Had a blow out on the LIE, was able to drive off and Jerry's Auto was right at the ramp getting off. Pulled in and one guy came out and said wow , tire was completely off the rim. He said he had to order a tire and it would take about 4 hours. I said I was in a hurry and could they just put on the donut, another worker overheard and said I could run to Glen Cove and pick up the new tire.... long story short, they got me the new tire and I was back on the road in 62 min. From pulling in. Great customer service, very friendly and caring. Other customers were there as well and saw they were also being treated with the utmost care. Please believe the negative review of this business because it's absolutely true. Unfortunately, I came across this business after my vehicle was ran into while parked during midnight hours. Long story short, the police called this towing company to tow my vehicle and the one that hit me. In the morning, I am making arrangements with my insurance company to get it picked up to have it delivered to my mechanic. Joe from Jerry's Auto Towing informs me and the insurance company representative that we are not able to pick up the car because there is no one there to release it, he continues to explain that it is not under his job description and he is not able to do anything and we have to wait until Monday (this is Friday 9am conversation). Of course we are confused as to why would a business be open but yet not leave anyone in charge to release the cars. I explained I needed to pick up my car because I need it to get it fix for work ASAP. Joe (if that was his real name) was rude and unprofessional, while calling me 'hun' and stating that my car was not drivable unless I knew how to do magic. I hung up the phone since I thought there was nothing that could be done. I decide to go on yelp and look them up and that's when I learned who I was dealing with. I learned how they purposely hold your vehicle in order to charge more money. How they are rude and unprofessional and the biggest one yet how they are scammers. Of course, I called Joe back and demanded the release of my vehicle. They purposely want my vehicle there for the whole weekend so they can be able to commit there scams. I made Joe aware of the bad reviews his explanation for the bad reviews was "because we are a black business." I was flabbergasted!!!! Please keep in mind I have never met Joe in person, this conversation was over the phone, I was not aware he was black and yet I have already experienced bad service with them. I experienced how rude they were, how unprofessional and I was also in the processes of being scammed because supposedly there was no one there to release my car. I explained this to him with the addition that I am Dominican (not white) and that him playing the race card was ridiculous on his part. Eventually, he called me at 11AM and told me he had the information needed to release my vehicle and that I needed to pay $968.93 Cash. Now he magically got what he needed in order to release my vehicle when all this heated argument could of easily been avoided. My car was picked up at 4AM that same day driven 0.4 miles from the incident and it was almost $1,000??!!!! This is why they are called scammers not because they are black. Please stay away from this place!!! Unfortunately, the insurance company didn't pick up my car until Monday (I know they were happy, they got exactly what they wanted). I attached the receipt they charged from Friday to Monday. Also note being a cash only business is also a scam. They wrote two separate receipts one for the towing for $1,093.85 and the other from Jerry's Auto repair $200. If you don't need your car tow ASAP, take your time and do your research before towing your vehicle. But definitely stay away from this place... lesson learned. read more

I broke down when my rear tire disintegrated and the AAA sent them to rescue me. It all worked out very well. The gentleman who made the initial service call was very helpful. Since I didn't want to drive back to NJ on a donut, I decided to drive to their station for a new tire. Everybody was friendly at Jerry's and it's even an Optimum wifi hot spot. They didn't have my tire in stock but eventually they were able to secure one and replace it for me and I was on my way again. In retrospect, the price for the tire replacement was high but at the time, I was just glad to be able to get back on the road. read more

Worst customer care and concern ever. Poor lady's keys were locked in her car and her puppy was stuck inside as was her pocketbook. The driver would only help after papers were filled out and he was paid. Her pocketbook was in the car, so a kind man offered to pay him to get the door open and get the puppy out (it was 90 degrees)...nope !! Has to be the ladies money...pocketbook is still in the car !! Finally , after 45 minutes and everyone in the parking lot is getting upset, he takes his time and finally opens it. I would highly recommend AGAINST Jerry's towing. They were great when working with them at the time of my car's accident, which was done by an employee of a local car wash. BUT, they would only tow to their tow shop and would not release the car when requested to my auto body shop tow until cash of over $2586.00 was paid. Vehicle was in an major accident with body and mechanical damage. The body was repaired, but mechanically they did not diagnose the issues correctly. I day I got the car I had to return it and a part needed to be replaced. Soon after starting having issues that made the vehicle unsafe to driver. Followed up with another repair shop and right now I am 5500 dollars out of pocket, unless insurance is going to cover. Tried to address issue with Jerry's and they basically blew me off. Besito , thank you for the $300 tow bill that follows from dinning with you My guest and I took the responsible action of calling an uber since we ended up having a couple of additonal drinks after our meal. We come back the following morning to find out our car was towed? We were then advised "jerrys towing" picked up the vehicle. When I arrived at jerrys towing im advised by an Angela at the front desk " besito called for the tow at 12am"???? Angela goes her company jerry towing has 24/7 towing contract in that specific lot. Can tow away any vehicle at any time..... Back to Besito I go to make them aware jerrys is saying they ordered the tow and I wanted to show i was a paying patron to try and have this cleared up. I also made them aware there are no signs in the lot stating a vehicle will be towed after a certain time. Also they should be advising all customers to not leave there cars in the lot. I was given a $50 gift card and the name of the management company who owns the lot as they are saying they didnt call the tow. At this point everyone is pointing the finger at each other. This might be the first of these reviews as I was told at jerrys there was a total of 7 tows from besito last night ! In sum, you have a resturant from what it seems is encouraging drinking and driving hope they're aware of dram shop liability. You also have a tow/garage company whose building is one 20 mph windy day from collapsing whose owner cant even answer the bell when his scam is in queston. Jerry's towing runs a car theft/extortion ring. Town of North Hempstead towing law requires a call from owner/resident to initiate a tow. He has his drivers police and sit in wait (harbor view shopping, etc) and they poach cars without call from business owner. TONH law also says if the rightful car owner shows up with keys, a tow company can only charge 1/2 of tow. His drivers charge full price (cash). He has his drivers claim they have a contract - but contracts don't have the right to supersede town law. If you've been towed by Jerry, check into your legal options because it was probably car theft. read more

"Zero Stars" There are so many awful reviews of this tow shop, and they should all be believed. They are complete scam artists. They completely overcharge for all of their services, especially if you find yourself towed from the Harbourview Shoppes (with whom we are completely convinced they have some kind of shady deal with). When we went to pick our car up we were told it was $270, but once the tow truck driver saw our brunch doggie bags (we had a gift card to Kyma, and went for brunch) he told us the cost was now $300! What a complete scam. The sad thing is, we were planning to shop at Fratelli's in the Harbourview Shoppes and a few other shops in town but the whole town lost our business because of the owner of Harbourview Shoppes and the crooks at Jerry's. ZERO STARS. Jerry is a Scam artist and Extortionist. He hides out in his tow truck across the street from the parking lot of Besito and Kotobuki restaurants in Roslyn, where you can't see him. He waits like a vulcher to see if you leave the lot. There are no posted signs that the lot is a tow zone. We went to Kyma restaurant just next door and returned one hour later to find our car gone. As soon as we got there, here comes Jerry who was watching us from across the street, tells us he already towed our car, but we can't get it back until the next morning. Not only did he steal our car, he leaves us stranded there, and we have to go back to his lot the next day so he could EXTORT $300 IN CASH from us. The car was right nearby I Roslyn Heights, but he has to spend the rest of the night scamming other people out of money. Don't leave your car in this lot if you are going to Kyma. If I could have posted a zero, I would have, believe me.... This dung filled shop is right on the westbound LIE service road, by Jefferson Ave, and the spot where my battery decided to die on me. Initially I thought I was in luck having my ride quit in me, right in front of a tow shop, only to find out that dying anywhere else would have been better. It's a AAA authorized shop, so I figured that I could perhaps ask a favor for a 30 second jump start. The first goon I encountered said he couldn't do it because his tow truck, with a AAA logo didn't have a jump pack or jumper cables, but that he would find the boss and ask him to speak with me. (yeah, right). After 10 minutes I saw him conducting a B.S. session with another worker inside one of the car bays, so I looked around and found a heavy set guy, who, apparently was the boss of jerrys. I told him that my ride had died literally 100 feet west of his shop, in a freaky bad spot (a turn lane with rush hour traffic getting annoyed that I was blocking their egress. I get it...). He responded with "that'll be $86 fir a service call". I actually thought he was kidding and said "seriously?, I'm a AAA member and I'm not even 100 get away. I want necessarily looking for a freebie, but $86 for 30 seconds of time is a bit egregious, no? Don't get me wrong, I believe in free enterprise and that everyone should make money, but ripping people off is just poor karma. And I hope he gets his just desserts because I can only imagine that I'm not the first that this guy was such an butt hole to. Anyway he told me to call "f'n" AAA figuring I was going to end up being serviced by him since he's the closest AAA participating tow guy to where I was.... Anyway, I called AAA and told them I needed help with a jump and to have ANYONE other than these guys service me, and explained what had happened. They ended up sending another provider thank goodness. I told them I had my car with me, just to get someone dispatched. Truth be told I was on a motorcycle and AAA doesn't really jump them, but rather tows them for a hefty reward to the AAA tow shop. I didn't really need this. I only wanted/needed a jump start. AAA called twice while I was waiting for their service, and asked if I was on a motorcycle, to which I told them no. Again, just to get someone dispatched for a jump. BTW, The battery on a road king is accessed easier than on ANY car, so no harm, no foul. Apparently the shop owner of jerrys called to warn them that I was on a motorcycle obviously. Certainly I didn't tell them, but nasty old Jerry must have. Total Richard move. Anyway, steer clear of this guy as he doesn't deserve anyone's money or their business. read more

Yikes! My tire on my Lexus RX 350 went flat and I happened to be near this place. The guy there said "oh, you need a new tire, we can order one for you, your car doesn't keep spares" He actually thought we were stupid and didn't know if my car had a spare or not. They tried to pull a fast one on us. Then my friend came and helped us take the spare out (which was under the trunk) and before we started to put the spare on he said "GET OFF my property, you have to change your tire on the road" I mean we cant stay on your property for 10-15 mins just to change our tire. Forget service, but they can't even be decent human beings. I can't believe a spot like this exists in my neighborhood. Buyer beware, please. I didn't read the reviews until after AAA told me that this would be the nearest towing and auto place. Despite the horrible words used to describe this place, I went. The towing guy had me wait about an hour because they had so many people with problematic cars. The guy who put Ruby (my Ford Taurus)) on the truck was really nice. When I got there, I was greeted by Eric, who took really good care of me, especially after my clearly pretentious father showed up. Over the course of the next few days, my parents and I negotiated a deal wit them. My transmission was destroyed, but they offered me a cash deal of $2400 including all work done. I called other places, including the Ford dealership I bought the car from and everyone estimated $4,000 to fix it excluding labor. So, I stayed there. Communication wise, this place was a little off, in that they took a long time to get back to me. Every time I called them, they asked me a hundred questions, only to put me on the phone with someone else. I soon became smart and just asked for Eric. My car took a week to fix, but given the damage and the amount of work that had to be done, I completely understood. I had to delay a day in getting it because of scheduling conflicts, but I made sure I was not charged a storage fee. Today I picked up my car. They then mentioned that my car could use an oil change, especially if I was planning on traveling (which I intend to this weekend). So, where most places would charge $20 for an oil change, I paid $32 in cash, no tax. Whatever, it needed to be done. They said my car should be good for another year or two before it completely goes. My car has only a life expectancy of about 9-10 years in general. I've had it 9.5 years. I'd say if I get another year or two out of it, that would be awesome. But, we will see if their work pays off. read more

After being stranded with a flat In suburbia Long Island, BMW roadside told me Jerry's would be towing me to my dealer 8 miles away. After three hours and multiple lies and phone called they arrived. The guy was nice but looked in a hurry, once my car was up on his truck I decided to head home. I took the LIE west towards the city where I live and saw the tow truck in front of me, wait the dealer is EAST 8 miles....tried calling him- no answer. Called BMW roadside- they said I agreed to have the car stored overnight at Jerry's because the dealer didn't have night drop off's. YES THE DEALER DOES!!!! Furthermore, I never agreed to anything of this sorts- after talking with several supervisors and a director of the program the following day- needless to say they will not be getting anymore work from BMW.
