    DSNY
    Najwa G.

Joe's Italian Deli is a staple to Little Italy in the Bronx & rightfully so. I had the DSNY ie "the strongest" which included breaded chicken, fried eggplant, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, & vinaigrette. And yes, it tastes just as heavenly as it sounds. The bread is great too- classic Italian bread, what's not to love? All in all, Joe's is great & I can see myself ordering from there a lot more often since I frequent the area.

Local Italian deli. Got all the different trimmings and cheeses you could want. The sandwiches were pretty solid and you could easily split one.

DSNY is a MUST! This sandwich was perfection. I also tried the Last Meal and the FDNY. They were very good as well! All the ingredients seem fresh. The bread is soft and not too thick so easy to bite into the sandwiches. All sandwiches are $13.78; it came to about $75 for 5 sandwiches. Good price for the size of the sandwiches! I got two meals out of mine. We ordered online since it was around lunchtime and we didn't want to risk waiting. Our order was ready when we got there and it wasn't very busy. There were a few people eating at the tables inside, which is nice that they have those. The only unfortunate thing was that I didn't have the chance to look at all the products they sell.

The staff that helped me was kind and quick. The interior of the shop was clean and sell other items from Italy. I got the DSNY because it has all the components that I like. The filling was great, but I wish the bread was crusty and had more of a different texture that can elevate the sandwich.

the last meal sandwich - so good. My favorite of the 3

So worth the drive to this delicious deli. They were super friendly and we even got a sample of their freshly made mozzarella. Omg.

Delectable mozzarella; I could eat it all day. Also has a huge pasta selection and gift options for the holidays (like well curated baskets).

Had the most amazing chicken cutlet sub here. You know when you have a picture in your mind of what something should be like, and it actually blows your mind? Yeah, that's how good this sandwich was. You can't beat the bread and they had a real nice selection of Italian deli supplies as well, from vinegar and olive oil to pasta and other items. A great alternative when the famous places are too busy.

    Bronx Zoo hero.

I'm from Queens, visiting the Botanical Garden and the Zoo for the day. A local couple recommended Tino's to me. On my way there, I discovered Joe's with no regrets. I orders the "Bronx Zoo" huge old-school hero, $16, well worth it. Was 1/3 of my Bronx day trip experience. Would love to go back.

I have been here numerous times before and this trip was the usual - nothing short of spectacular! Love their sandwich selection and today had the NY Botanical...amazing!

DSNY with arugula and hot peppers. It's huge. Big enough for two meals or two people

I am a huge Italian sandwich fan and ever since discovering the chicken cutlet with prosciutto I've tried many variations on this. With marinara without, but usually with hot peppers and mozzarella. This place has a version that is so good I might say it's the best I've ever had. And it was only 14 bucks and big enough to be cut in three sections (2/3 of the sandwich is enough for a hungry lunch) I will say that any time I see boars head at a speciality sandwich shop I find it odd (why have the same provider as every corner deli in the world) but this place is legit through and through. Excellent selection or sandwiches, premade foods, imported Italian goods, pastas, the works. I'll be back for more.

One word: mozzarella. Ok two words: *fresh* mozzarella. This place is an immersive experience. The people behind the counter are bantering enthusiastically and handing samples of the multitude of things to taste behind the counter. Do yourself a favor when you find Joe's nearby - get yourself a plate of fresh mozzarella or antipasti and a sandwich (they big), and sit down at one of the 3 tables inside and watch your tastebuds fly to heaven when you taste that mozz. Seriously, try the fresh mozzarella. The only bad thing is that all mozzarella in your future will not compare.

I don't think this sandwich was my favorite unfortunately. The bread had a funky smell(?) to it, and I feel like it fell a little flat on flavors and textures. Regardless, I am glad I tried and met the incredible team!

I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island!
