The bartender was looking right at us but didn't come over or say anything, which was a bit off-putting, especially since it was empty. A simple "Hi, welcome in" or a quick explanation of how ordering works would have gone a long way. We later realized she was also the cook, which made us feel a little bad ordering food at all. It just seemed like there could've been better communication upfront. That said, if you're just looking for great beer and a solid selection, this is definitely a good spot. It was only $25 per person and took us 3 hours. - I signed up for the Makers Tour and highly recommend it! Lots of tastings and great historical facts along the way. - The soaking pools at night were perfect to relax muscles right before bed plus no kids after 8pm. - This hotel doesn't revolve around children. The movies that were showing were rated R and most of the pubs and pool hall are 21+. Kids are welcome - but I've never seen that many kids around which I like, personally. - It's very Dog Friendly!! - The live music is incredible. I've been here for big concerts on the lawn plus mini concerts down the winery hall. They were all amazing. - It can get noisy between 7-11pm especially in weekends! The building is old - not sure about insulation and things! Bring some earplugs, a positive attitude and maybe enjoy an extra drink! Or go during the week for a quieter experience. - The food is a bit pricey but if you are doing the passport it makes a little more sense. Some of my favorites are the Cajun Tots, Portland Dip, any Burger, and the Bagel and Lox Breakfast is Incredible!!!

I hope this is a short term gig for him as he was non-existent...which is what I expected. His lack of attentiveness to me was horrendous. We visited late afternoon on a Sunday and they were quite busy with families with younger kids. They have seating inside and out of the patio. Smoking isn't allowed on the patio, but unfortunately they have their designated smoking spot just outside the far corner of the patio (at least that's where the cigarette butt receptacle is) so cigarette smoke was blowing on us while we tried to enjoy our beers on the patio - ick! (and we were sitting on the far side of the patio away from the person smoking). They have a nice variety of beers, and you can get a taster flight of 6 beers, 4 oz. pours each, if you're having trouble deciding. Their pizza is supposed to be great, but we didn't eat while we were there, so I can't speak to the good quality.
