I don't normally post a review, but felt I needed to share how friendly and helpful Tony was to me. I needed some touch up paint for my SUV and the parts department at my dealership said it was discontinued. They recommended T & D and Tony was able to provide me with a container of the paint. For such a small job, Tony took the time to come outside, survey the car and even offered to put a clear coat on after my touch up. It is refreshing to see such customer service in this day and age. I would highly recommend Tony and T & D to anyone who needs his services. read more

Dropped my car off on a Friday after calling them in the begining of that week to make sure Friday was ok. They said sure thanks for the call. I was optimistic bc they were appreciative for the business. However my car sat there since 9am on Friday to 12pm on Saturday and was never touched never looked at never quoted. When I. Called at noon on Saturday to get the quote they didn't have it yet. When I asked if they would even be working on the car today they said no. And are closed on Sunday. I responded with do u think I don't have work on Monday? He told me to come pick the car up then. No I'm sorry..no I forgot to mention we were super busy no sorry ma'am we had too many cars or a call out...nope just come get ur car then. Fuck these people. read more

I was involved in an accident a couple years ago and my car was collided into. The police at the scene called T&D Towing to tow my car and hold it. They had it for a week before I could figure everything out with the other driver, police, and my insurance. I went to pick up the car and they tried to charge me $1200 for keeping it there when they hadn't mentioned the up charge fees and hadn't made the effort to tell me anything. Then the guy tried to convince me to sell him my car for $200 because it was "undrivable" and now I realize it was to strip its parts and make a profit. Did not go back to these guys and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

This Towing Company charged more than agreed, and tried to keep the car. Another guy said Tony started to part out small parts of his classic car while it was in detention and replace with aftermarket parts! There were many, many people who have been screwed over. This Towing Company has paid one person $1,000 to take down his scathing review. It probably had done this for others, as the reviews were so bad before (1 star). So I would not trust the reviews. T & D was so accommodating & professional. I can't tell you grateful I was when I got my truck back good looking brand new! I know they also touched up things we never even spoke about. I was involved in a car accident in Glen Cove. I was in a state of shock after the accident as the other driver blew through a stop sign t-boning my car. Tony was there soon after the accident. He not only calmed my nerves but assisted with moving the car out of the intersection. He proceeded to be of great help throughout the repair process. Assisting me with insurance matters and keeping me updated. He is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Sadly I was in an accident where my car was declared a total loss. I'm in a very bad financial position and not in a position to really get a new car. My car was towed to T & D. Throughout the process with Geico, Tony Jr was very informative in explaining all my options as I truly was not aware. He never pressured me to do anything. I am very thankful for his advice because he helped me more than my insurance company did. If in the future I need work done to my next car(praying I don't) just on how he treated me, explained to me thugs that he went out of his way to explain which should have been by Geico, T & D earned my future business. Tony Douso Sr. who is the owner of the place is the rudest person I have ever encountered. It's people like this who I cannot believe exist. Overcharges, makes things up. I grew up in a family of auto people and the things he was saying don't even make sense. Shame on him and his company. I will make sure I tell everyone I know in the Chamber of two towns, one right here in Glen Cove, to make sure they stay away from this crook. I wish I can give No Stars. My worse local towing experience ever - with T&D Towing. My daughter got into an accident on Friday June 24 on Sea Cliff Avenue in front of the Value Mart, around 5PM. By the time I arrived on the scene, T&D had loaded her car on their tow truck and shortly thereafter, towed her car to their body shop (about 2 miles away from where the accident happened) on a Friday around 5PM. I went to their shop the immediate next day around mid day to have them release the car so that I could have it towed to my preferred auto body shop. After trying to convince me to use their services by telling me every other body shop are crooks and will put under par parts in my vehicle, Tony Jr. (owner) told me I had to pay $521 to have the car released (for a day of storage and less two miles tow???). I said since he left me no choice I would pay and I reluctantly handed him $521 in cash as he had demanded but I also mentioned that I had to express how I felt I was being taken advantage of. What happened next? Tony raised his hand in a "back slap motion" intimidating me, calling me " a F... piece of sh..." and violently exclaiming "get the f.... out of my shop!" - Shortly thereafter, Tony Sr. poked his head in the reception and told me to forget about my car and come back on Monday. So, I left. An hour later my wife and daughter (followed by a Glen Cove police escort to assure their safety) went back to his shop to get her eyeglasses, medicine and wallet out of her car, but Tony Sr. told would not give them access to her car. When my daughter told him he is a "bad person" and he should really think how horrible it would feel if he were in his place - to which he sarcastically responded "I'll sleep on it - get out now! we're closed". So, my advice: if you ever need to be towed in this neighborhood, or select an auto body shop, stay away from these maniacs. For local towing, I highly recommend Jerry's Towing. Polite, respectful. Fair. For body shop, I would choose anyone but T&D. read more
