Jerry's is a very reliable source for well priced Italian deli, prepared and packaged foods. In particular, it has a GREAT cheese section that rivals any cheese specialty store. Most importantly it has a fromager - cheesemonger on staff! That means you can ask about your pairings and sample anything with a cheese expert. And the fromager here is fantastic. She's been there a very long time and she knows her stuff. Plus the prices can't be beat. The prepared food is very good, fresh and reasonably priced. They have a bakery section that has fresh items and they are all very good. I'll start right out by saying this is an old school Italian deli / store and everything about it contributes to the feel ... it's kinda like stepping back in time. Now that that's out the way, OMG THIS PLACE IS SO GREAT! I didn't know what to expect other than really stuffed sandwiches for crazy low prices (according to what my coworkers told me) and I absolutely got just that (massive turkey and cheese sandwich on fresh ciabatta for $8.99) plus an unexpected crazy array of cheeses, meats, prepared foods, wine, snacks, olives, pastas .... Literally soooooo much for prices that just don't make sense in 2025 ... and that's in a good way bc things are just so CHEAP! I got my sandwich, a bag of fresh cookies, praline pecans and lemon ginger cherries and a container of rainbow cherry tomatoes for $17 .... Like where am I????? Oh and the service at the counter is IMPECCABLE! The guys are friendly and treat your orders with such care! Shopping here is so much fun. It's like travelling through Italy wineries, farmlands, bistros and all. They have some fresh produce but there is an abundant amount of cheeses and wines and sauces and oils and fresh bread. This review isn't doing them justice. Avoid this place at all costs. Do you want to know how the keep their prices so low? Everything is stale and spoiled. I bought a number of items here today and the butter cookies were hard as a rock and the cheese inedible. Nothing looks appetizing in the store and it smells like a hospital inside. This place is the crème de la crème of Italian stores in NJ. I have not found one quite affordable and wide in selection as this place. Probably the biggest too. The lady behind the cheese counter is one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've met in a food store. She always knows what cheese works for what occasion and what kind of wine to pair it with. Suffice it to say, she is awesome. I bought 5 things here from the shelves and it came out to $15. This place is amazing. You can get great deals on lots of different items (Especially cheeses) while they offer one of the best selections of Italian groceries I've ever seen. The prepared food at the deli counter is great too. ...though the 5 star review is well deserved for the one thing I am about to mention by itself. This is where I get my favorite italian hero: The #1: Proscutto, Capicollo, Sopresatta, Mozzarella on a hero. Everything on it, with extra hot peppers. This sandwich is better than I have ever had. I used to use Jerry's years ago as my primary catering vendor for a former employer. Years later I decided to try Jerry's again for a catering event for work. I ordered wraps, salad, desserts, meatballs and pasta. The meatballs were OK. The salad was Meh and same for the pasta. The wraps were absolutely horrible! They were dry! They were hard! They tasted like cardboard is what a few of my employees stated! I was shocked and embarrassed! Never again! Never again! Oh and they also showed up 45 minutes early for delivery! There is nothing not to like about Jerry's! This market has things that you didn't think you would need. I love the deli, all of the premade food, as well as ALL the samples of various cheeses. They also have an additional space in the back with a bakery and they sell special sauces, pastas, and etc. My go-to is their cookie platters- reasonably priced for a nice portion. Parking can be a challenge because they can be so busy, but there is street parking and a few spaces on the opposite side of the building. Did I mention how much I love coming here! read more

The prices and the freshness are unsurpassed, staff is knowledgeable (love the cheese lady!!!) and very helpful. They have a small corner with sugar-free products which is appreciated. This place is amazing. Take a number, and take your time. Get some sandwiches, everything is sliced to order (so be patient). Weekends are rather busy, those people who are "in the know" call ahead to secure all of their favourite prepared foods (octopus, cutlets, the orzo salad, the salmon...), I learned this by listen to two people fight over the last of the octopus at 10:30am. Endless variety of cheeses and Italian imported sausages. I have never been to Italy but I assume Jerry's is just a peek of heaven that the shops there may be. Closes super early and you'll see spoiled upper middle class women rushing in screaming at the hot dish workers to pack her some mozzarella balls and different varieties of hot dishes to go. Yeah people suck but what are you gonna do, it's usually the spoiled brats who keep businesses running. I was super impressed by the extensive wine selections and the space this place takes up! From the outside it looks like a small mom and pop shop but inside you discover it's actually an entire warehouse. Make sure you're not getting your generic American made commercial junk from Shoprite for the cheeses and meats and come here!!
