Finally went in to check this place out. Seems clean and it was a Wednesday morning so not too busy. Lots of us oldsters. We ordered off the regular bfast menu but our very nice attendant brought us a specials menu for the rickety. Yay! I had the pulled pork scramble which was great. GREAT Bloody Mary! Friends had B&G w OE, and basic breakfast w toast, eggs, hashbrowns and Neil had Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce didn't thrill him but he was fairly happy with it. Came in for lunch with my wife. My wife asked the bartender if she could make a flavored lemon drop. The waitress told us that she had liqueurs and so my wife asked if she had creme of cassis. The bartender just stared at my wife like she had no idea what she was talking about. I then asked if she had chambord and she rudely replied, " I know what chambord is honey, Ive been a bartender for 15 years". I can't imagine being a bartender for 15 years and not knowing what Cassis is, and calling a male customer "Honey", especially in front of his wife, is low class. read more

We had not been to Skyland Pub for quite a few years....so many restaurants and pubs to choose from! Madi K our waitress was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and a pork quesadilla. She mentioned that the kitchen staff would halve each one...yay! The quesadillas were very good! Large serving with a side of salsa and sour cream. Happy hour is 3-6 pm so these were $8 each. We will definitely keep Skyland Pub on our radar! Enjoy! read more

I've eaten here many times. The breakfast is great. However, I had the Friday Prime Rib Special on 10/15 and it was the worst thing I've ever tasted. It was so bad that my only conclusion is that it was poisoned or tampered with. Needless to say, I only had one bite. The waitress never even asked what was wrong when she cleared my full plate. To make matters worse, when presented with the check, she gave me someone else's order and card. I had to track her down to get the right check. She then ran another person's card on my bill. Again, I had to track her down. Finally, she grabbed all the cards and asked what one was mine and what order was mine. Really too bad that my experience was so horrible, as this is a convenient place for me to eat. The only reason I am even giving one star is because I have been a customer for years and I know what the Skyland can be. We came in for late breakfast on Sunday. The place was not half full but yet we got no service. I finally went up to the bar to get menus for ourselves to be ready for the server, but we got no service. The girl behind the bar never even made eye contact nevermind greet me. Everyone seated at the bar had their food and drinks. Back on the floor tables were being wiped, people were getting menus and having their orders taken and then there was our table. We got no service. I am sure she saw us. She walked within 5 feet of us...again....no eye contact or greeting and no service. I worked in F&B for years...it wasn't that busy. I have now gotten up to get lunch menus because we have waited so long it is past the breakfast cut off even though we heard the table behind us ordering breakfast. They came in after us. We got no service.see. So we got up to leave. As I looked back at the servers, they stood together at the end of the bar and they saw us. They actually watched us walk out. What the heck? Easy going place with decent food and good libations. We always get the same server and she is pronto with her service as well as very friendly. We try and stay away from your typical greasy burger/fries and they actually have a menu with salads on them. We usually have salmon caesar salad.. with a side of tator tots.. (OK so I cheat a little - what the hell - I'm in a sports bar). We come here for the games only so we have one point of view but that's good enough for us. As soon as we walked in it took about 10-15minutes to be acknowledged at the bar and keep in mind it was a Monday night and wasn't packed at all, once we were seated it took about another 10minutes for them to take our order. We ordered the bacon cheesy tots and when they came you could tell the cheese was like the kind you get from a gas station and before we could eat it the cheese started to get cold and little hard. The bartenders/waiters kept going to the exact same tables and you could tell they were waiting on their friends and it took about another 10 minutes to finally get some one's attention to ask for a box which never came and we finally just got up and paid and left. read more

Today I came in at 3pm, everyone was sitting at the bar or playing pool so the only place to sit was in the main dining room so the bartender didn't see me for 15 minutes. After I ordered she was quick to bring my drinks and salad and everything was good. When my spaghetti arrived it looked great, sauce was good but I noticed it had a strong taste of salt. My best guess is the paste was cooked in WAY too much salt, couldn't finish it was so bad. I'm not a big drinker, nor am I a huge sports fan. So why would I be crowing about a sports bar? Baklava! Back in 1990, what is now the Skyland Pub was an empty boarded up building. Then one day it's open, so I go in. The new Greek owners had lined the walls with TV screens showing various sporting events - which like I said, I don't really care about - and their serving beer - which is okay, but not really going to capture my heart - and Gyros - now we're getting closer, but not the cigar - and the family matriarch's home made baklava - oh for the love of God, that's it! That baklava was to die for! I used to drop in, belly up to the bar, and order Baklava. Okay, fast forward to 2013. The Seattle Seahawks are 6 and 1 and it's starting to get exciting. I don't have cable, but rather a antenna on my roof. It's Sunday afternoon and the game is starting but there's the trail end of a tropical storm thrashing my antenna - it's quaking like a mad metronome - and I've got nothing but Salvador Dali on my screen. Then I remember all of those TV's at the Skyland. The Greeks are gone and so is the Baklava. But the Gyros are still there and so is the beer. On a Sunday afternoon the place is packed, but I alway manage to get a beer and a Gyros and table in front of the Seahawks screen. What more can you ask of a sports bar? read more

Sat for 15 mins and literally watched others walk in after we got there and they walked right up to them and got their drinks started. That bar sucks and I was once again reminded why I don't eat there. Get better employees who notice two people sitting at a table with no drinks in front of them. I don't mind going to Skyland, but it's not my favorite either. I've gone twice for happy hour. The price is definitely right. However, be warned that the well drinks are advertised as $2.00, but they are actually $2.50 (well SHOTS are $2...adding a mixer adds .50...false advertising much?). Both times I have ordered a well drink (two different occasions), it was SO strong I could barely drink it! Over pouring me thinks... Happy hour food is super cheap, but really greasy. That's not always a bad thing though. The first time I went here I had a HORRID experience with the waitress. My friend and I were ignored most of the time we were there, and she even had the audacity to literally SLAM my credit card on the table when she came back from collecting our bill. However, I emailed the manager and she was super nice and gave me a gift card and assured the problem would be taken care of. Reasons to go: Good location, TV's everywhere, good place to just "hangout". Some of their happy hours specials are awesome, which is quite an extended time during dinner. The $3 pita pizza is one of the best deals you'll find anywhere. Got my food in decent time even with how busy it was. The chefs there know what they are doing.
