He truly cares about his patients and gives them not only phenomenal care for injuries and illness, but caring advice for quality of life. You will not leave his office without being given advice and resources on what more you can do to live a healthier happier life. He has helped my family through many difficult times that we have dealt with in the last 15 years in a professional and caring manner. His expertise in sports medicine is so helpful. Most primary physicians don't know much about athletic injuries. Dr Hizon is far ahead of most primary providers when injuries are involved. He is a great advocate making sure patients get MRI's, x-rays and every other service in a timely manner. Jerry Literally knows everyone in Temecula and San Diego. When my kid needed ACL surgery or my rotator cuff surgery he had amazing networks with top of their profession orthopedic surgeons a phone call away. My mother passed away a year ago and he was with her physically and emotionally throughout the 10 year process: cardiologists, ophthalmologists, rheumatologist, neurologist, dermatologist, Physical and Occupational therapists, home care agencies and hospice. He listens to your needs and where you are in life and sets you up with the correct services. Having Dr Hizon as your physician is having a caring, well educated advocate looking out for you. He keeps up with State of the art training, and teaches at Universities. He is involved in community care and education for our youth, doing presentations in local schools and community programs. Sometimes the wait to see Hizon can be long, that is because he gives every patient the time they deserve. If time is an issue his awesome PA can be more accessible. I recommend Dr Hizon and Motion Medical very highly for all medical needs. He is kind and caring and def made my mother's last years such a positive experience; although it was challenging and difficult. She loved him like a good friend. Can't thank Dr. Hizon and his staff enough for their quick response to my needs. I had a situation that needed immediate attention and needed to have lab work before my appointment. The staff acted quickly and efficiently to get this done. When I met with Dr. Hizon he had all the information needed to treat my case. My case was one that required immediate action and he swiftly made a diagnosis and sent me directly to the ER where I would be in a safe environment for my needs. I cannot thank Dr. Hizon and his staff enough for the caring and professional way they handled my case. Make this guy your Doc. Went in for a pain in my shoulder and arm, he didn't mess around, got me right in for an MRI. Called me in for a review immediately upon receiving the results. He let me know straight up to go see a surgeon, (note: this was after one doctor put me on a steroid and antibiotics treatment then sent me to PT without as much as an x-ray) but it didn't end there, he walked me through the other needed pre surgery requirements; Cardiologist, Hematologist, and his referral for the surgeon was spot on. He gave me the thumbs up to have my 3 level Cervical Corpectomy and has already scheduled an appointment for the near future to start working on improving my quality of life. Spending 6 years as a professional bull rider, and the past 30 in heavy civil construction the 57 year old body was starting to break down. Dr. Hizon has me feeling pretty good about the future. He is about exercise, nutrition, and prevention. You want a pill pusher better check someone else out, you want a doctor to partner with for the betterment of you, he's your guy. read more

My husband and I just moved to Temecula from South Orange County, when I received the report that I needed a knee replacement-urgently. I needed a pre-op ASAP! The office staff and Dr. Hizon were fabulous! I really appreciated the fact that all forms were accessible on the website, moreover I didn't have to waste precious time (his and mine) going over paperwork, he had already reviewed and was highly prepared to review during our teleconference. His call was exactly right on time and we were able to get to business immediately! How fortunate are we, to have found this doctor and his staff. He went above and beyond, by having me come to his home driveway, so he could listen to my heart and lungs, and then do the paperwork necessary for a 8:00 surgery the next morning! I have known Dr. Hizon for a long time . He is the best Dr you could hope for. He really listens to you and provides the best course of treatment to benefit whatever you are seeing him for. He is smart ! Very funny ! And always has a wait to be seen , but once it's your turn it is always worth waiting . With the new telemedicine I was able to schedule an appointment very quick and is was a great way to be able to get your visit without leaving home ! The office staff are also very nice . Lisa is extremely efficient and doesn't miss a beat . Dona made the telemedicine appointment easy in regards to getting the documentation that needed to be scanned to my file and taking payment and immediately getting your receipt emailed to you. I have always avoided doctors like the plague. But that all changed when I met Dr. Jerry Hizon, he is really the first primary care doctor that I have had (one other but we wont talk about him) and I am 54 now if that tells you anything. Dr. Hizon is helping me get back in the groove again after 2 DVT clots in my leg and several clots in my lungs, by the grace of God I am still alive today. And now I actually look forward to going in for my appointments. Excited to be working with Dr. Hizon to getting back to the top of my game. I am an avid bicyclist who sought out a sports medicine physician. In addition to identifying a heart condition, he made an insightful diagnosis (hemochromatosis) that likely saved my life. On top of that, he introduced me to low carb, high fat diet (ketogenic) that has improved my health and that of my family and friends who followed my lead. I have seen him several times and each time I learn something to improve my health. I think he prescribes a healthy diet and lifestyle more often than medication. Almost 3 years ago my health issues exceeded the abilities of a doctor I really liked and was referred to Dr. Hizon. I was very pleased with the move especially since I was reluctant to leave my prior doctor, he has been awesome! He has gotten me through several cancer diagnoses, and other difficult health issues. He and his staff have always been especially helpful navigating the health care system, insurance "stuff" and just being caring about me as a person. His use of technology has been helpful as well, Patient Portal and text message communication between visits. Good doctor and nice guy! Tends toward nutrition and holistic.... But major problem is wait times... Had a confirmed appointment for 10:45. Sat in the small, very,basic outer waiting room until called at 11:50. Then, after the usual previsit checks, blood pressure, etc. in an examination room, waited there another thirty minutes for the Doctor's arrival. He spent the needed time to effectively check and discuss recent lab reports and recommendations. I finally left the building at 12:45. Two hours for a 20 minute consultation... Dr. Jerry Hizon is truly one of a kind. Every time I come to his office I am in and out with outstanding patient care. My family has been seeing him over the years and there has never been a trip to his office that was wasted. He is straightforward with no fluff. I have been to doctor after doctor for fibromyalgia. I prayed and prayed to be seen by the right one. My prayers were answered with Hizon. So knowledgeable, very progressive and anti medication. He is all about holistic healing and nutrition. Many doctors think they know everything especially abt fribo when in actuality they know jack squat. I have been a patient of Dr Hizon for years and recently underwent body sculpting and couldn't be happier. The procedure was relatively painless and took very little time. Great sports and family doc! Dr Hizon has been very thorough and professional with the treatment of a few injuries I have had this past year. He is very friendly and has an excellent bed side manner. He really listens to what you have to say. The office and treatment rooms are very nice as well. The average wait time for my (3) appointments has been around 20 mins--pretty good for being in California. The staff and facility are very nice. Dr. Hizon is an incredibly relatable doctor. He truly cares about his patients'. He is very nice and extremely knowledgable. It's great to have such a fun and caring doctor. I always look forward to seeing him.
