Jerry's is our family's go-to place for Italian products, spirits, and a wide selection of cheeses from around the world! (Great Prices too!) The friendly staff always make it a pleasure to shop there. The vibe is very old-school Italian mini market. I always stop by when I'm in the area.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Tons of imported goods. They have premade fresh items. Prices are reasonable. Some items are even cheaper than chain grocers. They have specials, pastries, homemade pasta, hot and cold sandwiches, hot and cold meals, deli items, cheeses, cookies, desserts, meats, yogurts, milks, produce, anything you could need. Love it here!

OMG. This place is amazing! There used to be a huge variety of items. It's so hard to decide! Everyone is so helpful but I have to give a special shout out to Denise. She went above and beyond to help me. I needed to make a charcuterie platter for 50 people and I was unsure of what to get. We really connected and Had a great conversation. She even asked to see photos of the final product. The customer service, selection of gourmet products and cheeses, the prices, are all top notch! Rub don't walk to Jerry's!

This place is the crème de la crème of Italian stores in NJ. I have not found one quite affordable and wide in selection as this place. Probably the biggest too. The lady behind the cheese counter is one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've met in a food store. She always knows what cheese works for what occasion and what kind of wine to pair it with. Suffice it to say, she is awesome. I bought 5 things here from the shelves and it came out to $15. That would never have happened at Acme or Shoprite, or even Trader Joe's. Go here, you won't regret it.

Ask the Community - Jerry's Gourmet

    Do they provide bags?

No - you have to bring your own, or they do sell very chic canvas totes that you can purchase onsite for your groceries that aren't expensive.

    What time you close sat?

due to the situation with Covid-19, we are currently closing at 5PM every evening and are closed on Sundays for the time being.

    Do they have mini pastries?

Yes, in the back there is a bakery section

Do you guys carry buffalo mozzarella?

    Yes we do!

How do I go about heating food if I don't own a microwave? Are there instructions for ovens? My concern is the pasta dishes drying out? Or do I have to use a stove top method?

I think it all depends on what you get. The easiest answer is to transfer things to an oven safe dish, cover it in foil and go low slow. Overheating leads to items being dried out and just yucky.

From the moment we walked in, it was all that I wanted- reminiscent of the Italian shops and delis my parents would take me to when I was a kid. The ambiance told me right away that the sandwich I sought (the 'Casa') was going to be good....as did the two guys in line ahead of me, one who went so far as to say it would be life changing. Service was great- super helpful and patient as we perused the counter. Wanting to be thorough () we ordered two Casa's....one on Ciabatta, and one on a hero. First off....both bread vehicles were incredible. The hero was crunchy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, while the ciabatta was perfectly thin (allowing you to fully enjoy all of the fresh, delicious ingredients), with a golden crust. Just perfect. Oh yeah- the ingredients.... The Casa is filled with perfectly sliced prosciutto, house made mozzarella, sun dried peppers, and balsamic glaze. The balsamic tied everything together beautifully and was a wonderful touch to the sandwich, while the mozz....well...I'll say this... If you ask 10 people on Arthur Ave who makes the best Mozzarella around, and a good number of people are going to tell you it's Casa Della. And I'm here to tell you that their Mozzarella is the truth. It's delicious, creamy, flavorful...it's the kind of stuff that will have you standing in front of the establishment, Casa in hand (and mouth) without a care in the world, or whether or not people are staring at you while you scarf or down. It's that good. Also- prices are extremely reasonable, and you receive a ton of value for your dollar. Casa Della Mozzarella is not just the Casa. They are a fully loaded market and deli, loaded with everything you need, whether for a quick lunch on the go, or to supply dinner or your fridge at home. Definitely a can't miss, must check out spot.

The interior of Joe's is awesome, with the walls stocked with a great supply of Italian cooking fare. As you journey towards the deli counter you're immediately greeted with an offer to sample the fresh, house made mozzarella. Captain obvious pro tip: SAMPLE THE MOZZ To put it plainly, this was the best mozzarella I have ever had in my life, and I am someone who enjoys his mozz. It had a delicious milky flavor, was extremely smooth, and had a wonderful salt profile that took it to another level. It was truly amazing. I could go on about it forever, but in the essence of time... Our intent was to order 2 chicken parm heroes, but the man at the counter who gave us the mozz sample recommended the 'Brontese' and after reading the ingredients (Prosciutto diParma, fresh mozz, wild arugula, Sicilian pistachio cream, evoo, cracked pepper) I went for it. Needless to say it may have been the best deli sandwich I've ever had. The way the pistachio combined with the prosciutto and mozzarella-but didn't overtake it, was amazing. So to go along with my Brontese, we ordered a Chicken Parm, and a Bronx Bee (crispy chicken cutlet, hot honey drizzle, fresh mozz, sweet soppressata, hot cherry peppers, baby arugula) and loved them all. Outrageous value as sandwich prices are extremely reasonable. Awesome experience at Joe's. The staff was incredible...helpful, kind, and went out of their way to talk food with us.
