied and the portions are filling as well as tasty, we all ordered jerk either chicken or wings except the youngest who ordered BBQ wings, we all had rice and peas, coleslaw and dumplings for the end, it was all incredibly scrumptious, all food was heated properly, tasted good with lots of flavour, the menu was very well thought-out, there wasn't one staple jerk, you could have jerk wings or jerk chicken, you could have spicy, mild, whichever, the menu was put together very well. The eating in was very nice, very humble setting and excellent customer service. Definitely going back sometime soon, the quality of the food was magnificent and the prices were better than great. LOVED IT! The fact that they have a delivery/take-away and pick-up service is all the more fabulous. We tried Jerk Hut last Friday night and were really impressed! Unfortunately we went to dine at 9pm only to find out that they had run out of chicken, and seeing as jerk salmon was the only other main option, we decided to go for it. It was so delicious and spicy, and came with plenty of yummy rice and peas. We were also given spicy chicken wings a bit into our meal which were also fantastic! The manager was kind enough to give us a round of drinks for the inconvenience of having no chicken which was really nice of them. The owners and their family/staff, although maybe lacking a little confidence are friendly and genuine and helpful and take pride in their business which is great. Perhaps the lighting could have been turned down just a bit, and maybe some more suitable music, but the place was busy and there was a nice vibe and we totally enjoyed our meal. read more

One word for Jerkhut: perfect. I have gone to Jerk Hut on a multitude of occasions, the first time i went to Jerk Hut was for my friends birthday. It simply is an ideal place to have a party dinner, the seats are comfortale and it seats around 40 people I believe, JH has a very relaxed atmosphere with soothing jazz playing in the background. The staff are very friendly and often came to the table to make sure we were ok. I live in IG8 and to my delight I found out JH deliver to my house, you can order other the phone however i recommend ordering over the internet on http://www.jerkhut.co.uk the site is very user friendly and you get free 3 slices off platain per meal you order. Another brilliant thing is the food is halah which i rarely find in carribean restaurants when i go, i wish JH the best of luck and as long as they're open i will be there! read more

Jerk Hut- a complete revelation! Went yesterday evening with the family for the 1st time on the spur of the moment and was really impressed by the quality of the food & the portion sizes. We spent a couple of weeks in JA this summer, the Jerk Hut's jerk chicken was tastier and indeed way better than any we had on the island. Value for money wise, it is amazing, we all had meals with rice & peas coleslaw, with some sides of plantain, festival and dumplings to share. We couldn't finish the sides, but there was no way we were leaving the main meal as it was so good. The Jerk Hut's staff without prompting brought us some take away containers for the unfinished sides and the chicken that my 10 year old couldn't manage. So if you want somewhere local that serves really nice food and are not too bothered about 'ambiance' the the Jerk Hut is the place. read more

My husband and i dined at Jerk Hut tonight the restaurant is really clean and well presented with lovely chilled out music in the background. We ordered BBQ chicken wings for starters which the sauce was simply amazing and they really tasted like they had come straight off the BBQ For mains we ordered Jerk chicken breast fillet,rice and peas with coleslaw and Red Mullet fillet with salad all really tasty and cooked to perfection. We washed this down with homemade ginger juice which must be sampled. A big thank you to the staff especially Martin the Manager thank you for taking time out to chat with us and making us feel so welcome. The Jerk Hut catered for us and 50 guests on Sunday 9 February 2014 at a Party in Walthamstow. The feedback from our guests was fantastic with several people saying that it was the best Jerk Chicken they had ever had. The jerk salmon was supposed to be there for the non meat eaters but they barely got a look in as it was delicious. Dealing with Martin beforehand was easy and he catered for personal needs. The food arrived at the agreed time and it was very professionally packaged. In addition to the jerk chicken / salmon we had dumplings, coleslaw and macaroni cheese and everything can only be described as superb. One final thing the portion size was generous and there was more than enough for our guest to have multiple portions which they did with smiles on their faces. read more

I ordered a takeaway, half jerk chicken+rice and peas, coleslaw & a ginger beer. Prompt delivery, friendly driver! Food was presented in plastic like food box, nicely sat and presented in box, It would be good If food were put into plastic containers separately, chicken in one container, rice in another. Moving on the Jerk Chicken was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I couldn't believe how much I had on my plate and It was meaty!!! The taste is simply the best, 10 out of 10! Rice and peas were nice but maybe less peas next time, coleslaw was nice, weren't really a fan of the plantin,overcooked & abit chunky. I have recently moved into east London, and found it difficult to find good restaurants until for someones birthday I ended up at 'THe Jerk Hut'. My first impression of the venue was excellent. They have proper dining chairs for you to sit on. Then came the foodit was so delicious that I was sampling food off of my friends plate. The portions were perfect, and the sauce for my salmon was out of this world (watch out Levi Roots). This is a must. My recommendation would be to go on multiple visits so you can sample the whole menu. The manager was excellent too. read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times to eat in and also takeaway. no lie the food is amazing!! well at least the food i tasted which was the jerk salmon(never tried before) and the jerk wings! i also had the jerk chicken and myself and the people i was with where extremely satisfied. what added to the whole experience is that the staff are really friendly and made me feel like i was at home eating dinner with the family. there are a few carribean restaurants in this area but i must admit this is by far the best, taste 5/5 quality 5/5 oh and price 6/5! read more

For £5 you can get Jerk chicken, rice & peas, coleslaw, and a can of drink to take away at lunch time, that deal is amazing, 6.50 after 16:30 but wow, the portions are huge, i struggle to eat all of it. I recommend eating in if you want the smell of true jerk in the air while you eat, the smell reminds me of when i was in Jamaica. The jerk chicken is TRUE jerk chicken, one of the best ive tasted. Tried this just today. Spent just under £20.00 for two of us. We got some Rice & Peas, Jerk Chicken, Macaroni Pie, Dumpling and a can of drink. This was made up of the price for 1 meal £6.50, and we upgraded the chicken to a whole side and added the dumplings and Macaroni Pie. It was warm when delivered to our door and very delicious. I would class myself has a really fussy eater and came across Jerkhut early on in the year while taking a stroll with my wife. The chicken here is halal and absolutely amazing I always go back once a month to get my fix! Owner is a really nice guy - service could improve a little bit with the younger members of staff recently behind the till but apart from that definitely recommend this place to all family and friends. read more

Fantastic Jerk Chicken takeaway & restaurant based in Walthamstow, just around the corner from the station. I have been here numerous times and have to say the food is always tasty, reasonable priced and they always have a new dish each week to keep things interesting . I ordered a delivery on 23/08/2013 and amazed how quickly they delivered. Overall the food was delicious, great size portions, very affordable. Jerk chicken was very tasty, coconut cake and plantain was absolutely yummy. Coleslaw was very nice but could have been packaged separately. Jerk fish ordered the sauce was too strong it detract from the flavour of the fish. When the meal was sent out the cold colslaw was put in with hot food, that is a no no, that would fail under the food and hygiene act. Put the salad in a separate container. The rice was nice portions a good size but my fish was burnt. read more
