All this leads to a weird vibe - I had to ask "where is the distillery tasting?" And was shocked to find this is the place. Oh well, on to the tasting. That was not great. The Hogshead Whiskey was ok but nothing special. Billy wheat whiskey would be a good mixer but that's about it. And the monkey puzzle is aptly named. Because it had this monkey puzzled about what the heck it was. Certainly not a good whiskey!! Before I left I found out there was a Billy rye. Now THAT was the redeemer. So much so I left with a bottle.

I moved in the neighborhood up the street recently and have A MAJOR problem with the poker rules. In the 2x I was able to play, I've lost $30 with the "3min" away from machine rule. If you have to pee, or get a drink, you're screwed. It is NOT OK to go on a machine and just take their $$. I just moved in the hood. and love the bartenders. But, I don't think I can ever come back here. l have spent constantly $350 a night, easy in poker. And if I get getting accosted to pee or get a drink in "3min" I'm out!!!!m going to keep with my SE Tried & TRUE.

The Little Red Shed is cute and I imagine you can get in and out a lot faster if there wasn't a concert. But since there was one the line was long as everyone wanted something alcoholic to drink. The inside of the shed is cute as well. It's pretty much just this bar but there is a small section of seating but not much. It could potentially fill up fast. Once it was my turn in line I got the cocktail drink special for the night which was very good and refreshing. I went back for another later in the show and there was no line to deal with. Woo Hoo! If you have a McMenamins passport The Little Red Shed will indeed get you a stamp by paying it a visit!

It used to be an incinerator in Edgefield's poor farm days. Now it has a lovely fireplace, low ceilings, and moody lighting, for you to enjoy ales and spirits and liquor. They have peanuts, which you can shell directly onto the floor. This is the original "small bar" concept from McMenamins and it's just absolutely charming as well as inspiring. What could you do with tiny spaces in your own home to make them magical?

Two restrooms available. Seating inside and outside Service was good as they did warn us the food would take a while with the small crowd hanging out. The "chicken tendies" were SO GOOD. Three big pieces with the perfect crunch. I got franks hot sauce and blue cheese as the dip. I'll probably get two of Franks hot sauce next time. They tasted like quality chicken that was juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries came with it and they were on the salty side but not bad. Definitely would return for the chicken tenders! I believe it was around $12 but the pieces were big and just amazing to eat fresh and hot!

Simple menu. 3. Bartenders who know their job and don't fuss over you just because you are drinking high end gin. 4. Decor - red velvet and the bar stools! 5. Easy parking in the neighborhood. What you have to turn a blind eye to: 1. Bathrooms are not pretty. 2. It's a local crowd feel and they'll get to you but take a load off and be patient. The grilled cheese is worth the order and the Bloody Mary was pretty good. If you are in sellwood there are two or three places like the Yukon and it's worth a visit to experience a certain vibe that doesn't exist in 98 percent of other bars.
